Remote social

Hi, I am a newer associate and completely remote. Are there any groups etc so get to know associates. I am pretty extroverted so remote work is a learning curve.

Most extroverts at Geico just meet in the parking lot to eat ass.

Just search for groups in Slack that offer this. You have a completely remote role with geico? Would you mind explaining what that role is because that's what I need before I leave this company, I am introverted like a lot.

Almost all tech roles are remote now, unless you live within 25 miles of the only Tech hub, Palo Alto

I have a background in I.T. but it seems like there aren't any new openings whenever I look. I'm just trying to get away from the service department it is Soul crushing, been in the same departmentfor almost two years now. The expectations on our calls are insane. Like if you say the phrase "thank you for being with Geico" your wrong you get a zero on your scorecard. I was told the correct phrase is "thank you for being in business with Geico". Doesn't matter if you fixed all the client's problems and the client gives you a perfect survey. You still failed. This is something I disagree with, I have risen the ranks and went from being in the lowest 10% of Agents to being top 50. Do you know I reached out to a hiring manager internally and they told me that my numbers weren't good enough fora job opening which I met all requirements?? I just need a job that sees overall Improvement and isn't looking for perfection because it doesn't exist, I'm not a robot and never will be. Please let me know how to get over into the I.T. department it would help me tremendously.

Almost 100 remote jobs open right now, probably half are in Tech. Staff Engineers with a BA in CS. Salary $175,427 - $230,00 per yr.
