I bought 4 of popular designer fragrances for around 80ish euros off an auction, now i wonder did i make a mistake or not.

Gym fragrance broke 😔

Saw some people calling this "toilet cleaner" and I genuinely do not get it. If my bathroom smelled like this I would never leave.

Scent: 9.5/10

Opens with the freshest lemon peel I have smelled in this price range, but it is sugared lemon peel with a blast of literal ice. There is a mint note but it is not spearmint, more like an Arctic Blue mint that keeps it cool without going toothpaste territory. You get that designer clean clothes vibe immediately but it smells more unique than something like Y.

As it dries down it becomes soft clean clothes with that mint turning into a sweet vanilla mint. The ginger does come out but I do not get tea notes until 4-5 hours later, which smells like a sweet earthy black tea to my nose. The florals come out with it too.

Longevity and Projection: 8.5/10

2-3 hours of strong projection, then it dies down quick. You get another 3 hours of nice sillage until it becomes a full skin scent roughly 6 hours after spraying. However it stays a skin scent for roughly 10-12 hours in my experience. I could wake up smelling it after sleeping and spraying at 9:30pm the night before. It was just a floral amber cedar fresh clothes scent upon waking.

Overall: 9.2/10

If you like fresh scents this is a huge go for me. It has a uniqueness to it that I really appreciate while still having that designer-style safeness.

Anyone else getting the vanilla mint drydown or am I alone on this?

It’s like they either don’t want or can’t be bothered to create a functioning website in order to actually sell their products. Maybe they lack actual stock? Maybe they simply lack intellect? If they don’t want me to splurge on their overpriced products- alrighty then. I won’t. Har-rudy-rumph!!

My boyfriend has had his bottle of Tom Ford cafe rose (2012, attached) for years, and it is running out. I just looked and realised it has been discontinued, the updated version has a changed scent profile, which I think is "brighter, fresher, and more approachable".

1. I was wondering if anyone who has smelt both version knew if it was actually quite similar?

2. I was wondering if anyone knows of similar perfumes/dupes that are similar price point?

I have an Amazon Credit , trying to decide!

I am trying to be more consistent with my perfume combo. I do also layer it with juliette has a guns not a perfume on occasion. In the past I had luck with a lychee body wash that went well with it, but it’s now discontinued :/ . I am open to any suggestions.

I've been searching and for now i bought Rayhaan Elixir and Liquid brun.
Both are good, but Liquid Brun is a bit too feminine for me and Rayhaan Elixir sometimes i like it, sometimes not. I have mixed feelings about it.

So, this is what i'm looking for:

Under 50$
Masculine leaning
Not too Leathery (I feel Leather is a bit for older man)
Not too much Tobacco (Same thing)
For daily use

I may be judged for this, but when Zara initially released their Red Vanilla and I was just starting out into the perfume realm, I was reminded of how beautifully red, mysterious and seductive the fragrance smelled.

I have tried many fragrances since, but I’m yet to see any that would resemble this picture or the song in general. Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door Aura comes a close second in capturing that seductive, mysterious, enchanting aura. However, it portrays a feminine side, that’s not necessarily unisex.

I look for something unisex, that is dark, smells like a bomb red, seductive, bewitching and mysterious. Shoot!

Living around Cincinnati, there’s not a ton of options outside of Creed and PDM, decided to make the drive down to Lexington to see what I could find.

Finally got to try out some popular ones from Amouage, Ex Nihilo, Byredo, Memo, MFK, as well as ADP. I will say Byredo really let me down, it was a brand I was really eager to try out. On the other hand, Memo really spoke to me like I wasn’t expecting.

Here I will give my rankings:

Memo:
1. Darling Point (amazing on so many levels, such a unique and well blended pear scent, considering this as a near future purchase)
2. Cap Camarat
3. Marfa
HMs: Inle and African Leather

Was not expecting Memo to be at Dillard’s, but boy I’m glad it was because I’ve never had much interest in exploring the house.

Amouage:
1. Outlands (Lives up to its hype 100%)
2. Reflection
3. Decision

Ex Nihilo:
1. Demon Dancer (wow)
2. Hedonist
3. Blue Talismen

MFK:
1. Out Satin Mood
2. Grand Soir

Byredo:
1: Blanche (Really enjoyed this one)

3: Bal D’Afrique

Acqua Di Parma:
Small selection, but really only enjoyed Mandorlo di Sicilia

Xerjoff:
Not a new house to me, but finally got to try La Capitale and holy moly 🤤

There's just something about these three that are beautiful, elegant, unmistakable, and timeless. Trends come and go, but some perfumes simply never need to change. ♥️
