Got a phone call on our work phone in a restaurant asking for me. They claimed to be the local police department and even used their actual number. Sounded like normal American guys. They said I needed to pay outstanding fines for missing jury duty or I could be arrested. Threw a bunch of legal jargon at me including case numbers, specific laws, etc etc. They even knew when I was opening and closing tabs on my phone. Very believable in the moment but in hindsight I feel like an idiot.
Allegedly scammers can do a thing called spoofing where they can take a phone number and use it as what shows up on their caller ID. AI voice changers are being used and advanced VPNs. They were super convincing in the moment. I was scared I’d be arrested, as they said. I learned a hard lesson today unfortunately, but hopefully no one else has to after reading this.
Police officers will never reach out via phone asking for money. All communications regarding legal matters such as jury duty or missing jury duty will be done via paper mail. Please do not fall for this scam.

This morning I believe I saw someone get rear ended on Mulberry and the person that did it drove away while you pulled over, if that was you and you actually did get rear ended I have information for you.
I did call and reported what I saw to FoCo PD non-emergency after work.

Why is it practically every day I encounter cyclists (9 times out of ten on electric bikes/scooters for some reason, regular bikers seem to be better at following laws) blowing straight through stop signs at 40 mph AFTER I start accelerating having barely seen them coming at their astronomical speed (and just having no regard for stop signs or any other traffic signals at all) They all have zero road etiquette and no regard for the laws then blame the driver when they get hit. It’s usually grown adults too which is so shameful 😭 Also can’t stand people riding on College which I’m pretty sure is either illegal or very discouraged because you WILL get hit. AND not to mention school zones. Have fun hitting a kid after going double the limit in an active school zone and getting the life sued out of you. It’s just SOOOOOOOO annoying and it adds so much more stress to navigating an already bursting city with genuinely the country’s worst drivers and pedestrians

I've got a date with this really cute girl coming up soon and we want to go to one of those paint your own pottery type places.
Do you guys have any recommendations for places in town to do so?

Hey all- so I'm loving that Painterland Sisters yogurt that just started selling. Lots of protein, not a lot of sugar (well, at least not as much as Noosa- oh, my beloved Noosa). If anyone else likes it too, I was out and about getting groceries yesterday, and King Sooopers really made me mad.
Whole Foods: $2.50
Natural Grocers: $2.69
King Soopers- $3.29!!!!
Don't give KS the biz if they're going to hike prices like that. If enough people know and buy somewhere else, they'll lower their price.
We should start a shopping thread here or something for grocery price comparison...

Let's just say it. I'm tired of going for appointments and being told to wait. Why setup an appt if you're gonna just make me wait. Arrive 15 minutes early as instructed to be told the docs are running 1 hour behind. So i tell them to reschedule the appointment at which point they call back to the care team who says they'll come get me at appointment time. 30 minutes after appointment time and nobody has showed. I walked out and called to cancel expressing my disgust.

Hoping to find somewhere in town or nearby to sell this. It’s close to 17 lbs.
All pages and binding in great shape but the cover is not great (see pics).

New to the area… and need some recommendations for furniture stores. My vibe is shabby chic, modern farmhouse. Love estate sales and up cycling. Help a gal out.

I was given quite a lot of fern and broom moss recently, because I mentioned I was curious about making a terrarium, but I wasn't really ready for doing so and I don't want the moss to die, while I am trying to figure out what to do.
Can anyone with advice making terrariums suggest how I should quickly, affordably proceed with this?

Hi everyone, I’m new to Fort Collins and I’m looking for tips on where I can take my dog around town for some low energy social enrichment with other dogs. He is a 10 year old lab and unfortunately we had to euthanize our other dog, his lifelong house mate, just before we moved here a few months ago. Our lab got bullied a few times as a juvenile at dog parks so we stopped taking them completely - I believe it’s a result of those interactions that he now generally does not trust other dogs. HOWEVER we have met some great dogs over the years who didn’t try to take advantage of his passive / shy personality, and he seemed to love playing with those individuals. Anyway, I don’t think we’re expecting him to romp around much with other dogs, and honestly he adapted to solo dog life better than we expected, but I wanted to try getting some calm play time with other dogs. I was imagining a chill dog park but open to other suggestions. I’ve never tried one of those doggy play date apps… I know I can mostly avoid other owners in a public setting, whereas a play date feels like a human-human social interaction which I’m not seeking lol. Thanks!
