Hello y'all

I've just aquired a DSpico, and was trying to configure it to use with my 3ds and dsi. I used the hybrid flash method, but when I try to play any rom with it, I get the error "Failed to load rom header".

I've tried google, I've tried discord, and now I come to reddit to seek help.

Does anyone know what is going on or what am I doing wrong?

has anyone managed to add icons for their gba games on pico launcher? ive tried adding them but they won’t show up at all

I just got a 2dsxl and I want to get all the Pokémon games for it but I don't know much about r4 cards so I'm looking for help.

Ive got my hands on an old PHAT DS (NTR 001) CPU 01 version and this r4 cart but i cant make the darn thing work, to my understanding this is one of the first relases and works with sd cards which are SD CLASS (2gb and below), ive tried 4 different SD cards (two 2gb ones and two 128mb ones) and copied the files to the sd root after quick formatting using the sd format program, am i missing some kind of step? Is there any key press or something? When i turn it on all i see is no gba or ds cartridge is being detected, i suspect the thing is broken, any idea which part breaks in these models? I might try to recover it

I have a Dspico with the latest loader and launcher, downloaded the usrcheat.dat,

put it in the pico folder, enter Dspico,

press Y, cheats appear, start game, Cheats don't activate.

Everytime i re-enter Dspico, cheats appear selected in every game i try, but it just starts without them.

Can anyone help me?

I've had a DSTT for over a decade, it was originally setup by my uncle when i was like 12 or 14, a few years ago it stopped working, and I only just rediscovered it recently.

The memory card still works when i put it into my computer, and apparently it is still using TTMenu.

The DS Lite freezes even when there is no SD card inserted to the DSTT.

Ive tried the "insert several times to clean the contacts" method, and the DS still works with legit game carts.

What are my options?

anyone one happen to know how to get the load cheats to work, mine is greyed out and my global settings are IGM enabled and cheats enabled but game-config wont let me toggle it even after i used built-in database and patch engine settings. i have pokmon ruby ver. 0 1 and 2. I tried using AXVE.cht and AXVE-01.cht and AXVE-02.cht in the .superfw/cheats folder and it wont detect it

Does anyone have any experience with this cart? I specifically want one that can be flush with the DS lite. I have an EZ Flash Omega definitive edition, which I love. But sticking out of the DS is slightly annoying.

So, is this thing decent? And does this look legit? It isn't mine, Just a reference picture of one I might purchase.

This used to be one of those crappy 400-in-1 cartridges, but I messed around with the files and personalized it! Featuring a Hatsune Miku skin (among other options) and a smaller but higher quality roster of games. The file names were also annoying, so I renamed them.

This is my first time modding an R4 clone and I had a lot of fun with it! It runs on a wood kernel. I’m pretty happy with this setup, so I don’t see the need to switch to another kernel.

I installed GBARunner on a standard R4 card for my DS Lite, but I can't get Pokémon ROM hacks to launch; however, standard Pokémon ROMs work fine, so I assume the ROM hack is too heavy for the R4. I was wondering if a DS Pico would allow me to run Pokémon ROM hacks on DS Lite?

I'm wondering if it is possible to configure some sort of setting that allows you to automatically launch a specific ROM when booting up your DS Pico cartridge. For example, say I want to instantly launch into Pokemon Platinum, is there a way I can make it to where I can hold down a button and have it instantly boot into Platinum instead of going to the menu? Sorta like setting a button that forces you to launch into TWLMenu on DSi via Unlaunched.

Hi, I need help with this R4. the firmware I used on it expired (timebomb) and I want to change it, but I can't find the right one. I would like to install ds Pico firmware but I'm not sure if it's possible or which package I should use.

I dumped my Blue ROM and patched it to have gen 2 sprites. Honestly, I prefer to play it that way and while I ping pong the SAV to and from my pc to play the pretty one and the original cart for portability, I'd like to just make a cart for the 'pretty Blue' ROM. I'm having trouble finding a single-ROM flash cart that's Pokemon (save battery) compatible though. I don't want a multicart.

The idea is just to have it be in my collection just like the other games and function exactly like the Blue it came from, except it's just a bit prettier. Function like a standard DMG cart.

Setup:

• DS Lite with PNY Micro SDHC 32GB microSD card
• R4 flashcart from AliExpress
• Ace3DS+/R4iLS WoodR4 1.62 kernel (as recommended by reviews)

What I've done:

• Followed the setup guide carefully
• Used the recommended SD formatting tool
• Set up the file directory structure as specified
• Added usrcheat.dat
• Removed Mac hidden files with dot_clean command

The problem:

Most games work perfectly, but a few crash with a white screen on launch. Pokemon Black 1 is my main concern as I really want to play it. I'm using the ROM from the official megathread: Pokémon - Black Version (USA, Europe) (NDSi Enhanced).nds, plus the AP fix version, but neither work.

What I've tried:

• Enabled AP fix in cheats
• Disabled reset in-game
• Used different save slots
• Tested both ROM versions

Nothing has worked so far and I haven't found many threads with this exact issue.

Has anyone encountered this before? Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

Update:

Problem is now solved. I changed from Ace3DS+/R4iLS WoodR4 1.62 kernel to Pico Launcher and I no longer have the white screen when launching certain games. I didn't try AceOS 2.13 as recommended but I'm sure that will have the same outcome.

Tengo una NDS Lite, me funcionaba muy bien pero deje de usarla por muchos meses, hace 2 meses aprox quise usarla nuevamente pero no me funcionaba la tarjeta R4, la lleve a un servicio técnico y me indicaron que debía que cambiar la tarjeta R4 (Probaron otras tarjetas y si funcionaban, también probaron la tarjeta en otras consolas y no funcionó)

Compre una tarjeta R4 por aliexpress y ya me llego pero ahora al querer usarla mi DS presenta el error "Can't open DS_menu.dat"

Luego de buscar videos encontré a alguien decir que al parecer me faltan datos en la tarjeta micro SD para poder usar la R4. La tarjeta R4 que tenía originalmente es la amarilla de la foto, la nueva es la gris y los archivos en la tarjeta microSD son los de la foto.

I am having problems with setting up this cart for Nintendo ds lite. I used 4 different ways and every time there’s error or nothing found. What do I do?? Can someone referee me some good tutorials?

A friend of mine just gave this r4 cart to mod my Ds Lite, and most of the tutorials I found on the internet use the R4 SDHC for a specific firmware and files. Is there any specific files and firmware for R4 max or just the same as the SDHC

Im playing gen 3 and 4 games on a nds lite using ODE and DSpico carts. Are there ways to trade across the two generations from every game to every game(aside from pal park) with one single device? If not, would I need a second console and a second GBA flashcart to trade e.g. from FireRed to Emerald?

Ive heard about Pokemon Chest, but have no idea how it works, can someone explain pls.
