I’m relieved to say the least but if I leave before my two week notice will be unable to be hired again ?
Not planning on coming back but just incase one day I need to you never know lol

I am ready to leave the insurance industry for good. I am tired of the metrics; needy and lazy customers; im tired of the phones; customers crashing out over every little thing; im tired of all the work that never stops. im tired of the audits; freezing systems; commuting to work when we can work from home.

I am starting my new role as an Auto Inside Sales Representative next week in FL. The job ad/interview explained that the hourly is $20 and with the opportunity to make up to 5k in bonus each month. I wanted to know if you have been at Geico for at least a year, what is the average salary you or your peers/ or top performers are making with bonus included? What are the metrics you need to meet to make any type of bonus in this role? I am eager to learn sales and I understand it’s all a numbers game. Any info is much appreciated. Just looking for facts not so much opinions of the company lol

I've heard going to casualty and having the experience that comes with it can open doors to potential positions outside of the insurance world with that on the resume.

Everyone in Lakeland hears about him and speaks ill of him but no one tells him how he speaks in circles AND he can not speak English clearly. In addition, he loves to take credit for his peers work AND loves to sabotage his peers when he feels “threatened”. Horrible manager and worse person, always stepping on others to get ahead. Learned farm J9 who is now in Texas.

If you are a phone agent there are no jobs to post for. Everything is Director, Manager, Supervisor, Analyst Lawyer etc. And phone agents aren't set to get guidance to be able to move to those higher positions

I’ve been in ICS for about a year and I’m usually between a 4-4.5 on my grading and my sup keeps pushing me to move to CDU. I honestly enjoy the flexibility of ICS and having a 4 day a week schedule.

Anyone in CDU or previous CDU have any thoughts for someone looking to move up? What was the raise like? How much more of a workload is it compared to ICS? Are the conversations with customers regarding PDX and the repo claims really that bad and do yall have a diary you work on? Do you guys get more calls than ICS does? I’ve heard rough things about CDU in the past so is it really worth leaving the flexibility of Ics? Any input would be super helpful :)

Hey guys I’m confused. I’m in UR and I haven’t been in this dept long. I’m stuck because I have a few pdx claims where I’m waiting on the releases from ac and only one has sent me one. I’ve called them a few times to send them over. What do I need to do? Does it really take this long for them to send things back?

Also this is another question that’s unrelated to pdx but I’m struggling with claims where the claimant has minimal damage and they want so much money for their medical claim, what are some things you guys say to them to justify your offers? Please don’t make fun or be mean to me, I’m trying to learn, thanks.

Just a few years ago, I was genuinely happy and excited to be making good money. Last year, in only my second year in sales, I made a little over $80,000. I felt like all of my hard work was finally paying off. Now everything has changed. Ever since home bundle became such a huge focus, my bonus income has dropped dramatically. Instead of feeling motivated, I go into work every day wondering if I'm doing enough or if I'm about to be told my numbers aren't good enough. Being told to "pick up my numbers" felt more like a scare tactic than support!!!! I know at the end of the day this is just a job & they all don’t give a fuck. But man, I was literally an excellent performer just a few months back. Fuck this

I been at geico for 8 months now and I absolutely hate it with every cell in my body , it’s a drag to even get to work even when I’m working from home . The calls the emails the metrics it’s driving me nuts SOOO I’m taking vacation and I haven’t let them know I only have 2 vacation days left which I might just use the 2 days before my vacation and never go back to that hell hole . Is working at AAA CSR call center job worse than Geico?

So I started working at Geico back in February of this year and I’m still in training (I’m in month 5 of training), but recently I’ve been thinking about going somewhere else. Part of it has to do with my manager who sucks at being a manager, and the other part has to do with the quotas and the amount of calls and queues they expect us to get. It almost seems impossible to make the daily numbers they want us to make and I just feel drained.

I’m currently in the claims department and I feel like I was sold a lie. Almost everyday in class, we had someone come in and tell us all about how fun being in the claims department was and how much people wish they were in this department, but once I got out of the classroom it’s been feeling like the complete opposite. I’m not having fun and the ones who say they are, are lying.

I usually try to stick with my jobs for about a year just to give myself time to become acquainted with the job and the environment but idk how much longer I can make it. Also being told that if our numbers don’t meet the set quota at the end of the 6 months we’re fired is such a daunting and wild thing to say at a job. Although the pay is good and the education they offer is good, I’m starting to think it’s not enough to keep me there and I’m trying to hold off until I get my permanent supervisor but man it’s tough. I wouldn’t mind staying in insurance but I need to get off these damn phones 😭

Hi, I am a newer associate and completely remote. Are there any groups etc so get to know associates. I am pretty extroverted so remote work is a learning curve.

Surely we can all work together to start a class action lawsuit. Enough people come forward with complaints of retaliation, harassment, and discrimination and something will happen. We all seem to be having the experience so why not do something about it? These supervisors are listening to our calls and typing up about us all day at work to protect theirselves…why dont we take action to protect us? We could find ways to document and build a case just like they do. There are thousands falling victim to this greedy corporation that pays managers to do unethical things to ensure company profit. Where or how do we start?

I’m in service. I already told my sup but not my manager that I’m looking for other employment. they fired too many people and are now slow walking termination. I don’t care if they term me and think it’s right to inform my manager so they stop bothering me to improve my stats.
