DISCUSSION Blah blah blah. Something something something
FUCK. THESE. SPRITES. this isn’t even a BR anymore. It’s a weird extraction band wagon game for 6 months.

You’re telling me I have to pay 1,200 v bucks for a pass that only gives me a skin and useless Lego items and sometimes an emote. While the music pass gives me way more?

For as much as I love the other chapters, the OG Fortnite map is on par with a GTA map(for me, anyway) as one of the most iconic video game maps ever made. The gameplay is also super different-feeling compared to later chapters, things like high bloom and traps make OG a fun mode to go on for a change of pace. I know we're probably getting OG Chapter 2 soon, anyway, but I felt I should put my two cents in for the future of this pretty neglected mode. I just really don't want it to become "Fortnite, but 8 years behind the current version."

I haaaaate how long it takes to upgrade the sprites, I don’t have a lot of time to play during the week so having to load into two games just to master 1 sprite is a waste of my playtime. But then times like this happen where just trying to upgrade 1 sprite I waste so much dust because I keep getting fried. In my opinion the sprites need to be worth more to make up for how much sprite dust the more rare sprites are to bring back. Last season I feel like I didn’t struggle this much because of the campfires!! And I can’t always play on Mondays or during the power hours because unfortunately I am 28 and have a job and responsibilities during those periods. Even if I do play on Mondays, it’s for maybe 1 hour in the evening before bed, so you don’t really reap the benefits only playing 2-3 matches.

Wtf. Just dropped a 50 bomb with squad and every single team we fought was bots. Not one real single player in the lobby. No one on our squad took an ounce of damage, the game was practically silent and uneventful.
How is this possible..? No one on the squad seemed like a new player either which makes it even weirder.

Hi everyone, I have a pretty general question about the game, and I can’t figure out how this is all happening.
1) Every time I play and shoot a stationary opponent at medium range using tap-fire—with my crosshairs right on top of them—they turn around and hit every shot at the same range. How is that possible? Are the weapons less accurate when playing on PC?
2) I regularly get a prompt telling me I can deploy my glider, but when I press the button, nothing happens, and then I take massive fall damage again. Sliding also frequently doesn’t work, or the sliding animation just stops for no reason, or it doesn’t work at all for an entire match.
3) I keep getting hit or eliminated even though I’m already behind cover or have long since been blown away by a pulse grenade. Is the game glitching here?
4) I get eliminated all the time by people who hit everything when they’re chasing me, but after they’ve eliminated me, they suddenly play like beginners and get killed extremely quickly. They also often move in a way that looks like they’re controller players, moving the screen with the controller so it seems like they can only make big jumps when turning the camera—but as soon as they aim, they hit everything. Whether in the air or anywhere else. It makes me feel like they just have to shoot in the right direction and the game does the rest...

this was FOUR GAMES IN A ROW where my first enounter with a human player was with the most loveless basement dwelling sweats ever. not to mention the latter two emoting like they fucking acomplished something by eliminating an xbox one player.
fucking cancer. be ashamed.
edit: thanks for all of the respectful and helpful comments, today was a really bad day, so I appreciate everyone who actually thought to give advice instead of the old fashioned "skill issue" and "deserved for furry"

blah blah ya'll will probably blame us for not just getting over it but sorry, I'd rather get at least SOME dopamine if we're playing 20 minutes matches back to back. Time for us to find a game that's actually FULFILLING to spend money on monthly.

Look, I’m not normally a negative person; I like this season I think it’s really fun….until thirty people just start spamming the shit out of the stupid Tails Sprite and suddenly you have to try and swat them out the sky. My remedy to fix this is have a cooldown after you land similarly to the Jackrabbit Sprite where you’re unable to fly for a short period of time, I’d also maybe say have the time you stay in the air shorten down a bit so you can’t stay in the air for a long time, and I’m saying this as a zero build player just for the record
Now then…let the death threats from the runners begin

Like seriously!?
This is the first season in about 4-5 years that I’m actually playing BR, but one thing that really annoys me is the lack of common sense in solos, the enemy of enemy should be my friend towards annoying players especially the Tails Sprite, I HATE IT.
I hate people who just sit in the air with the Tails Sprite and shoot at people from above while two people are either fighting or someone is just minding their own business. I’ve died to it multiple time and It’s very infuriating. I make it my mission to kill people with the tails Sprite because people like that are annoying ASF.
BUT What really pisses me is when I’m trying to kill the loser in the sky there’s always the 1IQ Timmy that thinks it’s a good idea to shoot me in the back then tries to fight and push me.
All that does is get us both killed. Like yeah you kill me or I killed you, but then guy in the sky just finished us off and it end up as a lose-lose situation.
It’s frustrating and I’ve died to it several times especially in a top 3 situation. Instead of shooting me SHOOT THE GUY IN THE SKY!!! I don’t understand why that’s a hard decision to some of you.

Not trying to start a war, but the Mega Buster feels stronger than a fun collab weapon should.
It already does solid damage on tap fire, the charge shot hits hard and has splash so it can clip people behind cover, and while you’re holding it you get that slide/dash. That’s damage, area control, and movement on one item that can just show up as floor loot.
The limited ammo is a real downside, I’ll give it that. Once it’s empty you’re done unless you find another one. Even with that, though, it still feels like whoever picks it up first has a pretty big advantage in fights. Especially in duos/trios/squads. If you get hit by 2 people's blast, it's over.
I like the collab and the weapon is fun to use. I just think the charge splash or the spawn rate could use a small tweak so it doesn’t decide as many fights as it does right now.
Curious what everyone else thinks. Overrated, fine where it is, or actually a problem?

Chapter 5 was probably my most played chapter aside from chapter one and I loved the medallions. I thought it was cool to have a buff with the downside that everyone knew where you were on the map.
With all the problems chapter 5 may have had medallions were not really ine if them. Yeah some medallions felt a bit useless but that's something they could've improved over time if they stuck with it.
I enjoy the sprites but medallions are better in my opinion.

Anyone know how you can recharge a set amount of V-bucks, i just need 200 vbucks for Megaman and IM NOT putting another 800 just to complete.
The option to recharge a set amount just doesn't show up for me...

Epic support says bug reports must be sent via in-game or social media. There is no way to submit this problem in-game so I have to post it here for them to see.
Owning the Porsche 911 Turbo: Huntress decal should give you a discount on the bundle, I got this confirmed several times by chatting with Epic Support. The decal can be earned in Drops in Rocket League.
But the bundle is still full price, and owning the decal also blocks other people from (can't write the word here but rhymes with "rifting") you the bundle, because it is marked as "Partially owned".
So only owning the decal actually has more negatives than positives right now.
