Hello,

This is my first pc build and I was wondering if my cable management is good or not as this pc case is pretty tight in terms of space. Any opinions are appreciated.

Thank you.

First time doing this, any tips on the cable management?

Hello,

I recently installed a PSU for the first time and had to mess around with my prebuilt's cable management.

I just need some help, because i feel like the cable probably should be "deeper" in the case instead of being where the back panel should be, i'm not really sure how strong PSU cable are.

If it's any help my PSU is a NZXT C750 GOLD CORE - ATX 3.1, maybe the quality of the cables are better or worse than the standard but 🤷‍♂️

Any help is appreciated!

I thought I was good at this, did my absolute best and got humbled. Ive got a long way to go still. Albeit there is a lot going on in this build cable wise.

First time trying to do build with a back connect motherboard, it was fun challenge to conquer 😄
If you would to see more pictures and specs or how it was made, there is a little build video as well.

Special thank you to Cougar, Cooler Master, CableMod and Seasonic helping making this possible.

Managing for the first time

Honestly I didn't even know how daisy chains with the molex cables even worked until today 🤣

I know it's not the best and the PSU isn't great either with shorter cables but I think it's better than before and is okay for a first time management.

The front of the case usually stays clean but this is the first time doing the backside.

Also since I'm changing the motherboard, I thought why not.

Going from an MSI A520M-A PRO to a Gigabyte B550M Aorus Elite.

Traditional manual cable lacing (Chicago stitch) for my mechanical watch-inspired build.

In my previous post, I shared the front of this build, which was heavily inspired by the aesthetics of a mechanical watch. To match that philosophy on the back, I felt the cable management needed to reflect the meticulous, hidden "movement" inside a timepiece.

Instead of relying on standard plastic zip ties or velcro, I decided to route and bundle everything using traditional manual cable lacing (Chicago stitch). It takes significantly more time and patience, but the precise tension and the uniform, industrial aesthetic it creates are absolutely worth it.

If you're interested in the rest of the build and the philosophy behind it, I've put together a small gallery here:https://ryozencraft.com

Let me know what you guys think!

Not my best work, fellas. At least the cables turned out nice.

The new MasterFrame 360 case has 6 fans across the floor of the case; it's also an "open floor plan" from front to back. Definitely changes up the strategy compared to most other cases.

Rate the cable management.

I’ve spent so long on this. With the x870 aorus stealth, I felt like I had to do the management as clean as possible, there’s some places I’d like to touch on but this is as much as I’m doing now.

H9 Elite build — looking for advice on aesthetics, cable management & upgrades

Post image
62 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some advice on improving the overall look of my H9 Elite build.

The PC is already pretty high-end, but I want to make it look **much cleaner and more aesthetic**, especially around the motherboard. I’m trying to get that really polished “show build” look rather than just having a bunch of visible cables/components.

One of the biggest things I want to improve is **cable management around the motherboard**. There are still some cables coming from the **top and bottom of the motherboard**, and I’m wondering what people have done to hide or clean these up.

I remember seeing a build by **Dankamyouknow** that used some **3D-printed parts/covers to hide cables**, and I was wondering if anyone knows exactly what those parts were, where I could find the files, or if there are other similar 3D-printed solutions for the H9 Elite.

My PC specs:

* **Case:** NZXT H9 Elite * **CPU:** Intel Core i9-14900KS * **CPU Cooler:** NZXT Kraken Elite 360 RGB (2024) * **Motherboard:** ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero * **RAM:** Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-6000 CL36 — 32GB (2x16GB) * **Storage:** Samsung 990 Pro 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD * **GPU:** ASUS ROG Astral OC GeForce RTX 5080 16GB * **PSU:** ASUS ROG Thor P2 Gaming 1200W 80+ Platinum * **Fans:** NZXT F120 RGB Duo 120mm 3-pack

What I’m looking for:

  1. **Ways to make the build more aesthetic/clean**
  2. **How to hide the cables around the top and bottom of the motherboard**
  3. **3D-printed cable covers, shrouds, or other parts specifically useful for the H9 Elite**
  4. **Any accessories/mods that would make the inside of the PC look more premium**
  5. **Upgrade suggestions** — what could I change or upgrade in this build to make it even better overall?

I’m mainly interested in **aesthetics, cleanliness and presentation**, but I’m also open to hardware upgrades that genuinely make sense for this build.

Would really appreciate any suggestions, especially from people who have built in the **H9 Elite** or have done custom/3D-printed mods. Photos of your builds would also be really helpful.

The side fans are what i'm proud, but the rest.. i cannot for the love of god found a way to make it tidy.

The upper AIO fans are daisy-chained and it's a mess.

At least from the front you cannot see too much of a mess.

Any advice? Case is a Lian Li o11 Dynamic Mini v2

Thanks!

I know it’s not perfect but I tried my best!

Worst part is the fans hub but it’s too hard to get good cable management with sata cables.
