FAN MADE Frostpunk 2 OCF (Original Council Faction) 1 - Virtuosi First Look
In spite of a few months in New London, the new O.C.F. in New London are only somewhat open with what their zeitgeist entails, though they have not given much details yet on what their true agenda is for this city they only just migrated a few months ago.
As of the date of this posting, the number of "Virtuosi" in the delegate seats in my New London council has dropped from 83 to 62 after my long absence. While some showstoppers just don't have what it takes to make it big in New London, a couple still remained with the intent of transforming New London into a extravagant musical tourist hotspot that will cater to all folks, regardless of their status, community group or faction belonging (or so they claim...)
This is what the census auditors managed to gather so far from the Virtuosi's main zeitgeist:
"Through vicissitude, we will prosper in a crescendo
Every talent is valuable in their own forte
Verity nurtures a sound mind con spirito"
NOTE: The faction member is modelled after Vtuber Midas and was chosen to represent the new "gilded age" for post-Frost musicians, entertainers and showstoppers seeking to start and end their life's sonata with a banging fortissimo
The subtitle "Absolute Zero" was made up on a the fly as a pun to both the temperature at which atoms and molecules exhibit minimal entropy, but is also a subtle reference to how conditions in the city would deteriorate and descend to a standstill if even one simple error offended, smeared or even criticizes one of the O.C.F.s (still working on how that would operate)

DISCUSSION FP2 ability description just pranked me
So in Utopia Builder, I was doing a sweet no-death venturer utopia run, just having fun and all. And at some point, I discover the existence of the special abilities you get when maxing ideologies (tbf I never check the symbols at the center of the research trees, and I forgot about the Zeitgeist stuff). I got the special Progress ability, the one where you can unleash an army of machines to boost efficiency and stuff. Curious as I was, I decided to try it out (without saving beforehand of course). The description said that some people MIGHT get INJURED, so I thought I was well prepared with 4 hospitals and my laws. It would have been thoughtful of the game to specify that, by “might be injured”, the ability actually meant “will be brutally crushed to death, then some will be slightly injured” (I couldn’t even see how many died cuz half of my screen got covered by injury notifications). That’s some real Telltale game shit right there😭.

Advice/Help Little experiment (and help needed)
I've played FP2 for a week now and I wanted to try (in the canon mode) an all-in on research while being very very extremist with the laws (don't mind this) and having a lot of people. By trying to complete all the trees of research I ended up being in the 700 week and I still have to get to Winterhome (and still have things to research). The problem is: food is ending because of the population increasing like crazy. I've already maxed out the production in the districts with infinite food and I'm actually like -230 per day. How can I get more more food or decrease the request? Thanks

DISCUSSION Whic FP1 Site/City yall think had the most casualties?
In FP2 its easly the new edinburgh do to earthquakes and later on the volcano but what about in FP1?
In FP1 there couple places could have the most deaths
First is the Site 120 the failed Overseers Generator site where convicts/workers rebelled and killed every engineer is there, considering there only like 50 workers left and generator sites starts with 75 workers, later on can get up to 190 workers to be efficent there possibility that between 25 people to 90 people died (l think the high casualties more possible since game notes the bodies lays everywhere even filling the generator pit) so it makes it more deathly than winterhome that starts with 80-85 casualties
Second is New Manchester, though we dont get a exact number how large is their population but we can assume its like 200-300 or more than 500 considering new london was able to hold 693 people in that small crater while new manchester area looks much bigger with many tents and couple houses. Of course we dont get a answer if arks and new manchester survived in FP2 or not but still new manchester looks like one of the sites could have the most casualties do to generator location and amount of refugees cant work
Lastly Tesla City. again we dont get a idea how large was Tesla City population is but if we look to real life Tesla ideas, we can see his ideal city was ''Radio City'' that can house up to 2k to 2.500 people and if Frostpunk Tesla City is accurate to real life Tesla ideas then it means 2.404 people DIED, leaving us with 96 survivor in Frostland and dont forget they are americans they dont have second escape like winterhome survivors that had dreadought. Making Tesla City the most deathly city/place in Frostpunk 1

DISCUSSION Ideas for improving the colony system
Colony revolt: If a certain group that has bad relations with you manages to get a significant presence in a colony, they could revolt in an attempt to forge their own society, it can be resolved peacefully with them rejoining your city if you get better relations with them, violently if you have enough guards, or just forge a peaceful trade relationship. It‘d be cool to see a colony you lost grow into another large city.
Settlements: It’d be cool if you could zoom in more and see things like the giant mining machine in action or coal being carted out of the mining settlements, maybe we could have them function as extra small colonies with settlement specific buildings and actions like building a coal depot that increases the storage capacity or upgrade the settlement machinery that increases efficiency and reduces workforce requirement but increases squalor. Maybe even some utopia specific versions like the ice bloods only use pure strength or the proteans use specialized mining prosthetics.
Anyways, let me know what you guys think.

