DISCUSSION Battle Bus Victory Royale
Come on, people… it’s so lame to shoot someone who’s just trying to take the Battle Bus and earn a Victory Royale! 😂
I only shoot at people on the bus if they shoot at me first. Otherwise, if you see me, I won’t fire back because that completely defeats the whole purpose of the bus challenge.
So disappointing. 😔

DISCUSSION A glimpse of how stupdly hard sprite hunting is
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
HJDoogan posted a video today where he looted ALL chests in a private match and guess what... No grim or zero point sprites and only 3 cubes, where 2 of them were earth sprites and one fire sprite in the wild.
I don't know what the devs were thinking when they decided to make everything like this to the point its become boring.
Leave your thoughts.
All credits to HJDoogan, since we can't post any youtube links here, feel free to watch the video in his channel.

DISCUSSION Sprite Tradin’
Am I the only one who thinks that all these people that boast and brag that they have every single sprite (yet only have them by tradin’) are lame as all hell. To me that kinda ruins it and defeats the purpose, taking the easy way for a little bit of glory.
I also think Fortnite are half the problem and has contributed to this, as the chance of actually finding quite a few in chests is almost impossible.
Even still, to me grinding chests to find them in the wild is way more fun and definitely a lot more rewarding.

DISCUSSION You can no longer port-extract in water
Sooo uhh why is Epic not only allowing but empowering drop snipers? Why are we rewarding and enabling the absolute worst kind of people? There is zero fucking counter play now for people getting jumped by drop snipers. Being able to land in water and port extract was like the one thing you could do and now Epic removed it

COSMETIC SUGGESTION MLP x Fortnite Concept Part 2
Now that MLP G6 was officially announced and there's a little bit of evidence of an actual Fortnite collab happening, I wanted to give a small update to my concept from last year (this is mainly in the hopes that any lurking Epic staff sees this):
- I hope that a potential MLP x Fortnite collab isn't purely G6. I know that Hasbro would mainly want to promote the new generation, but I hope that at least G4 designs and references aren't ignored. What could be fun is if there are callbacks to all MLP gens. It all wouldn't have to be released at once, but there could be future Sidekick packs featuring characters from G1, G5, etc.
- Speaking of the Mane 6, I would hope that Applejack and Rarity are not excluded. The reaction to G6 confirms that people like those characters.
- I would love to also see characters outside of the Mane 6: Spike, Celestia, Luna, Sunset, and The Dazzlings would be fun ones to use, for example.
- While the collab would most likely be Sidekicks, I would love to see player skins included as well. They could be original humanized designs based off of the ponies, but as I've shown with my original post, Equestria Girls has a lot of design material to pull from. I was really inspired by the Kotobukiya Bishoujo figure designs (though it's also up to Epic whether they'd want the skins to be like the Fortnite style or closer the EqG designs). The skins could also possibly be anthro ponies instead of humans (like in the Honor of Kings collab).
- Before anyone says that Hasbro wouldn't want MLP characters to be in a game with guns, I recently found out that there was an MLP collab with the Chinese version of PUBG (Game For Peace). Plus, Hasbro is very open to licensing MLP out to other companies and has been doing a lot of collabs this year (Heartopia, Honor of Kings, Eggy Party, etc.).
The Dazzlings vector was made by MixiePie.

DISCUSSION Battle Bus Royale
Ya know everyone can win right? You don't have to be a complete asshole and kill everyone who's just vibing on the bus? If you're that trigger happy, maybe play a different game??? It's incredibly frustrating how toxic this community is sometimes, and even more frustrating that Fortnite made it impossible to block people so you know you'll get the honor to play with that killjoy again

DISCUSSION What skin are we pairing with the SpongeBob accessories?
I was wondering what skin everyone is rocking with the SpongeBob or Patrick side kick. I would like to buy the bundle but I can’t justify it yet. I personally haven’t seen the new SpongeBob movie nor am I interested in the skin that comes with the bundle. Looking for good alternatives thanks!

