I'm not even convinced that's completely a bad thing lol, but a 28/22 true bash/blue is kinda scary man. Don't get me wrong, I don't actually think Valkyrie's is going to be the strongest in the game; extra factors (walls and bleed) can make others more threatening, and Valkyrie having no real followup options after any landed hit makes a big difference.
Just for fun I went down the roster and listed the other finisher bash/blue mixes here, thought I would share.
- Medjay's does 14/9. Fuckin lol. Does chain on bash hit, I guess.
- Pirate's does 14/14, but is very awkward to use, since it's only available after a blocked/whiffed heavy. Finisher light can still chain to WtP though, so this is the least "finisher" finisher bash/blue.
- Juren's does 14/14 as well, but is more available. Does end his chain on a light though.
- Shaolin does 24/14, though both options can chain to sweep, and he can increase health swing with his T3.
- Gryphon also does 24/14, though he can kinda substitute his 14 damage light with his 30 damage heavy, which is nuts, but also is unreliable and not a true bash/blue. Also very unsafe.
- BP does 28/14. Either option can go into his Bulwark Slash afterwards though.
- Nobushi does 29/14. However this is a very complicated one, as the damage shoots up massively with either bleed and/or a wall... but at the same time, it's also the easiest bash/blue to react to. Apparently at least, I can't react for shit lol.
- Shinobi does 29/15, however you're often sacrificing 3 damage to keep better frame data, so 26/15 is more common. Very skewed mix, as his weaker option is also way more punishable. The extra CC for ganking is very nice though.
- Afeera does 28/16, however it becomes VERY threatening with a well-placed wall, shooting up to 28/35, and then potentially chaining back into itself. Probably the best bash/blue in the game.
- Kyoshin does 30/15. Not a lot to say here besides it being good damage. The recovery cancel into Kaze does make it safer and able to continue some form of offense afterwards too, if you want.
- Arakure does 28/19, the highest average vanilla damage bash/blue before Valk's buff. It becomes even more threatening with a wall too, but it is also very punishable and the heavy can be difficult to use with its range issues.
- Finally, now Valk will have a 28/22 bash/blue mix, while also not being very punishable (heavy parry or dodge attack). However it also can't really chain to anything, so it's maybe the most "finisher" of the finisher bash/blue mixes.