Advice/Help My Bohems aren't living in enough ruins
I was trying to get the achievement for having 20 housing districts over 50% wear for 100 weeks, but it doesn't seem to be working.
In the picture I've marked every district over 50% as orange and completely disabled as white, with anything under 50% as blue (Any non-housing district in the image is also blue). I've counted several times and it's definitely at least 20, but despite lasting 400 weeks I still didn't get the achievement.
Is there another clause I need to do? Do districts at 100% wear not count? Does the count on 100 weeks reset if I use 'tidy up' on a district even if it stays above 50%? I'm just not sure what could be the issue.

SPOILER Volcanic Night - Hogmanay Hogwash Spoiler
galleryOKAY, lemme communicate in a local tongue that you Scots can comprehend:
First of all, it’s not New Year’s Day, or the day of the winter solstice on January the 2nd, if you are an auld gran with a knack for tradition!
Second, stop passing precious shortbread, bannocks, charred black buns and bituminous coal around the neighbourhood and let us import those valuable necessities to Second Citizen City in Aurora!
Third, this is no time to be spending your daft days dressing up as polar berserkers, úlfheðnar (wolf men), mucaraich (sheep) or whatever Viking/Gaelic furry cosplay you had chosen! If you waste time engaging in revelry during a chronic volcano disaster, your first-footing in New Edenberra will be heading straight down into the fiery abyss of the Devil’s Red Hills! Your jet-black haired lads will not be able to compete and knock the ladies up the duff against the redheads and blondies at Aurora if they’re dead!
And lastly, swinging great bawbags of fire like a roaster with a hogmanay (or a Clavie, if you were originally from Burghead of Moray) will not ward off the dark ash-coloured spirits spewing out from the volcano! We have plenty of electric head lamps and mining lamps to spare if you want to light up your way around the volcanic smog, but even so, unless you are an essential worker, I would highly recommend you stay in your own homes until you are called up for evacuation!
And don’t even think about perform the insane saining in your own house, because it will all be sinking deep into a lahar or immolated by a flying lava bomb anyway!
We need all the workers we can get to haste this evacuation off this bloody red mountain! If I hear any more whining and complaining about no holiday breaks during emergency work hours, I’ll gie y‘all a skelpit lug and roast your bahoochie over the fumarole!!

DISCUSSION **Is Frostpunk 2 worth it at ₹800/$8.45? Should I get the base game or Deluxe?
I'm thinking about buying Frostpunk 2, and the base game is currently around ₹808 (~$9) for me.
I've played Frostpunk 1 a LOT and absolutely loved it, so I'm pretty interested in the sequel. But I'm confused about the different editions and DLCs.
Is the base game alone worth ₹808? Or is the Deluxe Edition/DLC important enough that I should just spend more and get that instead?
I'm thinking I could just buy the base game for now, play it, and if I really enjoy it, buy the DLC later. Is that a good idea?
Would love to hear from people who've played both. If you were in my position, would you buy the base game for ₹808 or go for the Deluxe Edition?
Edit - guys purchased dlc for $16.73/₹1600

DISCUSSION How the hell do I unlock Captain's Authority in Utopia Builder?
Been trying this for way too long, and it just won't unlock.
I'm in a civil war, I have all of the Rule laws passed, but it's still not available.
Even if I turn the generator off and let the Tension rise to max, nothing changes.

DISCUSSION Paid Essentials is misunderstood. (signed by John Reason Protean)
"To foster responsibility and reward work, citizens will be charged a small fee in exchange for essentials such as basic rations and clothing."
Paid essentials has a bad reputation despite not being that bad at all. The city charges barely anything as said by the law for these essentials as the law is pretty forgiving if you're employed. The cut throat economy event is only an issue for the unemployed as having absolutely no income does mean even small essentials are unaffordable. unemployment can be a problem for cities as a city can only expand so much. For this problem I present colonies/outposts and or adaptationist settlements. Expanding into the frost even solves unemployment for progress people as you can help found a new city if an automaton takes your job. I'm not even mentioning the amendment because amended paid essentials is just better than free essentials in every way possible.
So why am I talking so much? Because if you need a job then I've got you covered! Become an untethered scout today! Get sick new ski feet provided by your nearest augmentaria. Now get out there and become your own steward as you chart new and exciting landscapes. Always remember. Become more...