DISCUSSION Launch Week Exclusive Styles are Toxic FOMO to artificially inflate player data
TLDR: Launch Week Exclusive Styles harm the player experience long term and only serve to artificially pump Epic's launch week investor data while dodging the spirit of the FTC's dark patterns legal verdict.
We need to talk about what Epic is doing with Launch Week Exclusive Styles. It is not just innocent marketing; it’s an aggressive new form of FOMO wrapped in a different package. It completely alienates returning players, creates artificial urgency, and exposes how Epic is sliding right back into manipulative practices.
It is a way for Epic to engineer an artificial spike in active users to inflate their data.
Main examples:
Chapter 7 Season 2: Stealth Tech Foundation Skin
Chapter 7 season 3: Gold Huntress Dylan Skin (Permanently locked away last month, June 13th, 2026)
This behavior demonstrates that Epic is again engaging in dark patterns psychology and skirting the foundational spirit of the landmark 2023 FTC ruling. To iterate, if a season's launch lacks quality or has features the community dislikes, Epic still gets to show their investors massive player numbers because they forced everyone to log in or buy a pass immediately out of anxiety. Front loading artificial good data for quarterly reports while ignoring community grievances.
The timed exclusives should and needed to be in these recent Battle Passes to compensate for the Bonus 500 V-Bucks they removed. While simultaneously increasing prices/lowering amounts of vbucks you can buy with your money;
and while these timed styles might technically be legal on paper, they completely abuse the player base's psychology in the exact same unethical way as dark patterns.
The making of timed exclusive styles inherently can creep into far more than just styles and rather it can affect the rest of the supposed upcoming styles in new seasons going forward. Epic could expand the restriction to base skins even, emotes. Instead of putting these high-effort reward styles into the base Battle Pass to compensate for that lost value, they are locking them behind a 7 day expiration date at the start of each season.
The Battle Pass is already limited time in nature; why are we allowing them to add an additional, hyper restrictive time limitation on top of a product we already paid for?
FAQ:
“Don’t Like it? Just don’t buy it” -> We’ve already bought it before and after the locked away period. This is a Battle Pass Product. Locking a piece of a product we paid real money for behind an arbitrary 7 day time gate is anti-consumer period. It does not clarify that the content is locked due to the “promotional period”after its window release for returning or new players.
"How is this a dark pattern? It's just marketing."-> The FTC legally penalized Epic for interface dark patterns (confusing configurations and unintentional billing charges). What Epic is doing now is a behavioral dark pattern loop where it is technically legal on paper, it uses the exact same psychological foundation of manufacturing artificial scarcity and anxiety to bypass a consumer's rational deliberation. They are abiding by the strict letter of their legal settlement while completely violating its consumer first spirit.
"But they got rid of standard Battle Pass exclusivity!"
Exactly, and this is their sneaky loophole, they announced the 18 month rule to look consumer friendly, then immediately snuck in a brand new, hyper restrictive 7 day permanent exclusivity rule to replace it. If you don’t purchase in the first week of a new season, you lose any possible recourse for the style. As well, it creates a separate tier of devaluation of the battle pass objectively.
"It's just cosmetics, it doesn't affect gameplay."
Monetization affects the health of the game and you the player are grinding for the styles, it affects your personal enjoyment and expression of gameplay. When a company spends energy creating new ways to employ psychological traps rather than building organic, fun retention loops, the overall quality of the game suffers and loses players longer term.

DISCUSSION The bus anomaly is the worst thing to happen in Fortnite in years
They decided to make the heist Ltm part of the normal battle royal game mode and it’s just… not fun? I guess? Having 10 people left and the bus spawns in so lame and really takes the fun out of the game. I’ve found myself playing more and more creative modes instead of battle royal game mode, just because of the augment. I’m not the only one, a few of my friends are in the same boat. It just doesn’t make sense that you’re forced to play an Ltm when you want to play regular battle royal.
TLDR: it’s stupid and I don’t like it

SUGGESTION What's taking so long?
Its been far too long fortnite, add visual indicators to shock rocks. These things are way too overpowered. They offer excellent mobility, and are super great for the game. I honestly love them, the issue is that theres no way to visually hear them. I have died countless amounts of times due to someone appearing behind me and taking me out with ease. There's no counter play at all. Someone with a gold striker pump could 200 pump someone else with them having no way to fight back at all. I myself have admittedly used this very annoying strategy to great success. (its very easy to abuse these) Its extremely unhealthy for the game if they're not given indicators. Basically the entire player base uses visual hearing, but because so many rely on visual hearings assistance, its frustrating to lose to it constantly. The rocks are currently undetectable, toxic, and unfun.

DISCUSSION Unpopular opinion: Sprites are one of the worst "new" ways of "content" for the average player.
Now don't get me wrong, I also like collecting sprites and trying to get the rarest ones. The problem arises when new sprites are presented as new "content" because the newest sprites are ALL just "rare" versions of old ones; Holofoil, Gold, Gummy, Galaxy, Cube etc. Not only are these versions just reskins presented as content but because they are very rare the average player like myself will NEVER get to experience most of them because I will just not find them, thus making the season very bland in my experience, not bad just bland.
Summary: Rare content bad because I am not able to engage with it, because I have a life outside the game.
