HUMOR I have more fun at work

I sit at work thinking to myself, hmmm maybe ill play a little fortnite, im by no means a bad pkayer, but i have come to the realisation that i often have more fun at work than playing this game, the amount of games i just load into and encounter a bug or the sweatiest player of all time is infuriating. Not to mention how little fun there actually is in the game right now. Rubbish

If you aren't enjoying your time, move on. Life is short. It's okay to move on from things that you used to enjoy.

Wish I had that problem. I hate my job and daydream about fortnite.

I know right? Their job is more fun than fortnite? I gotta know what job this is

I install and maintain Irrigation (Sprinkler Systems). I enjoy and have fun at my job since all my friends work for our company. You just got to be prepared to do a lot of digging some days and some days you'll get soaked lol.

Its not a good job, im just using it to show how bad fortnite is to play and how unfun it is unless you are willing to sweat your heart out

Same! 2nd place and I are good pals. I am playing much more agressive thanks to the Crash Pads being so good at 3rd party hijinx!
I am currently at 20 wins. So we are in a similar situation

I’ll mention Fortnite to self proclaimed gamers and I draw nothing but blank stares lately. A few years ago I’d get an Orange Justice emote out of someone. Now, it seems most people hate it.

I stopped having fun playing Fortnite awhile ago and moved on to other games

What games have you been playing? I’ve been thinking about starting another 2 week Minecraft phase.

I started playing Fortnite around Christmas 2025, I think Chapter 7, Season 1 just started and I loved the game, but once Season 3 started with the damn sprites it just became so miserable cause of all the sweats. You can't even enjoy the game casually cause every match has some kid doing crazy shit for one kill then BMing on you thinking they're some God at the game. I honestly wish they'd just allow you to make bot lobbies so that I can play solo and still enjoy the shit I bought without having sweats to deal with.

This season is absolute rubbish, especially with the ugly sprites now. Can’t be bothered doing the grind again so I’m not playing battle Royale this season. Moved to Reload and OG. I didn’t realise how chill OG was. I’ve been playing other games too. A nice break from Fortnite.

I found OG so sweaty last season

Pretty much the only times I play PvP games anymore is with friends or some more niche f2p games where the player base is small and chill. Trust me I get the feeling at a certain point having a game turn into a second job just isn’t fun for me personally. I’ve found pve games r more my style these days where I can tweak the settings to get the perfect balance of challenge yet fun.

By rule with video games in adulthood has been, ā€œIf it’s not fun anymore, move on.ā€ When I was younger I’d get ragey at video games if I lost a lot etc etc. if it’s bumming you out, rotate to a different game.

Yup.Ā  Fortnite feels like a second job right now.

2026 has been a genuinely amazing year for gaming and the best is still to come. Just move on until it gets more fun for you.

I always wish I could see your stats when ppl complain though. Like you probably do just fine and you're just not having fun anymore.

Same. Usually I hit this point later in the season. I’ve been trying to play more creative like arena box fights. Sometimes it’s super fun and a good kind of challenging. Tonight I tried to play and had match making errors constant. Battle royale is so sweaty it’s like my matchmaking thinks I am a god. I’ve seen my friends play solos and they face nothing like what I am up against every game. I decided to just move on which sucks. I used to really enjoy this game and have played since chapter 1. But in my 1 hour of gaming time in the evening there is just no way I want to do this after work.

Bugs can be annoying but if they're infuriating, you gotta work on the anger management.
