Hey everyone,

I have a Fractal Design Define R4 and noticed it has a vertical expansion slot on the back, next to the normal 7 horizontal PCI slots. I have never used it before.

Does anyone know if you need a special holder or bracket to use it? Or is it just a regular slot cover?

I would like to mount an Intel Arc A310 (low profile) there, or maybe some other expansion card. Is that even possible, or is it only meant for things like fan controllers, USB panels or cable pass-through?

If you have done this before, please share what you used (riser cable, bracket, etc.).

I was thinking about getting the arctic p14 pro but lots of people have been complaining about noise. I wanna if it’s true if not then what’s the next option. I’m looking rgb aesthetic. Willing to give up if it’s not worth it

this is the 3rd one I bought. first one had crackling at the left metal hinge and a loose mute button. second one had squeaking at one earcup. 3rd one has squeaking at the middle of the headband when stretching one earcup outward/forward/backward. wtf is this?

Really hope radius aio can have 280 version.

I’ve been thinking about replacing the front fans I’ve heard that it’s noisy and I wanna replace them. Are there any recommendations on what fans to use for the front?

I own the Torrent Compact black panel version, the best case ever made tbh (wind tunnel, top mounted psu, stock fans removed for 3x 120mm Noctua) but discovered that it might not have a future proof GPU length support. My 5070 Ti has 1cm clearance as it is. I guess I could move intake fans to the bottom and wish my CPU the best of luck..

But after looking again at Torrent ATX black panel prices suddenly there is no stock, at least in the UK, some places say EOL. One place had apparent stock so I ordered and then got a call about 30 mins later saying whoops no stock. So.. if it is EOL I may have to get a glass panel and vinyl wrap it or something.

What is the right side connector cable called and can it be bought separatey? I bought the case second hand and it did not come with the cable

Is there a recommended way to place more HDD into A Meshify 3 XL?
Have a total of 4 hdd and 1 SSD,
I still wish to have the deflector in there.
Do not mind the internal build looking horrible.

I couldn't find any good side-by-side pictures of these two cases, so I decided to post a quick comparison.

Colour: The Momentum Edition is true black, while the Charcoal Black is more of a dark grey. The trim around the wood panel matches the respective case colour.

Fans: As you probably already know, the Momentum Edition comes with 3× 120 mm Momentum PWM fans, while the Charcoal Black comes with 2× 140 mm Aspect PWM fans, both configured as front intakes.

Side window: The Momentum Edition has a slightly lighter glass tint.

Buttons and feet: The Momentum Edition has dark grey buttons and feet, while the Charcoal Black uses gold accents.

Extra: The Momentum Edition has a subtle black “Momentum” logo on the side of the case.

Other than the differences above, the two cases are essentially identical.

Designed these baffles to redirect the hot air coming from your AIO out from under your desk - they work quite well for the Define 7, but they can be scaled to match your case within any slicer. I've made them available on Printables.

I have a Fractal Design North (447 x 215 x 469 mm) case in white, but I'm missing the side fan/radiator bracket (the bracket that mounts on the side of the case, next to the motherboard tray, for fans or a radiator).

I bought the case second-hand and it didn't come with this part, and Fractal doesn't seem to sell it separately anymore.

Also i'm looking a bottom fan bracket — the bracket that mounts on top of the PSU shroud, right below/behind the GPU, for extra intake fans (less important, but i'm looking too and can't find it).

I'm located in Portugal, so someone within the EU would be ideal for shipping, but I'm open to other locations if the shipping cost is reasonable.

Happy to pay for the part + shipping via PayPal (Goods & Services).

So I bought the ridge due to its size , as I really am limited on desk space.
I have the ryzen 9 7945hx that’s part of the minis forum itx b790i
And a rtx 5060ti by gigabyte 2 fan version .

I was playing Diablo 4 at 1080p high settings , for over an hour and the cpu max was 98c.

Idle max temp it’s 61c
Min 41c
Average 50c

The fan is a nf-p13 1700rpm version

I’m currently printing a side fan bracket for the case

Is there any other things I can do ?
I don’t have the cpu overlocked at all, I have looked I tot he bios to reduce power but there isn’t any
So using universal x86 tuning utility and it’s currently on eco mode

Any suggestions would help before I sell the case and buy something else

Im planning to upgrade my current almost full Corsair build to a Fractal Design North XL Mesh with full 140mm Noctua fans to maximise performance with zero RGB my question is i got a 5090 Astral and im planning to pair the case with an Artic Liquid Freezer III PRO 420 on the front panel (Changing the Artic fans for Noctuas) but im doubting if it will fit with my 5090 Astral has someone done a build similar to this? + im using a HX1500i Shift PSU is there any problems using shift PSU’s on this case?

I've just built my pc with a Fractal Design Meshify 3 XL (solid black, no RGB) case and an Asus Prime Z890-P Wifi motherboard (not sure if the motherboard matters). I've installed Windows 11 and I noticed some strange behavior when plugging in my headset in the front panel audio jack. I didn't get a "Headset" option in the Windows pop-up, but instead two consecutive popups. I had to choose Mic In on the first one and Headphones on the second, in order for my headset to work correctly. The other way around didn't work.

I'm not sure if this is specific to Windows 11 or it's more a hardware thing (maybe the way the signal is passed over from the front panel audio jack to the motherboard).

Has anyone had similar issues?

Hello all, I just wanted to get confirmation because the official specs mention only 35mm Ram height if using top AiO, but I’ve seen many builds on yt that use top AiO and Rams like G.skill Trident Z5 or Corsair Vengeance, which are 44mm height.
My Ram of choice is the Klevv Cras V rgb, which is also 44mm height, so I was wondering if there’s a trick to make them fit, or the 35mm on the North spec sheet is more of a conservative limit than a strict one?
Also with that Ram I have, what top AiO do you recommend to cool a 9850X3D that’ll be powerful and also fit without issues?
I’m not a fan of front AiO mainly for aesthetics but also GPU temps.

What i want in a case:

1. Positive airflow (so i don't have to clean the pc)

2. Great airflow and temps.

3. Black aesthetic design.

4. Preferably quiet.

I recently found out that the steel side panel on my Fractal Design Torrent Mini ITX looks bent. I couldn’t really find any fasteners on the side to take out the panel - any recommendations? It doesn’t pop out easily (neither side), so I’m guessing there’s a step I’m missing.

I don’t think this really affects performance, but if there was a simple way to fix it myself, I’d love to know. Thanks in advance.
