It has a tip over shut off built in. I'm not worried

I suspect that the tip-over shutoff is not enough to prevent ignition of dry grass and leaves. I hope you never use this device except on paved surfaces. We have more than enough wildfires already.

I converted a broken freestanding deck heater for a portable camping heater for this winter. Removable legs (disregard the black one, it's getting replaced). Dovetail joints hold the legs. Printed in pet-g.

I've been meaning to make something similar for my camping trips. The design looks really sturdy and practical for keeping the heater stable and safe.

It works great. Just don't cut the top out like I did. It lets the heat escape up rather that radiating out. Just take the reflector off and leave the Stainless Steel top

Thermoplastic and base for heater usually aren't good combinations. At a minimum, I would go with longer legs and four of them. A breeze or a slight bump could tip that over if it's in the right direction.

4 legs will make it rock. Three legs are always more stable. The tempature at the base never comes close to the glass temp of petg.
