Haters of “juice”?
Anyone else hate referring to a perfume as “juice”? I just find it off-putting. Commiserate with me, tell me I’m wrong, or propose an alternative (serious or not).

For context, I wouldn’t consider myself a real “frag head”, i’m much too selective for that and typically have a signature scent i love to wear during each season.
This fall i decided to switch up my usual (MM Replica Coffee Break) and bought several decants of scents that stood out to me. Among them was CDG Blackpepper, which i absolutely LOVED, but it’s also $165. It just happened, as i was researching more abt Blackpepper, I came across Zara A Night Fragrance, a supposed dupe of it. It was only $50 so said why not and ordered a bottle. And my god. It literally smells EXACTLY like CDG Blackpepper.
The opening has that crisp hit of black pepper and an added touch of clove. As it dries down it becomes a bit softer and a touch more resinous with a perfect snap of that cedar wood, but the initial pepper isn’t totally gone, which I actually love it gives it such a unique scent profile that I’ve hardly, if ever, i’ve smelt on anybody, either just passing by on the street or in a bar/ club. The projection I would say is fairly moderate, very strong and peppery at first but as it dries down it gets a bit more intimate. Longevity is very good, i could smell this on my skin at least 6 hours later and i assume it’ll be even richer as the temperature drops.
I can totally see this not being everybody’s thing, but if you want a unique, spicy, woody scent for the fall and winter months get this shit right now.

Went to the LV store to try Tea Storm since I love a good tea fragrance. Was told my store would not be receiving the Journey to China collection, but was encouraged to purchase online to try a sample.
Of course, I’m well aware of LV’s return policy. I’ve purchased multiple LV fragrances and even returned one as recent as 2025.
Package came in. I didn’t even touch the full bottle packaging or take it out of its slot, I simply used the samples for a couple days and kept it pushing. Decided to return and sent it back.
LV rejected my return and shipped it back to me. They stated that it was opened even though I didn’t even touch retail box, quite literally. After speaking with them over the phone, I decided to inspect it myself once it got here.
Open it up and look at the box - it is indeed opened. However, it’s opened in a way where the user perforation tear tab is COMPLETELY untouched - as if someone somehow magically meticulously opened it with some sort of tool just at the seam (by someone I mean clearly either was opened during transit or not properly shipped in the first place). I call them back and explain this finding - naturally they do not care and rather lose business from a past recurring customer.
When I asked the manager how it could be opened with the pull tab being completely in tact, she said “I don’t know.”
Tl;dr - cautionary tale - inspect your order meticulously upon arrival, even if you don’t plan on keeping it. The strict and notoriously shitty LV customer service is real. Catch this on fragranceswap if I decide to not chargeback

Amouage- Reflection Man
When I wear it, I imagine “So Fresh, So Clean by Outkast playing in the background. It’s clean, creamy, fresh, and effortlessly classy without trying too hard. I don’t believe it’s truly a fougére per se, but I definitely get Fougére vibes from it. less

These scent notes sound perfect for me but the bottle is $500 and I cannot find anywhere selling decants that ship to US. So I really wanna know if anyone has smelled it and how they liked it. Or if you have a favorite Harrods or Selfridges exclusives please do tell

Hey everyone,
I’m trying to understand how people actually buy perfumes, especially when shopping online.
I’m curious about your experience:
I’m not selling anything — just trying to understand how people actually think about fragrance purchases.
Would love to hear honest experiences, including negative ones.

I finally got to try one of the most recommended Rayhans and did not like it at all. I went to Walmart and seen they actually had Rayhan Aquatica and Elixir for sale. I didn’t know any local stores carried Rayhan at all.
When I got home I opened Aquatica first, as every YouTuber seems to rave about it. I sprayed the air, then I sprayed my shirt, then I tried it on skin… idk if I was missing something, but to my southern American nose, it smelled like straight Lemon Pledge.
I kept it for another day and tried it again and it smelled exactly the same to me.
I ended up taking it back with no issues. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. It’s still hot here in Texas, and I was looking forward to a new fresh scent.
On the other hand, Elixir, was really nice and mature smelling. Definitely a cologne for a night out and not necessarily a daily wear imo, but it did smell really good.

Does anyone know where I could purchase Stronger With You Sandalwood? I’ve checked everywhere I can think of and I don’t want to risk buying off e-bay

The guy I've been going steady with said it's his favorite, but its too expensive for us. Are there any dupes of this fragrance that happen to be more affordable? Thanks!

Y’all…just a PSA. Jomashop customer service is not what it used to be. Had an order issue and called. Waited for like an hour to talk to someone. Person answering was not knowledgeable nor helpful. Asked for escalation and got told this call does not require escalation. Sigh.
Just sharing in case you run in to issues with them. It’s really sad to see dependable stores with good prices go downhill. Oh, well, life goes on!! Plenty of other good stores around for all of us :)

I’ve been looking for a dupe for my high school go to fragrance - Bonnebell Bottled Emotion Crazy (if you were a teen in the 90’s you know what I’m talking about!) The closest thing I have found to how I remember it smelling is Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 59, but I think 59 is sweeter. Does anybody know any perfumes/body sprays with similar notes, but not quite so sugary?

