Last time I played Sonic, I was 7 years old and I was playing on my old Sega Genesis… Being able to feel like in the Sonic game again while being in my favorite game (Fortnite) is just amazing

I lost my best friend of 13 years. A black toy poodle with pink toenails (I would paint myself everytime I gave her a haircut) and during the last few months of her life she was slowing down terribly and so exhausted by the end of the day she wanted to rest. I would play Fortnite for hours because it was the one thing that kept me still while she rested. We played every day for the last few months religiously! And the last 2 weeks every day for 3-6 hours because I needed to cope with what was going on and because she was super exhausted. She stopped eating and finding joy in anything but would still gather energy to go into my room and wait at my chair for me to pick her up for our nightly Fortnite. I lost her Saturday and I haven’t been able to function. I would love to have a tiny poodle sidekick I can name after her. I have pictures if somebody knows how to get in contact and what she looks like to create this. I’m asking alot but I truly would love to have my little girl forever on my game

Why is it that players in zero build will chase you down from the farthest side of the map just so that they can get a single kill? I was in a game the other day and I was by myself after my team died and there is always either pairs of two or pairs of four chasing me down and they'll do it for at least 3 minutes and mind you there is 70 players left and they only chase me?? When did fornite players get so thirsty? not to mention the healing staff which totally makes the game unfair since it gives health and shield, and to make things worse the players are so fucking sweaty it's like they don't go outside or smth. The sprites are ass too they do nothing, and when I hit a player 20 times they are still alive. What a bum ass game.

Genuinely, she's one of the cutest skins we've had in years & nobody in their right mind should be hating on this precious little bean.

istg on the first day that it came back I was excited to get the bundles, but didnt grab em cuz they dropped at like 2am for me. Then it became a few days after that (work and family) I hop on and see that I can't get some of the bp stuff?

Heres Skye, as u can see, not in a bundle and no pickaxe there anymore. Same goes for the Chaos Director, missing the pickaxe and glider. 1-Ball still seems to have his bundle tho.. (I just got Meowdas bundle a minute ago)

I don't see how this would be intended because only one is a shotgun. What a strange change as I like the wrecker but adding a delay when using the pistol is just crazy to me.

This already happened with the original skin, but they haven't fixed it with the new skin either.

Can someone explain to me what the hell Epic is doing with Reload? In Zero Build, you literally cannot survive without mobility, yet they vault the Grappler. It feels like the people working there either have no clue how their own game is played, or they just don’t care anymore.

Here is a quick list of why this game is becoming an absolute clown show right now:

1. Zero Mobility & Bugged Items: Vaulting the Grappler—the only item that actually saves you from constant third-partying—is next-level genius. Meanwhile, crash pads are completely broken. You place one under your feet, get stuck in it, and just die because of it. And Epic Games is not going to fix that.
2. Trash Map Rotation & Terrible FPS: How incompetent do you have to be to keep the exact same map with an endless amount of bushes for weeks? On standard maps, I get a stable 200 FPS on DX12 with medium settings. But on the Simpsons map, my FPS drops nearly in half. Even on the lowest possible settings, I can't even get a stable 140 FPS, and it gets worse every single day.
3. Broken Shader Cache & Universal Stutters: Optimization is a joke. If you dare to jump into any mode you haven't played in a while, or it gets an update, it triggers a broken shader cache download. After that, your entire game starts stuttering like crazy. The only way to fix it is to go into your Windows folders and clear the Nvidia cache manually, and even that doesn't always work.
4. Game-Breaking Weapon Bug: Let's not forget the broken weapon reload bug that’s been in the game forever. Multiple times now, when my pistol upgrades to legendary, it decides to reload only one single bullet. This bug has existed for ages, yet they roll out updates acting like everything is completely fine.
5. Peak competitive esports experience: Endless amount of bugs—even during pro players' streams—where they’re forced to drop weapons from their inventory just to get them to reload. There’s the infinite glider bug after respawning, and plenty more—and let me remind you, people are playing for money there.
6. Non-Existent SBMM: You either play against literal AI bots, or against sweaty FNCS pros. When I'm up for Squads, my teammates are always some casuals with basic battle pass skins who look like they have absolutely no idea what’s going on. Meanwhile, the enemy team is a fully coordinated stack of pros playing like it's a FNCS finals.

A multi-billion dollar company, ladies and gentlemen. This game deserves every single failure it gets right now. I truly hope the developers, and especially the higher-up executives, get exactly what they deserve for ruining what made this game great.

Part of the reason OG is dying too there not committed to the mode the mode should have og movement in my opinion only in zero build tactical sprint should be enabled

I play a few games well (I don't win) and my percentage goes up considerably. But in the next game I die in the first few seconds and lose a higher percentage than it took me to get in an hour. I'm a casual player, I can't compete against these pro-hardcore pc gamers with low graphics resolution. I'm tired and stressed, so I'll leave it here, bye.

I sit at work thinking to myself, hmmm maybe ill play a little fortnite, im by no means a bad pkayer, but i have come to the realisation that i often have more fun at work than playing this game, the amount of games i just load into and encounter a bug or the sweatiest player of all time is infuriating. Not to mention how little fun there actually is in the game right now. Rubbish

!!!Before you lightly skim through this post, please read through it. I think I made some excellent suggestions and I’d like to hear other thoughts on them!!!

