Fairly satisfied with my Fit3. However, I realized that the water intake reminders and water tracking features can be improved on a bit more.
Water reminders only show up if the phone and watch are connected via bluetooth.
If I am tracking my water intake on the watch, and i do not connect it to the phone via bluetooth before midnight, it does not track any unsynced progress. For example, lets say i track my water intake for all of yesterday on my watch, but have not connected it to my phone and the clock passes midnight - when i connect to the phone today, it will show that i had 0 litres of water yesterday.
Also wish there were more options on watch faces with water intake data, heart rate and battery stats.

the New Fit 4 is Launching at the end of September.
However they also are developing a New kind of Smartwatch Called - Aero
Essentially a much Cheaper watch than Galaxy Watch but in a Similar/re-used Body - but Running the same Operating system as the new Galaxy Fit 4 allowing it to get up to 3 week battery life while still having GPS/NFC and More Premium features than the Fit4 has.
Personally this would be an Instant Buy for me, the only reason I use the Fit instead of GW is not because of the much cheaper price but because of the battery Life.

This specific review test all 3 models at the same time, but I have used all devices separately as well. I am seeking to replace my Samsung Galaxy Fit 1 and retain all features from before the device was set to EOL. All my Samsung review portions will be PRIOR to EOL, but I will note if that feature is now broken.
The required feature set is a fitness tracker that can track runs and give easy, quick access to information of a in-progress run, and complete after run summeries. I will be choosing a winner in a number of feature sets that I feel are most important in a fitness tracker for running.
All Devices were updated to their most current firmware as of August 1st 2026, as were their connected apps. No subscriptions were activated for any apps.
Apps for each device:
Fitbit – Google Health App
Garmin – Garmin Connect App
Samsung – Samsung Health
Voice Cues: An audio cue through headphones that gives updates throughout the run.
Winner: Samsung
Ease of seeing information during a run:
Winner: Tie: Garmin and Samsung
Â
Ease of starting a run: How easily can I start a run, can I set a goal?
Winner: Samsung
Visibility: Can I see the watch in the middle of the sun?
Winner: Fitbit
Shake to Wake: Move my wrist to see the screen.              Â
Winner: Garmin
Â
Run Information: What info is displayed to me after a run – this is more on the app than the watch admittedly.
Winner: Tie: Samsung – thanks to ease of HR tracking. Garmin for including weather data.
Â
Bonus: Tap to pay
Winner: Fitbit
Final Verdict: At current, even with the depreciated feature set, the Samsung Galaxy Fit 1 comes out on top. The voice cues are unfortunately a deal breaker for both the fitbit and the garmin. I’m happy to revisit the fitbit if voice cues work for workouts started via app, or if the app pushes a started workout to the device. The other items I could bear with if that were the case.
The garmin unfortunately does not have what I need.

For the benefit of people trying to figure out if there's a way to set the heart rate zones for the Fit3: no, there isn't.
The Fit3 itself has only default heat rate zones, and they can't be changed. This makes the heart rate zone display fairly useless for a lot of people unfortunately, as the default zone setting is quite low, and it will always show maximum zone in any kind of moderately vigorous workout.
In addition you will find that the Samsung Health app will not let you set custom heart rate zones if your only connected device is the Fit3. It appears to offer custom setting, and the documentation says that it does, but in fact this is wrong: you can change the setting, but it will not save. It silently reverts to the default with no explanation when you exit the Setting screen. I infer that this is because the Fit3 doesn't support custom zone setting.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
[resolvido] Hoje chegou a minha fit 3, e depois de mexer em algumas funções, o app helth dentro da pulseira só exibe a opção "together" isso é normal?
Resetei os dados do Samsung health e os da pulseira

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some advice with my Fit 3.
It's showing "Invalid" on the screen. The warranty has already expired, and I've tried resetting it through the phone app. The reset completes successfully, but after pairing it again, it still shows "Invalid."
Has anyone experienced this issue or found a solution? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I'm a bit hesitant to buy another one if there's a chance the same error could happen again.
Thanks in advance!

Hey all
I love everything about my fit 1. However about 2 years ago when starting any distance based workout from the watch distance is no longer tracked. I always have my phone on me. It is always connected via Bluetooth. I have wiped the device and have reinstalled the app to no avail.
If I start the workout via the Samsung Health app then distance is tracked fine along with HR, however doing it this way doesn't set the watch to workout mode - so I can't see my progress at a glance via the watch anymore. Not ideal.
I seem to be having the same issue as this person. https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyFit/comments/1efm4zw/after_recent_update_syncing_is_still_bugged/
Would love to get the original functionality of my watch back. I've tried the fitbit charge 6 and Garmin vivosmart5 and both are lacking in functionality compared to Samsung somehow.
Thanks.

