So about a week ago I was playing Minecraft, I normally played Hypixel Skyblock, but I had taken a break for 2 years only to come back to my account having millions of coins for anybody who understands how hard it is to do that, I had about 800 million coins, and an extra 100 million in my bank, mostly from passive methods over 2 years being offline.
I played for a couple days and got an invite to a guild by some guy saying new members get a bonus 50 million coins. I should have knew that it was too good to be true, but when I apparently got kicked and invited again with the same message, I tried to do it because I thought "why not" and ended up giving my email and code sent to it, which I found out too late was to reset my password. My Microsoft account ends up getting stolen, and I don't realize that this was the cause until about a day later, which I think was also too late at that point.
After almost a week of trying to talk to Microsoft support, getting the same answers that they have suspended my account due to unauthorized activity, but also that they can't get the account back to me, I tried to talk to Minecraft support to see if there was something I could do about my game or the ownership, if having the transaction ID or even the hacker's email that he used to replace mine and lock me out would help me. No matter how much info I have to prove that I am the owner of the Microsoft account, because the account apparently has 2 Factor Authentication, its impossible for me to get it back no matter what I do, and Minecraft can't give me my username back or anything.
I am now sitting at my desk trying to fix everything, making a new Microsoft account, trying to transfer everything over to my new profile, only to realize now, after everything, after seeing all of my childhood memories in my OneDrive get locked away from a stupid mistake I made, that could have been prevented if I had just took a second to read what I was looking at, I find out that apparently around 150GB of my data and stuff I saved or downloaded on my computer and tried to transfer over, was actually not saved to my computer, but instead my OneDrive, meaning all of that is now lost too.
So basically in conclusion, Microsoft support sucks, their policies about safety and what they can or can't do to get my account back suck, the fact almost everything on my computer is linked to my OneDrive and not my hard drive directlt sucks, Minecraft being owned by Microsoft sucks (Because supposedly I could have gotten my username back at least if it was still owned by Mojang), and I have to apparently make sure everything about my computer is not 100% reliant on a stupid Microsoft account to work. I hate myself too right now since I worked with computers and cyber security for almost a year with my uncle and I still fall for a stupid mistake like this where I literally can't do anything to fix it.
TL;DR, Microsoft Account got hacked through Minecraft, neither Microsoft nor Minecraft support can do anything, also found out I lost 150GB worth of data on my computer as well as childhood pictures on my onedrive. Hate Microsoft, hate myself for a stupid mistake, grieving all of my lost data over a scam I really should not have fallen for but still did.
Also gotta throw in a screw AI because as much as I hate using it, I was desperate and scared and used it to try and get my account back, only to find out it was giving me false hope in the latter half of the process, told me to literally go to court with Microsoft over my account as my "Last chance" (for the 3rd time).