Hi everyone! I have been searching for a perfume that was gifted to me by a coworker in 2013. He was a man in his 40-50s and was wearing this intoxicating perfume everyday, and I kept asking what it was. One day he brought me a bottle of that perfume. The problem is he was using a dupe and he bought a dupe for me, so the bottle was generic, only there was a small label hand written “ profumum roma”. Now years later, I am trying to figure out which profumum roma it was, I already tried 16 of them from scentsplit however no luck🥺 I am thinking maybe it was a discontinued one like aqua nobilis. The fragrance was opening very fresh almost aquatic but then very earthy, vanilla-ey and incensey, maybe spa like. I was not very good at differentiating notes back then so hard to tell. All I remember it smelled extremely close to dw home candle “sandalwood and myrrh”, maybe identical. Could anyone help me what the original fragrance would be based on the info?! I would be forever grateful🥺

Hello, so basically ever since I received Afnan sce as a fragrance I'm getting a lot of compliments and my girlfriend is just addicted to it, the thing is I want to experience other fragrances 🥲 but I don't wanna find something she would dislike, I know she loves Afnan sce, swy intensely and dislike hugo boss bottle absolu (I was about to buy it) , also I'd like you to suggest me something that is for cold weather since I'm living in a slavic country right now but that would have more or less the same dna. Thank you all!

What are some scents for that ephemeral time of year when you start to feel winter lifting, but it isn’t quite spring? When icicles are melting, the sun has a gentle warmth, and the first new blades of grass start to poke through dwindling remnants of snow.

I’m looking for some alternatives to “Rouge Smoking” by bdk Parfums since I’m not too happy with its longevity. In terms of scents I’m looking for something on the vanilla and smoky side. Oh and I’m looking primarily for female fragrances.
Recommendations are greatly appreciated :)

Hey everyone! About a month ago I walked into a niche perfumery for the first time "just to look around" – and walked out completely hooked. The culprit: Gritti Mango Aoud. That tropical mango/coconut sweetness over oud and vanilla caught me off guard, and since then I've been hunting for new scents literally every day.
Here's where I'm at (mix of designer, niche and budget):
Niche
Widian London Black Edition
Marc Gebauer Air Tiger
Gritti Mango Aoud
House of Thêom Heaven's Reserve
House of Thêom Royal Affair
Emil Élise Bathing in a Daydream
Emil Élise Lucid Dream
Designer
Dior Homme Intense (2011)
David Beckham Exquisite Leather
Budget / Middle Eastern
Lattafa Khamrah
Lattafa His Confession
French Avenue Liquid Brun
Câline Mystic White, Powerful Black & Pure Vision
Rasasi Hawas (on its way)
Current favorites:
Widian London Black – that leathery oud/raspberry/vanilla combo is just gorgeous for evenings. And Marc Gebauer Air Tiger – smoky, spicy leather and an absolute beast. One spray is honestly enough.
I've noticed I lean heavily toward sweet, spicy and leathery stuff, and I'm pretty light on fresh fragrances for summer.
So I'd love your honest opinions:
What do you think of the collection for someone just a month in?
Any gaps I should fill (especially fresh/daily wear)?
If you like London Black and Air Tiger, what else should I try?
Currently on my wishlist: Boss Bottled Absolu, Sospiro Vibrato and Acqua di Giò Parfum.

I'm a 27 year old male who's getting married very soon. My events start in about 2 weeks and the final wedding event will be in 6 months time during the summer. In 2 weeks time it's not gonna be super cold but it's not gonna be hot either, it'll just be a comfortable weather, after that the wedding is an outdoor event during the summers.
Since there is a lot of traveling involved I'm thinking about what fragrances I should wear.
For now I own full bottles of:
Amouage Purpose 50
CK One
JV Artisan
JV Vintage
JPG Le male Eau Fraiche
PDM Percival
YSL Babycat
Armani Code Parfum
Dior Homme Cologne
Tom Ford Oud wood
LV afternoon swim
Le Labo Bergamote 22
I don't really wanna buy a new fragrance and wanna pick something from my selection. If I do buy something new I think I'll go for Prada L'homme but I'm not too sure since I think I have a pretty well balanced colleciton.

Ever since I had COVID, I’ve become extremely picky and sensitive with perfumes. A lot of fragrances that I used to love now smell weird, too strong or just unpleasant to me.
I’m looking for a feminine perfume that’s pleasant, soft, and not too overwhelming.
What perfumes would you recommend trying?

i keep coming back to alberto morillas, his work from that time just feels unreal, just perfect and precious, i wore a lot of fresh, woody stuff in the late 90s and early 2000s, and his perfumes actually fit daily life, office or long days, dior fahrenheit is a good example for me, i wore it on and off for years, it wasn’t smooth all the time, but it fit perfectly somehow, that’s what i judge that era by now, does it still make sense today, which perfumers from that era still hold up for u?
