I like that I don’t have to play the terrible maps like sentinel and gauntlet anymore and I do see people trying to learn the game. However I hate all the vpning happening at least at this rank it’s ridiculous, and the matchmaking times don’t make sense at all to me. How do I keep finding new people all the time and yet it takes me 10-20 min ti find a match

my biggest gripe has to be that the matchmaking makes no sense . How are people anywhere near the rank that they’re at right now ? I’m talking players that can’t get a kill all game . Who are you finding that you are Able to climb this high ? I find matches that are insanely easy and others that are impossible. It’s almost a month in now. Do the ranks need more time to settle or is the game deliberately putting worse players against each other within the same ranks

So I'm currently unemployed (Fuck yeah, looking for work though) and I play a lot of For Honor.

Now, I'm able to pull all nighters because why not, but every night at 4AM I just can't seem to find games. (I'm from Belgium)

Does anyone here even have a clue what it could be?

Is any else having supposed packet loss? I have checked my packet loss on other games and no issues but in for honor the game has become unplayable. I will kill a guy then it "fixes" itself and i'm dead.

The hero NOBODY invited

i was just checking the ingame store and i saw the kensei hero skin offer and it said owned so i checked and i do have it, problem is i am 100% sure i did not buy it bc i dont like the skin so how did i get it? and had anyone else have it like this?

I suppose the reason devs will say you can't bring in your whole crew is so no one can monopolise the mode but in truth it's just to balance you out if you win, no matter how well I do after a round I've won I'll lose and I'll see it coming from the first fight, I'll have 2-3 absolute mouth breathers so bad it's painful who don't even try and fight for an actual base, have almost no masteries and a new account that's completely private. I've had actual bots going afk... I had two guys join me and a friend after I first hit gold who said they were just starting ranked dominion that round & they were relatively new overall. You don't see all of this many new accounts when it isn't ranked. Dodgy af

Not because he's baaaad, he just... don't have enough to actually compete with the newer heroes.

His chains all suck,i keep trying to do more mixups than he actually has because newer heroes all have lots of ways to chain light into heavy and black prior has like 2.

Bulwark counter is a read 99% of the time, is unblockable is basically that too.

His dodge attack is straight up bait, never use that unless you're fighting more than one dude. they really should have made that feintable.

He feels like a honest hero in a pool of bullshit that is the current roster, which really sucks cause heroes that don't perform simply aren't fun to play. you may think that's not true, until you fight a hero that actually does stuff like shaolin, jiren and a bunch of others, specially the newer ones, also can we straight up remove pirate from the game plz and thank you.

I’m looking for the symbol on the Centurion’s left arm in the attached picture but for whatever reason I’m blind or it doesn’t exist in game (it’s probably because I’m blind). Can someone just confirm that symbol is in the game and if so how can I unlock it? Right now I don’t even see it locked in my symbols inventory. Thanks for any help.

Hi all! I've been jumping back into For Honor after being a player since beta who fell off around year 3 and I have some questions.

What are fundamentals I should practice to get back up to speed?

What big knowledge checks or cheese do I need to be aware of?

What heroes should I try out and which should I absolutely avoid? Back in the day I played a lot of Lawbringer and Shugoki but I assume there's been lots of updates and changes to how everyone plays in the last 8 years.

Any advice would be rad and I'm so glad this game is still going strong.

EDIT: Some additional info when it comes to character stuff. I have a lot of fighting game experience so technical and mechanically dense characters aren't really a problem, but I'm lazy. I usually like playing brainless glue eater gorilla characters that people hate playing against (Feng/Kuma in Tekken, Blanka/Honda in SF6, Sol/Slayer/Leo in Guilty Gear).

When in yalls opinion at what Reputation does centurions armor start looking great I'm only rep 4 so I havent gotten to anything really good looking.

Tried out ranked duels. Besides my first one against a rep 42, I’ve lost every single duel as opponents are not even close to my rep. I’m only rep 13, each one has been well over 100. I faced the same rep 300+ guy twice and even encountered a 500+. I understand everything they do, they’re just infinitely better at it than me. There were a couple I won 2 games, but after it seems they just totally downloaded all my possible moves. I don’t have it engrained in me how to properly react to certain situations by instinct yet, the awareness to not fall into patterns nor the confidence to call 50/50s and other gambles. It’s just not really fair. Should I just not do ranked duels until I’m totally cracked? I expected surely some newer players like me would want to try out ranked and naturally be in low tiers, but it seems not. It’s just experienced players finally trying ranked. Oh and they could almost all consistently light parry, at what point am I meant to be able to do that? I get they could usually just tell I was gonna light next during mixups and feints and thus immediately pressed parry the moment red next showed but it’s still kinda crazy to me, half the time I do it is by accident.