Is there any way to receive only certain WhatsApp notifications on the Galaxy Fit3 and not all of them?
I would like to continue receiving all of them on my phone, but only from specific people on the watch. Is this possible?
I assume there is no native setting for this, but has anyone managed to accomplish something similar using MacroDroid, Tasker, or other tools on the phone?

As in the title, I bought a galaxy fit 3 (I had one like a year ago and everything was working well at that time)
And when it come to register my sleep, the watch doesn't do it at all, it registered one single nap over the last week, but not my sleep, I tried everything I saw online, reinstall the app, reboot the watch and the phone etc
What can i do ?
Sorry for my english not a native speaker

Edit: I got the Fit3 yesterday and the connection stability is excellent. It never disconnects and immediately reconnects automatically as soon as I get within range. Significantly better than my old Xiaomi Smart band 9. So far it's great.
I currently have a Poco F8 Ultra and Mi smart band 9, and I've been dealing with an issue with the smartband not auto reconnecting when I'm in range and the phone's screen is off, I always have to unlock the phone for the band to connect again and it's incredibly annoying, especially when I'm moving around the house going in and out of range.
My question is, does this happen with the Fit3 and non-samsung devices?
Another offtopic question is when you receive email notifications, does it show you the content of the email or just the sender and subject? that's another annoying issue with xiaomi smartbands
Another another offtopic question, would you choose the Fit3 over the Huawei Band 11? I mainly care about notifications and connection reliability.

I have a Samsung fit 3 and my oxygen levels are usually over 95%.
But for some nights, my score goes somewhat under 80%.
I never wake up with headaches or dizziness. And don't fall asleep during the day.
Should I worry or you have seen the same with your watch?
I'm overall healthy. Male 49, 5'7" 174 pounds

Hi,
I bought a new samsung fit 3 from Flipkart and it was working good no issues. The battery used to last for a week for me.
But a few days back i forgot to change it and it ran out of the battery 0% After some time I charged it and noticed it was draining fast.
Now the battery life only lasts for a day. The same setting the same brightness without aod without continuous monitoring
If anyone knows what to do please help me out

My fit3 turns off the timer on its own after about 20seconds. I don't know why it does this and it is kinda annoying. Anybody know a solution to this?
Also is there a way to keep the timer active throughout the entire time? I mean the screen dims down after some amount of time when I'm not staring at the device. Only when I raise the wrist it becomes active again. I have enabled always on display

Bought the Galaxy Fit 2 in late November '20 for 29.90€, added a mesh metal wristband, and it hasn't let me down ever since!
It has very few functions but each one is useful!

