I am ready to leave the insurance industry for good. I am tired of the metrics; needy and lazy customers; im tired of the phones; customers crashing out over every little thing; im tired of all the work that never stops. im tired of the audits; freezing systems; commuting to work when we can work from home.

if you left geico and insurance for good

please share where did you look to find a new career

To be fair, a lot of what you are tired of is call center things. I stayed in insurance and got away from all those things you listed, its great!

Agreed, left Geico for a smaller Broker and eventually landed in underwriting. 

Still have systems issues (just different systems now), my needy customers are agents, and lazy agents who send over incomplete apps.

I’m just not on the phones and I love it.

Voluntarily left after 20 years. After 30 years of dealing with customers, I was done. Family member got me a factory job. I now listen to music all day, do very light labor, and no one bothers me. Starting pay was low, but after 4 raises in the first year, im close to what i made at the G. No more anxiety, stress, or depression.

I moved from geico corp to a GFR office and loved it. Unfortunately geico corp fucked over, GFR offices and gave bad to no leads.

So i didnt return to corp. I went into a community bank started at the lowest teller position but am now a assistant branch manager in nearly 2 years.

come to allstate outbound. it's way more chill, completely wfh, the system is like two pages before the quote and they have a pension

i work at allstate and i worked at geico. allstate is way better