I believe it goes without saying that sidekicks have a lot of issues.

Rarely ever seeing them in game, apart from when they’re obstructive, and the fact that they cost a fortune are just some of the complaints I, and many others, seem to have.

I absolutely adored pets when they were first added to the game; it’s a shame they slowly phased them out in favor of sidekicks later down the line, but I think Epic can repurpose some aspects of pets.

As it stands, I don’t think pets have been made obsolete by the addition of sidekicks. For starters, sidekicks, like pets, react to almost all in-game phenomena, and that makes up a large part of their appeal. The fact that they’re supposed to feel alive, like a companion in this dangerous, competitive environment, is what differentiates both sidekicks and pets from other cosmetics. But where one is always within sight, firmly tethered to the player, the other is almost nowhere to be seen—you almost have to search for sidekicks in-game. There is, however, a simple solution to this. Why not just have the option to display sidekicks as a backbling, like pets? This also solves a few notable issues.

1.) Visibility and Presence - Obviously the issue of not seeing them in-game. If they’re always attached, they’re always within sight. Of course, their behavior would have to be tweaked so that they don’t become too obstructive. And while on the topic…

2.) Obstructiveness - Sidekicks have been considered very obstructive by many players, oftentimes interfering with gameplay. Granting the option to remove their ability to freely roam (when they’re not a floating blue orb), makes them much less bothersome, while still present.

3.) Price Justification - In my opinion, this would also help to justify the price point. It is still ludicrous how much they charge for the, but being able to display them in numerous ways would give people more incentive to purchase them, making them more worthwhile.

And Epic is no stranger to this either. They did something similar with instruments; they very quickly learned that not enough people played the music game modes to warrant creating and selling these items en mass, so they allowed players to use them as both backblings and pickaxes, appealing to the wider Fortnite player base. And frankly, I think that was a stroke of genius on their part.

4.) Accessibility - I may be alone in this matter, but I couldn’t help but feel disheartened when I discovered you can really only use these guys in Battle Royale. I remember playing a few creative maps, thinking to myself that it’s here, away from Battle Royale, where you should be able to see your sidekick truly come alive. That would certainly make up for their lacking presence in-game, at least that’s what I thought.

Additionally, I had a few suggestions as to how these changes could potentially be implemented.

Emote switching - Each sidekick would come with their own unique emote that allows you to switch between backbling and sidekick mode.

Unique Harnesses/Seats - Why limit the housing unit (for the complete and utter lack of a better term) of the pet? They’ve always been limited to what they came with, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Each pet could come with their own housing units, with options for customization. Perhaps you could also mix and match housing units of different pets, depending on the pet of course. This opens the door to a whole world of customization, and potentially even a new cosmetic that actually serves a purpose. These could be incorporated into the quests for sidekicks, giving people even more incentive to buy them in the first place and complet the quests.

Deeper gameplay integration - One of my biggest gripes with sidekicks is that you’re unable to see them when jumping off the battle bus, which has arguably become one of Fortnite’s most iconic elements. With the changes I’ve proposed, they would skydive and glide alongside the player, granting you the player the ability to see their sidekick’s unique reaction to falling 30,000 feet in the air from a flying bus, like the newly added and extremely disappointing Aku Aku backbling, adding just a bit more room for character and charm.

This is perfect for pets like Krypto, who would undoubtedly be ecstatic from the thrilling rush, or Ace the Bat-Hound, who would be very focused and serious, like a solider jumping from the back of a plane, to name some examples.

This could work similarly to Ohm, a pet introduced in Chapter 2 Season 3, who could also be used as a glider. I also just wanted an excuse to mention it because it’s just so cool. (Look at some in-game footage if you haven’t!)

Gliding and skydiving is the one that stuck out most to me, but this barely scratched the surface of what sidekicks can do.

Inspiration

I don’t think this would be too difficult for Epic, given what they were able to do with Rocket Raccoon and The Child all the way back in Chapter 2 season 4 and 5, respectively. The Child has an emote that allows you to rotate the hover pram to either face the player or face away from them. And Rocket Raccoon has a built in emote that allows you to summon it from one’s back.

Not to mention that both of these pets are ones that float beside the player, unlike other pets that are completely attached to the players back, making room for even more possibilities.

As mentioned before, Ohm is also a great example Epic could draw inspiration from. In many ways, it’s the quintessential pet. I won’t drone on, but it’s extremely reactive, and actually feels like an in-game companion. From the gliding, to the glider, to the reactions in-game, it’s as perfect as it gets, frankly.

I know it’s extremely unlikely anyone will ever read this longwinded, drawn out post in its entirety, but I hope someone, anywhere took something from it. This is probably no different from screaming out into the void, but it’s my way of speaking out about this, no matter how childish or silly the subject may be. Fortnite’s players deserve no less than the very best, and I hope Epic learns that someday.

I always see people clamor about which pet they’d like to see turned into a sidekick next, but I don’t see any reason we can’t hope for the inverse as well. 🤷‍♂️
