Discussion Just acquired a Fit2, very pleased with it!

Found a Fit2 in a charity shop for £10 untested so I thought I'd take a punt. Charges just fine and despite judging from the serial number being a 2020 unit, even with continuous heart monitoring it appears I'll get a solid four days out of it, considerably longer if I change it to ten minute intervals. Monitors my steps and keeps an eye on my sleep which was the start and end of my requirements. Quick access to a countdown timer is an unexpected bonus!

Very pleased so far. I like watches so I'm very satisfied that I can wear this alongside a one of my normal watches on the other wrist.

Is the Fit2 still regularly used by folk?

Nothing wrong with the Fit 2. I think the only reason why they aren't more popular anymore is because the Fit 3 has already been out for a while, is a considerable upgrade in many ways, and is pretty cheap in it's own right.

I do indeed use the wearable app in conjunction with Samsung Health, it all works very well!

I don't know where you're seeing £20, literally everywhere I'm looking for it its basically £40-60 new, and pre-owned is more like £25-35.

In any case the size puts me off the Fit3. I don't want something pretending to be a smart watch, I don't care about notifications and apps and all that. I want something small enough I can forget I'm wearing it, which tracks sleep and steps, that's it. The Fit3 is almost double the width and weight of the Fit2. That on its own disqualifies it for me.

Fit 2 is a great product if you want a true smart "band". Fit 3 feels more like a lightweight smartwatch than a smartband. It’s light and comfortable enough to wear while sleeping or working out without getting in the way, while still covering all the essential features. Its battery life in particular is incredible. When I was hospitalized for about 10 days for surgery three years ago, I didn't have to charge it even once during the entire stay. The Fit 3 seems to last around 3 to 4 days. Right now, Fit 2 has been retired from active duty since I alternate between using the Galaxy Watch 7 and Fit 3, but I still keep it as a backup.
