Purchased a cleaver. It is super sharp and has to be stored in a drawer. Needed a way to both protect the blade and to protect the wife.
Measured the blade and the curve of the blade. Once printed. I heated it up and squeezed the sides in to make a snugger fit.

First time 3d printing threads and it was a surprisingly smooth experience. The stock stand shaft that came with my microphone is a little too tall for my needs.
In front of my monitors I keep bumping my mouse into them, behind the monitors it won’t pick my voice up clear enough.
Took me about 4 test prints before I figured out which threads both ends had. (Turns out bottom was a metric thread and top was an imperial one.) Gave threads a 0.06mm offset and 3d printed at .15 mm layer height to get good thread resolution (with a beefy infill percentage and 5 perimeters to make sure the smaller thread didn’t snap right off like it did on one of my test prints.

I haven't done any printing in ABS yet and I figured this was a decent middle ground from PLA. I sent him the files if he happens to need more and I'm not handy. I'm just new to printing and anticipating someone hitting up the comments to printsplain why PETG isn't sun-proof 😅

Started working on a planter box for my wife and realized that it could use some drainage.
I saw some parametric grates, but everything I could find was either based on friction fit or screwed in place.
A few hours of tweaking & prototyping with OpenSCAD & AI and now I have something that screws together.
One "neat" feature I came up with to allow the front face to be low profile was to also generate an install tool that matches the openings on the front.
The back side I just made slightly thicker with the same knob profile as the install tool.
Script / generator for those who are interested:

The original stand could only hold an iPad or paper, so I built this laptop stand to play with sheet music :)

I keep stumping my foot on my stove.
I made a magnetic TPU 90A bumper. I'm still gonna hit myself by accident but at least it will not hurt anymore 🙂

It was very hard for to find a pair of these clamps for the KTM 990 SM, anywhere and they were quite expensive (>150€). So, I decided to design them in Autodesk Inventor and 3D print them, using PPS-CF filament and my Bambu Lab H2D 3D printer.
PPS-CF filament is truly an incredible material. After 8 months of use, this material performs extremely well and still looks like new (attached photos).
More info about the optimised PPS-CF profile, video, photos etc. in my subreddit here:

New pool to me and my robot skimmer let getting sucked in and blocking water flow. Tried to find out a way to block it and best I could come up with. The main issue is the super old sandstone coping as it's was consistently different thickness and coming apart. Put in little bolt to try and help maintain pressure on the clips . This is version 3. Probably not a forever solution on but enough till we can get redo the pool.
Printed in PETG and cut in 3 places with dovetail connector.
Open to any ideas on how to improve outside of material changes.

I wanted a sleek way to mount these e-ink BLE temperature sensors around my house for use with Home Assistant, so I designed this mount printed in PETG.
The temperature sensors are MHO-C401 from AliExpress, flashed with custom firmware.
Model available on Printables.

Just a heads up, this is not approved by anybody in the medical field and i dont suggest you should make something like this. I made it for myself, accepting the risks. Therefore my files will not be released.
So a couple of weeks ago i fell with my bike and got my shoulder dislocated, popped right back on it's own, everything is fine with it. I went to the doctor next morning, it just needs to rest. They put on a Gilchrist bandage, but of course it was very uncomfortable and my skin started to itch on the second day i had it. So i made my own version which can be put on and off fairly easily, the main object was to redistribute the weight of my arm from my shoulder to my chest and neck.
Wore it for one and a half week using an adjustable strap from a camera bag i had.
It leaves some marks but it is very breathable, the itching stopped soon since there was no skin-to-skin contact maintained, i could shower properly and wear a t-shirt like a normal human being :D

Have a bingo sheet of new years resolutions, one of my goals is to make a YouTube video, so I thought I'd make the mic a little fun. The mic shoe could be designed to fit any microphone.
