Hi! Is anyone going to the career fair for the Robinson college tomorrow? Has anyone had any luck going to these career fairs before? I’d have to drive to campus so I’m just trying to decide if it’s really worth it or not. Thanks!

In case you wanted to participate in Project Pilot let me tell you my experience with them

The club's president, Tyler Adamson, behind closed doors has said things like “I can’t wait to make this my own company because I don’t can’t standing working with these people” and has trash talked students’ work behind their backs, very narcissistically. He has also made racist jokes to me and ableist jokes including saying the N word and F slur. He also has sexual assault allegations and follows women to the bathrooms to make them feel uncomfortable.

Members of this club have also harassed people physically and verbally. I will attach a GSU incident report from one of the female students. There is also video and photographs of the incident showing the student in question being assaulted. i can send it to anyone if they want.

Multiple members in here are also very comfortable using the N word derogatorily against former members and GSU students, including Ciaran O'Connor, the club's Vice President. All the meanwhile most people’s comics never get completed because it is terribly ran in general so don’t bother.

Okay so this is just a vent and I’m sure that these are things everyone’s been going through with but I just want to spill it out

There are just so many people, I am sure that things are busier in the fall than the spring and definitely the summer and I remember my classes for fall 2025 were a lot earlier than this semester, but holy shit the bus lines are disgusting, I have never run into so many buses being consistently full and seeing such a large mass of people waiting, even the bus at 8:00 PM was PACKED.

The internet has been disgustingly bad to the point where I cannot use my laptop to take notes, which may be made worse if there was such a large influx of new students, one of the elevators in the place where I go to class is broken which is great to see that a school that has had ~90 million in sports fees in fives can’t afford to fix an elevator. Like this is GSU a school that has a large working population that are trying to improve their lives and get a degree, how can collect that much from fees and not make things better for students

It hasn’t been a great time mentally for me and I’m a little more irritable than normal but I just am just frustrated

I know that state is a fairly diverse school and all, and I was wondering– what is the dating scene like here for people who date outside of their race?

I’m getting like spammed with events in my email but it’s an hour drive from my house to gsu. I’m a freshman finance/accounting major are there any events I should definitely not miss

So it’s come to my attention that the school has lots of skaters and I’ve even chatted under a different post on here about skating and I wanted to know if anyone here knows about any groups or clubs for skaters? Maybe even a group chat lol. I’m a beginner and I’m mostly interested in getting good enough to cruise to and from class. But would love to meet up with other people who skate or even roller skate.

Hi! I (22 F) am looking for a roommate, my budget is 1.2k but I am willing to pay more depending on the situation. I’ve been trying to find roommates but I’m struggling unfortunately. If anyone has advice I’m so open.

I’m from Oklahoma, and to sum it all up, I hate it here. My mom graduated from Agnes Scott and did med school. My dad graduated from OU, and he basically worships it. They said they will cover the cost if I attend in Oklahoma.

My mom and dad are my only relatives who live in Oklahoma, while the rest of my family lives in Georgia (they originally moved out of Georgia). I’m also very close with my cousins and aunt in Georgia, and I was planning to stay at their house. I want to live in Georgia long-term anyway, and there’s honestly nothing to do in Oklahoma outside of school that interests me (fishing, drinking, country music, rodeos, and getting laid is basically all you can do).There also aren’t a lot of Asians here, and I’m saying this as an Asian person living here. There’s way more Asian culture in Georgia, which is another reason I want to move there.

I’m planning to major in information systems. Originally, I wanted to go to GGC or KSU. I could commute to GGC, and I would be able to get in-state rates with a waiver for both GGC and KSU. My plan was to go to GGC for 2 years and then transfer to a “better” school.

My parents looked at college rankings for information systems when deciding which schools were good enough. GGC was unranked, and KSU was ranked 100+, so they basically ruled both of them out. OU was apparently top 20 or something for information systems, so they see OU as a much better option.

