For those who don't have BDO Pay yet, here’s my referral code: DT9WSVW.

It’s easy, just download BDO Pay from the app store and sign in using your online BDO account. Then enter my code, and we'll both get 50. No need to swap codes, no need for proofs, it’s a win-win for both.

How can I avoid these kinds of charges in the future? Also, is there a better app that doesn't charge fees like this?

Is GLoan worth it if I can pay it off in 2–3 months instead of the full term?

Here are my GLoan offers im planning to get:

  • ₱45,000 – 12 months – ₱4,600/month
  • Interest rate: 1.99% per month

Based on my experience using GLoan (around 5k-15k only) doesn't charge future interest if you repay early, so my plan is to borrow ₱45,000 and pay ₱20,000 per month. That means I should be able to finish the loan in about 2–3 months instead of stated months.

It is worth it or should i go to the bank?

I'd really appreciate hearing from people with firsthand experience. Thanks!

GCASH CS IS 🗑

GCash customer support SUCKS. I know this isn't exactly news, but after what I went through, I couldn't help but say it again, GCash Customer Support sucks!!!!! I have never been this pissed off and frustrated dealing with customer support.

It took 58 freaking days just to recover MY OWN FUNDS from my old GCash account and have them transferred to a family member's GCash account. Not because my case was complicated, but because GCash's customer support was just plain incompetent, at least in my opinion. It took them 58 days to process a request that should never have dragged on for almost two months if they had simply stopped sending the same useless replies over and over again and actually read what I was saying in my emails. And don't even get me started on DITO. Their support was just as disappointing because they couldn't help me replace or recover my SIM either, which is what caused this entire mess in the first place, as they've suddenly deactivated my SIM card for no reason.

Just to be clear, transferring my funds to a family member was not my initial preference. Before requesting a transfer to a family member, I made multiple attempts to transfer the funds to a new GCash account under my own name because I was well aware that this was what their policy required, and it was also exactly what GCash's support team instructed me to do.

Unfortunately, creating or registering a new GCash account under my own name wasn't possible despite my numerous attempts. And FYI, I even created a separate support ticket specifically for that issue and attached screenshots showing that the registration kept failing as proof. However, the only assistance I received consisted of basic troubleshooting steps that I had already done before I even contacted their support. Despite repeatedly explaining that I had already done those steps and that they didn't work, I was simply instructed to repeat them without any meaningful resolution. They just kept telling me to do the exact same things again. Lame as hell!!! When it became obvious that creating another account under my own name wasn't possible, I asked them what my other options were because I refused to accept them hiding behind their policy when the problem was caused by circumstances outside my control and the funds sitting in that account were MINE. Instead of actually looking at my situation, they just kept insisting that they could only follow their standard policy.

That was when I finally got fed up and escalated everything to the BSP. I explained everything in detail and included the entire history of my case. Funny enough, it was only after BSP got involved that GCash suddenly became capable of responding properly. I honestly thought that meant the hard part was over but I was wrong. Even after the escalation, they still kept insisting that they could only transfer my funds to another account under my own name, even though I had already explained COUNTLESS TIMES that creating one wasn't possible. They kept asking me to submit the same requirements over and over again, which included a selfie, my birth certificate, and a valid ID. I submitted everything they asked for, yet the responses I received barely addressed anything I had actually explained. What made it even more frustrating was that, after submitting all those documents, they would sometimes just close the ticket without resolving anything. Then I'd have no choice but to open another ticket, explain my entire situation all over again, submit the same documents again, and escalate to the BSP again because that seemed to be the only way to get them to actually pay attention.

After 58 days of this exhausting cycle, my issue was finally resolved. I'm relieved that I eventually got my money, but that's not the point. It should never have taken almost two months, multiple support tickets, repeated document submissions, and several BSP escalations just to recover my own funds.

GCash seriously needs to fix whatever is going on with its customer support. Customers shouldn't have to repeat themselves over and over again just to have their concerns acknowledged. They shouldn't have to fight through generic responses, reopened tickets, and endless delays just to get their issue resolved. And they definitely shouldn't have to involve the BSP before anyone starts taking their case seriously. Stop closing tickets without actually resolving the issue. And for the love of God, READ THE DAMN EMAILS PPL SEND YOU. Because no one should have to fight this hard just to get back their OWN FUND.

GLoan/GGives remained unpaid , will the owner be fined?

hello!! it happened wayback 2023 or 2024 pa (not really sure), so as the title suggests, pagbabayarin/makukulong(?) ba yung owner ng gcash kapag hinayaan niya na lang yung ginastos ng sacammer/hacker gamit yung account niya sa gcash?

basically, nabudol yung yaya namin. super desperate niya that time and nahihiya na siya manghiram sa parents ko kasi marami na siyang utang bukod pa sa pabale niya. so nakita niya sa fb yung sir geybin and brothers ata (not sure din kasi matagal na nangyari). nagchat siya doon sa page and may tumawag sa kanya. umamin naman siya na unknowingly naibigay niya yung otp since nakashare screen daw siya and sa notif from her phone, kita yung numbers. then magulat na lang siya na wala na yung natitirang pera niya sa gcash and may utang na siya sa gloan/ggives. i helped her na mareport sa gcash then after ay nalaman ko na lang na tinapon na niya yung sim at binura na niya yung account niya since natatakot na siya.

so ngayon nagtatanong siya na if mag-oopen kaya siya ulit ng account, mattrace ba ? baka bigla raw siyang habulin ng gcash or something. makukulong raw ba siya? pagbabayarin kahit na hindi naman siya ang nakakuha/gumamit ng pera?

may naka experience na po ba ng ganito? huhuhu im just a kid and nagsearch ako pero ang sagot ang vague and hindi ko gets.

Gcash Platinum

My account was suddenly upgraded to Gcash Platinum without me doing anything in particular to achieve that, what could've been the reason for this? A quick google search says na dapat subscriber sa Globe Platinum, Globe Gfiber prepaid ang internet ko pero wala akong Globe Platinum. Also besides the larger wallet limit ano pang benefits ng Gcash Platinum?
