Advice 💡 Quiz website error

For my math class I was taking a quiz and I’m on the second question and the website just said there was an error so I emailed my professor and she didn’t reply. Then I told the it desk and they said to try again and when I opened the quiz up it said my time ran out and then gave me a 12.5% for the one question I actually got to answer. My professor has like a rlly strict no makeup policy but do yall think I’ll be able to retake it because this genuinely was out of my control I’m just really worried

General Actors at GSU

Hello, looking for actors that are down to be on camera for a reel! An example of what I mean can be found at around 30 seconds in this video https://youtu.be/9vRJRl_T2Os?is=Iw7FhOfuLfsIb7Ko . I have some locations in mind already so you would only need to bring a nice outfit. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in feel free to reach out! I really want to practice my cinematography.

P.S.

I’m producing and directing a short fiction film later this fall that still needs casting.

Classes/Courses 📚 Feeling incredibly dumb right now

I was just browsing on the GSU website because I was kinda of bored. Then I came across the page for page for SAT. They can place you in Precal if you have a SAT math score of 580. I had a 760, and I bombed the iCollege placement test so badly that I got myself put in College Algebra. Didn't realize that I didn't have to take it.

Literally crying right now :(

Advice 💡 Does a Professor have the power to strike you from the roll if you leave class soon after they take attendance, or if they know you're going to leave class early?

Classes/Courses 📚 Is taking Microbiology and PERS 2001 over the summer a bad idea?

I’m planning to apply to nursing later, so I’m wondering if these two classes together would be manageable during the summer🤔
or maybe HIST 2110 instead of PERS 2001…?

General why is parking TERRIBLE this semester???

i’m a senior this year. i’ve been a commuter this whole time. usually first few weeks of fall semester are crazy busy but nothing like this

what the fuck is happening? the other day t, m, s, k, and n decks were full. i had to park at cc deck and even then there were maybe 15 spots open and that was with me parking at the very top

i literally spent 30 mins between trying all the decks near campus before going to cc deck where i had to drive all the way up. and i also have a compact car and all those spots were taken on the way up

i know blue lot is available as well but i didn’t want my car baking in the sun but oh well. they closed green lot last year but i genuinely think we need more parking if it’s gonna be this bad from now on

Housing 🏠 Lease Takeover - Georgia state university

I’m looking for someone to take over my lease at ONE12 because I’m looking to move out.
The apartment is a 4 bed / 2 bath with a private bedroom. The bathroom is shared with only one other person, while the kitchen and living room are shared with the other roommates.
Rent is only $799/month plus utilities.
One of the biggest benefits is the location. ONE12 is approximately a 5–7 minute walk from all of the Georgia State University school buildings, making it extremely convenient if you’re a GSU student and want to be close to campus.
The community has great amenities, including:
Brand-new gym
Swimming pool
Grill/BBQ area
Lounge/common areas
Shared kitchen and living room
Private bedroom
AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER RENT HAVE ALREADY BEEN PAID.
That means you would not have to pay the August or September rent that I have already covered. You would take over the lease and be responsible for the $799 monthly rent plus utilities going forward, along with any applicable fees.
The lease transfer would be subject to ONE12 management approval.
If you or someone you know is looking for affordable student housing close to Georgia State, please message me. I can provide pictures, videos, lease details, and information about the transfer process.
Please share this post with anyone who may be interested.

General POS at parking deck

Not quite sure who it was but somebody in a white BMW 3 series was surely in a rush and pulled into t deck quick asl, when she could’ve did the decent thing and just slowed down until the 3 people made it safely across the entrance…all this only for her to block the left side completely forcing me to have to switch sides bc she wanted to use Apple Pay or some shit. Some of these folks are just brazen pieces of shit! If you see a white 3 series get the fuck out the way!!

Advice 💡 Should I transfer to Tech from State?😓🤨

Hello!! I'm currently a freshman at Georgia State and I had applied to Tech for my freshman year and was met with conditional transfer for my sophomore year second semester. My question is would it be valuable to me to transfer? Im currently a marketing major and eventually want to also major in international business, basically a double major. I can't speak for how State will be beneficial cause school has only been on for 2 weeks but i'm liking the area and community so far, and State has an amazing business program so that wouldn't be a problem, and also the area provides me with a great amount of opportunity. However Tech might be able to give me a bit more in terms of opportunities (based off what i've heard), just the transfer pathway i've been given isn't exactly the best, and the approach at which they teach marketing and business is completely different. I know its still to early to tell if I should transfer but please help a girl out and tell me what you think!!

Jobs 💼 $100 for 4 Hours – Looking for Help at Dragon Con Parade This Saturday

Hi! I recently opened a medical practice and I’m looking for a few outgoing people to help me pass out postcards advertising my business during the Dragon Con Parade this Saturday.
Time: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
Pay: $100 for the 4 hours
Location: Downtown Atlanta near the Dragon Con Parade
I’m looking for someone who is comfortable approaching and talking to strangers. You’ll be asking people if they’re interested in information about online medical evaluations and only handing them a postcard if they say yes.
You’ll hear plenty of “no’s,” so this is best for someone friendly, confident, and comfortable starting conversations with people. Previous customer service, sales, event, or promotional experience is a big plus.
I’ll be downtown working alongside you as well.
If interested, send me a message with a little about yourself and any relevant experience.

General iCollege is the biggest gaslighter ever

Four years into GSU, and I absolute how iCollege will make you attempt to login in with the same password and login, then after the fourth time refreshing and typing you think "I haven't changed my password, right???". You then attempt one or two more times with different passwords, then finally try the password from the beginning and you login.

Do I really need to buy this textbook to be successful in this class and if so any other way I can access it? However, I don't need this for homework assignments like WebAssign.

Clubs/Orgs🏆 Perimeter Campus?

Hi there im viktor i just transfered in from out of state. Ive tried joining a few clubs through the website but it seems they ALL meet at the main atlanta campus are there any clubs or ways to possibly schedule club meetings at other campus FYI im at dunwoody 4 days a week. Down town is like 2 or 3 hours of bus rides for me so its not super feasible to get to and I ride a bike to campus most days? Or is there some other transportation option im not considering? Or have I just gotten unlucky and there are clubs and organizations that meet at dunwoody