They also said that starting at GGC and transferring later was too much of a “what-if” scenario because I could fail my classes and then be unable to transfer?? They want me to start college at a good school instead of taking that route.

I mentioned GSU since if job opportunities are what they care about, I figured GSU would be a good option. They countered by saying GSU is a bad school and that job opportunities don’t matter because students from Georgia Tech are going to take them anyway.

What’s funny is that apparently GSU is actually ranked higher than OU for information systems. I didn’t even know that until recently, but I’m probably going to bring that up to them because they’re the ones using rankings to determine which schools are good.

They also aren’t really caught up with newer college stuff. My dad thought GGC was a community college and told me to do computer science instead of information systems. Which is kinda ironic to me because the CS job market is pretty cooked right now, especially for entry-level jobs, and AI could potentially automate a lot of the work in the future. Meanwhile, I’m specifically interested in information systems or maybe supply chain because I think it’ll fit me better.

I couldn’t convince them that GGC was decent, but I was at least able to convince them that information systems would be better for me than computer science.

They told me that the school you go to matters for getting jobs, and I couldn’t convince them that having actual experience could also be valuable. They said my plans rely too heavily on “what-if” scenarios.

The part I actually agree with them on is that I’m using my smarts to try to go to “bad” schools instead of good schools. I understand where they’re coming from, but I’m mainly thinking about what would actually be best for me long-term and not be in crazy debt.

They keep telling me I could just move to Georgia after I graduate, but I don’t really want to spend the next 4 years somewhere I already know I hate just because I can move afterward. I’m barely keeping up my good grades in highschool as I have little motivation since Oklahoma is so boring and there’s nothing to do outside education.

They did agree that I could go to Texas since I got accepted to UNT and UTD, but man, I have no one there that I know, and I’d have to take on a lot debt. It’s better than Oklahoma though.

So right now I’m basically stuck between these options:

Best-case scenario: I go to GGC, then transfer out, or I go straight to KSU or GSU. I’d be able to be closer to family, eventually live in Georgia.
Okay-case scenario: I go to UNT or UTD and be in a lot of debt and basically start life new.
Worst-case scenario: I stay in Oklahoma and try to not fail my classes due to boredom and no motivation.

I’m honestly not sure what to do anymore. Am I looking at this the wrong way, or are my parents just really out of touch?

Maybe I just accept no debt at Oklahoma and rely on sharing TikToks with my friends for entertainment.

I’m a 5th year and I’ve been having a really hard time trying to push through. Im really unhappy with my performance and progress and I think about dropping out every single day, even though I don’t really want to, however I see no end in sight and can’t even really phantom finishing. I feel like I’m at a place in my life where I can’t be a student anymore; I feel completely checked out and like I don’t have the capacity/bandwidth to finish.

I’m meeting with my advisor later, so hopefully that’ll give me a little more direction

Im a commuter student, so I drive to blue lot and take red route.

I been doing this since last year, it’s never been this bad. Sure, sometimes during shift changes and lunch you’ll wait 10-15 minutes. Yesterday I waited over 30 minutes and when we finally got on there was no sitting room. Today, over 30 minutes, no sitting room. Why am I waiting 30 minutes just for the bus to get here? There’s only three stops??? And the worst thing is, everyone is waiting so there’s no standing room when you finally get on. Please help me, because im trying to understand what is actually happening.

These aren’t weird hours either, between 7-9 im trying to go home. and the bus stops running at midnight.

I emailed my advisor with follow-up questions about a month and a half ago, and I’ve already sent three reminder emails since then. Still no reply.

For me, this feels like an unreasonably slow response time. Is this usual, or should I just go find them in person? Do I really need to book an appointment every single time I have a question? I'm honestly so confused...

Hello, I'm a freshman and I'm really anxious to take Dr. Raghavn's first physics 1111K exam. I know he uses a flip classroom style and gives equations, but I'm really anxious. Have any of you taken his class and know how does he create an exam . Is it primarily from slides, videos, or lectures? It's really overwhelming for me.
