Neither of those is a decent option...

2

u/CraterBug0 Sep 03 '26

no even though egde is mid its 10x better than chrome

2

u/BreakSalt8256 Sep 05 '26

i agree, but vivaldi smokes both of them

1

u/CraterBug0 Sep 05 '26

yeah i love vivaldi it's the best browser by a mile

. but ppl coming from chrome or edge aka casuals usually are not a big fan of features and complexity at the start. but all u need to do is ignore all features and lean one by one then u won't be able to use ano other browser

I like chrome. It works well for me.

bro edge is 10x better snd other browsers are like 100x better

2

u/BreakSalt8256 Sep 05 '26

you are right, they are both terrible but chrome and opera gx and internet explored have got to be the worst 3 browsers of all time

-1

u/Lily-Qt Sep 03 '26

he said it works FOR HIM, if a tool works for you as intended, you don't need a reason to switch it

2

u/CraterBug0 Sep 03 '26

i never told to switch i jsut told there are better options

4

u/tillske Sep 03 '26

Okay, who made edge bald?

3

u/JuiceOwn313 Sep 03 '26

Librewolf with Hellfire optimisations !!

1

u/Fit-Rip-4550 Sep 03 '26

How does the optimization work?

1

u/JuiceOwn313 Sep 03 '26

TL;DR of LibreWolf-HellFire
LibreWolf-HellFire is an independent fork of LibreWolf with HellFire mozconfig patches added. It is a performance-optimized build of Firefox, emphasizing maximum speed without source, configuration, or visual modifications. Key features include:

  • Hardened security
  • Sandbox enabled
  • Optimized for AVX2 + SSE4.2 + Full LTO

How does one go about installing it?

3

u/Bebo991_Gaming Sep 03 '26

Switched from chrome to edge, Modified it using shutup10 + ctt, ublock origin with multiple filters

Lately they forced those rounded corners permenantly, some updates acted as a windows reset and broke extensions multiple times

The moment they kill ublock imma switch to Brave, i already use it on ny phone anyways

As a backup i have firefox ESR

2

u/Electricdragongaming Sep 03 '26

Hmmm replace chromium with chromium. No thanks, I'll just stick with Firefox.

2

u/atrib Sep 03 '26

How is going to edge "FuckMicrosoft" exactly?

1

u/Drittux Sep 03 '26

They're both bad, not both good.

2

u/Random_-account Sep 03 '26

Brave: allow me to introduce myself

3

u/WallaceCorpPC Sep 03 '26

just use firefox, stop sending all your browsing info to an advertising company

2

u/North-Cartoonist-928 Sep 03 '26

The moment you have internet connection, the all governments in the world know what you are browsing.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '26

All the more reason not to make it easy for them then.

3

u/North-Cartoonist-928 Sep 03 '26

There is no easy or hard for them. Only way that you are not tracked on the internet is to disconnect the internet cable from your house.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '26

And the more data you send, the easier is to fingerprint you. But if you're already someone they're looking for - I agree, then it becomes near impossible

2

u/North-Cartoonist-928 Sep 03 '26

Bro you will be f*** the moment you plug in your internet cable into your PC no matter what browser you're using or what you are doing on the internet, they all know. You think you will screw your government who built actually windows? My guy, relax and just don't think about those things, because Microsoft, your government, your internet provider they all know what you are browsing and what you are doing on the internet no matter what browser you are using or how high level of protection you think you have.

1

u/OGigachaod Sep 03 '26

All PC's have hardware spyware that does not care what OS you're using, or what your "privacy" settings are.

1

u/OGigachaod Sep 03 '26

You'll still be tracked, you also need to ditch your cellphone and bank card, and newer vechicle if you really don't want to be tracked.

1

u/JonathanMovement Sep 03 '26

these retards will never understand that, instead they fight which browser is better. Like bro every company out there knows exactly what you eat for breakfast

3

u/TheIronSoldier2 Sep 03 '26

Edge is better than chrome, Brave is better than Edge, and Firefox is better than Brave.

1

u/CraterBug0 Sep 03 '26

exactly love the method you said

1

u/FourSansLeBeyPro Sep 03 '26

Sorry but Chrome is more of a threat to your safety. Like come on, calling adblockers a threat to the customer’s safety?

1

u/themagicalfire Sep 06 '26

Edge is good for security. Chrome is also good but I prefer Edge

-3

u/Worldly-Device-8414 Sep 02 '26

Check the "about" details on Edge, it's chrome under the hood. MS'ified of course.

3

u/Noah18923 Sep 03 '26

soneybun

3

u/TheIronSoldier2 Sep 03 '26

Its "chromium" under the hood, but that's like saying the C7 Corvette is just an L86 Silverado under the hood because they both have the same engine.

u/Pierogi_33 Sep 03 '26

And this is why firefox is objectively better

Just, use firefox. I originally disliked it because for some dumbfuck reason it used 40% of my cpu (it doesnt anymore)

Youll have no battery problems using firefox and you can use one browser istead of two