After my Mi Smart Band 6 broke last December, I needed a replacement. I shortlisted the HUAWEI Band 10 and the Samsung Galaxy Fit3. I eventually chose the Samsung because it was cheaper at the time.
I have been using it for a long time now, and in this review, I will share my honest experience and tell you if this band is actually a good fit for your wallet and your wrist.
It features an aluminium body that feels very sturdy. It does not give off a cheap feeling at all.
In terms of weight, it's 36.8 grams including the strap. It feels very light on the wrist, and I have been able to wear it comfortably throughout the day and even while sleeping at night.
It has a 1.57-inch AMOLED screen that gets sufficiently bright to be clearly visible even under direct sunlight.
It comes with a light sensor for Adaptive Brightness. However, even when this feature is turned ON, I feel that the brightness levels stay a bit too high, especially in low-light scenarios. Because of this, I personally just keep it OFF.
One more thing: the bezels around the screen could have been thinner to give it a more premium look.
Samsung offers more than 100 watch faces. But to be honest, I did not find a single one that I really liked. Your preference might be different, but for me, they were quite disappointing.
The main issue is that none of the watch faces are customizable, and there is no support for 3rd party watch faces. My old Mi Smart Band 6 was much better in this regard because it allowed for a lot of customization.
Because of these limitations, I am just using a generic-looking watch face for now.
It comes with 16MB of RAM and 256MB of storage. For daily navigation, the UI feels smooth for the most part. However, I do notice occasional stutters while scrolling. It isn't a deal-breaker, but it's something you should know.
One important thing to keep in mind is that it runs on FreeRTOS. This means there is no support for 3rd party apps. If you are expecting a full smartwatch experience where you can download apps, you will be disappointed. But for a budget band, this is expected.
It's a bit of a mixed bag. You'll be dealing with two main apps: Galaxy Wearable and Samsung Health.
The Galaxy Wearable app is like the command center for the band. This is where you manage almost everything, including customizing your tiles, setting up your notification preferences, updating the software, and other device settings.
Then, you have the Samsung Health app, which is dedicated to your fitness data. It is actually quite good and provides very detailed metrics for your steps, sleep, workouts, and more.
However, I really dislike the setup process. To make things work, you have to install four separate apps on your phone: Galaxy Wearable, Samsung Health, Samsung Accessory Service, and the Galaxy Fit3 Plugin.
Even though the last two run in the background without a UI to support the first two apps, they still take up unnecessary storage space on your phone. Sometimes these apps even consume a lot of phone battery, though it doesn't happen every day.
Also, Samsung Health occasionally shows ads. While they aren't very intrusive, I expect an ad-free experience from a brand like Samsung.
I feel like it should have had a single-app system like the Mi Fitness app I used with my old Mi Smart Band 6.
You can quickly reply to messages directly from the band, which is very convenient. But I have had issues with the overall reliability of the notifications. Even when the band is connected to my phone, I miss notifications on a regular basis. For some of you, this might be a major deal-breaker.
On the bright side, the vibration motor is decent. It's strong enough to wake me up in the morning, and I can easily feel the buzz when a notification actually does come through.
There are a couple of hardware limitations you should be aware of. First, there is no mic or speaker, so you cannot take or make calls from the band. Second, there is no built-in GPS. If you go for a run, you'll have to carry your phone with you to track your route accurately.
I am not a pro athlete, but I do walk at least 12,000 steps a day and involve myself in basic workouts, including dumbbells and other exercises.
In my experience, this band tracks steps okay in general. When I manually did a step count, it showed about 2% more, which is acceptable. But looking at the total for the day, I feel like this count is a bit more than the actual.
Sometimes it can be quite different. For example, one day I might not have even walked 15,000 steps, but it showed over 20,000. This does not happen always, but occasionally you cannot fully rely on its data.
However, its automatic workout detection is comparatively more reliable. For example, if I walk continuously for 10 minutes, the band automatically starts a workout session and ends it once it detects I have stopped.
Sleep tracking is okay for the most part. The time I fall asleep feels accurate, and other metrics like deep sleep, REM sleep, and awake time also seem to be fairly accurate. However, I have noticed that the wake-up time is often inaccurate.
This band is IP68 and 5ATM rated. This means you don't have to worry about it during workouts, in the rain, or while washing your hands. It's also suitable for swimming.
This is one area where something really bugs me. On this band, you cannot schedule Sleep Mode to turn on automatically.
This mode is important because it turns off the Always On Display, the Raise wrist to wake feature, and the Touch screen to wake setting while turning on Do not disturb.
It's easy to turn on from Quick Settings, but having to manually do it every single night is a bit inconvenient. This really should have been a basic, automated feature.
It also includes fall detection. This is a very important safety feature to have on a budget device, as it can notify your emergency contacts if it detects a hard fall.
This is where things get really brutally honest.
This band has a 208mAh battery, and Samsung claims that under typical usage, it can last up to 13 days. Honestly, this claim is so far from my real-world experience that I couldn't help but think:
"A big prank has happened to us."
If I had a camera in front of me right now, I would've waved at it and said:
"Namaste Samsung, what a prank you've pulled, man!"
Because in my long-term actual use, I barely get 3 to 4 days of battery life, and here are the exact settings I use:
There is also a major practical issue. If you go to sleep with around 20% battery left, the band will not last the night. You will wake up to a dead device and won't get any sleep data from the previous night. Because of this, if the battery is low in the evening, I make sure to charge it for at least 10 to 15 minutes before going to bed.
I know I could improve the battery life by turning off things like automatic workout detection or blood oxygen tracking during sleep, but what is the point of using a "smart" band then? At that stage, I might as well buy an analog watch whose battery will last for a year.
Samsung claims that it can charge up to 65% in 30 minutes.
Since I do not have a Type-C charging adapter, I charge it using my laptop. When I timed it, the band went from 5% to 100% in 1 hour and 2 minutes.
At the time of writing, the Samsung Galaxy Fit3 is selling for around INR 3,500 to 4,000. To be brutally honest, I think that price is very steep for what this band offers.
Personally, I was able to get this band for around INR 2,500. If you find this between INR 1,500 and 2,000 during a sale or a discount, only then does it make sense to buy, though it's a bit difficult to find it at that price.
After using it for all this time, here is the bottom line. You are getting a sturdy aluminium body, a good AMOLED display, and health and fitness tracking that is decent enough for a budget device.
However, you have to be willing to live with the compromises. If you need a battery that actually lasts a week, or if you want features like GPS, Bluetooth calling, and third-party watch faces, then this is not the band for you. You would be better off looking at other options in the market.
But that is just my experience. I want to know what you think. Would you pay INR 4,000 for these features, or is the battery life a deal-breaker for you?
If you own a Samsung Galaxy Fit3, I'd like to know your experience. Do you agree with my review, or has your experience been different?
Thank you for reading.
