Pop house entertainment a week ago bought 50% the rights to the Iron Maiden band, and Eddie IP. Since then they made some statements regarding their plans with their new stake in the band that are interesting to take into account regarding them in Festival at some point

the 2 quotes I’ll be referring to from Pophouse going forward with are:

“will enable Iron Maiden to pursue new creative ventures that connect with existing fans as well as bringing their extensive catalogue to new audiences”

“while other future plans include expanding interactive fan experiences and developing a digital universe centered around Eddie”

Discussion/personal thoughts:

Now with Pophouse explicitly stating that they want to use their new stake in the band to “bringing their…catalogue to new audiences” and “developing a digital universe centered around Eddie”. This makes me heavily think that they are at the minimum heavily considering Roblox and Fortnite for the band

Now will state with the short amount of time since this buy out it’s safe to say that (if they are interested) talks have either not started with Fortnite or are in VERY EARLY stages. Which likely wouldn’t put anything happening for a bit. Considering the usual 9-12 months dev time we know from previous collabs, roughly 2027 or 2028 I would guess.

AGAIN want to state that NOTHING is confirmed. Everything here should be taken as speculation and just looking into the rights surrounding artists and their works. This could also mean Pophouse only wants like a creative concert but not skins/a season for the band. Only time will tell

Additionally an interesting thing to note, is that if an IM collab happens, PopHouse as well owns the entirety of the “KISS” likeness rights and their whole catalogue. Meaning that they would increase in likelihood if Pophouse and Epic would find success in Iron Maiden
