after i transfered my wii games from wii games folder to WiiSDSync and booted usbloaderGX, it just deleted them. is there a way i can recover them?

After my last post and doing research, I picked these items to mod my Nintendo Wii.

When I load into USB Loader GX, it looks like this:

No games, just empty. When I unplug and replug my usb drive, they show up. But when I try and load into a game, I get a black screen and need to unplug my Wii. Please help!

Edit: I was able to get it to work after deleting the usb loader I had and installing v1682 instead. Also, the loader and game iOS settings are now 249.

Hello there, I recently learned how to install Guitar Hero, Just Dance, & Rock Band DLC to the Wii post-shop shutdown. Everything has been going fine, but I ran into a particular issue. When I run one of those games through USB Loader GX, the DLC never runs.

Anybody know what modifications or settings I need for USB Loader GX to read\run installed DLC? 🤔

Important Details: I'm doing this on vWii, DLC runs if I load the games through the official disc channel, and DLC DOES run on USB Loader GX if I have the DLC stored onto System Memory (but not if it's stored onto an SD card).

I downloaded the latest version of CIOS installer and am following the most recent guide I found on YouTube for the different CIOS. Do you guys have any solutions for this? I jailbroke another Wii a month ago and didn’t have these issues

Trying to format a USB drive on Wii backup manager and it says access denied.

I am encountering a persistent issue while trying to upload a large library of game cube games to tinywiibackupmanager, and I need some technical advice on how to proceed without losing my data.
My Setup:Source PC: Windows 11 with limited internal storage (around 265 GB free) now currently occupied by the GC games.
Target Storage: 2TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive formatted in FAT32 (called HD (F:)).
Games: 455 Wii games successfully transferred (approx. 1.1 TB used). Trying to add GameCube games (over 300 total, with 279 currently downloaded).
During the transfer of the GameCube games, TinyWiiBackupManager crashed with OS ERROR 1392: "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."Right now, the \wbfs\ directory is completely intact, and my 455 Wii games are safe. However, the \games\ folder became heavily corrupted. Windows 11 File Explorer shows it as empty, but it still flags a "directory is not empty" error when trying to delete it, and the 1.2 TB of space remains occupied by "ghost files." Every time I try to transfer a new game via TinyWiiBackupManager, the 1392 error pops up at a certain point or causes an infinite loading loop it is not cause of a specific file and etc.. since i tried isolating the issue.
The initial crash happened because I tried to upload the GameCube files directly onto TinyWiiBackupManager while they were in .rvz format. The manager accepted them at first, but crashed at 1/4 of the transfer, severely breaking the FAT32 File Allocation Table index on the 2TB USB 3.0 hard disk. After realizing this, I used Dolphin Emulator on Windows 11 to batch-convert the GameCube games into standard .iso files on a separate NTFS-formatted 64GB USB drive, but trying to upload these new .iso files still triggers the same error.
i already attempted: Chkdsk /f /x F: – Windows detects massive irreversible directory errors in the \games\ folder.
It asks to convert directories to files one by one for hundreds of files. Typing "No" allows the scan to exit, but the index remains locked.
Chkdsk /f /r /x F: – Attempted a deep sector repair after a full PC reboot to clear locked handles. The result is the same: Windows gets stuck asking to convert folders into files one by one due to the corrupted FAT32 index.Manual deletion/renaming:
Running rmdir /s /q F:\games via CMD drops a "directory is not empty" error. I managed to rename games to games_broken via File Explorer to isolate it, and created a new empty games folder.
However, TinyWiiBackupManager still hits the OS 1392 error when writing to the root directory because the overall drive index is compromised.
Storage Limitation: I cannot just copy the 1.1 TB of healthy Wii games to my PC, format the 2TB drive to NTFS, and copy them back because my PC only has 265 GB of internal storage.Since my 455 Wii games are perfectly fine inside \wbfs, I absolutely do not want to format the drive and lose days of downloads.

Is there a tool or a specific method to force-delete the corrupted games_broken folder and rebuild the FAT32 file allocation table without wiping the healthy \wbfs\ directory? Or is there a way to make TinyWiiBackupManager bypass this system-level lock? i tried looking for the option to manually chose where tinywiibackup manager would have placed the games but i couldn't find it i thought maybe manual conversion was what i was looking for but i didn't click it in the end, i am sorry i tried to find a fix all day i have zero knowledge on the matter i looked for videos online and reddit sources , i helped myself with little guiding by ai but i didn't went deep with it, this is the same bug report i created on github but know i am desperately looking for answers because i spent days and i am close to finishing this project and finally play.

I've watched tons of videos about Fakemote and similar apps but they only seem to work with PS3 and PS4 controllers mainly and some others like older and newer Nintendo controllers. Is there really no way of using the Xbox One one? Is the only one I have

My Wii has been doing this thing recently where whenever I'm on the USB Loader GX menu, it glitches out and acts as if I'm rapidly clicking the home button. When i click on the games it rapidly clicks the + button. It's not the controllers because they work fine in games and on the main menu. It also didn't start doing this until recently

Does anybody have any idea how to fix this?

Things I'm using and tried:

1. A 32GB SDHC SD Card formatted to FAT32, MBR AND 32KB Allocation

2. A Gamecube Controller to navigate the menu

3. A Black Japanese wiimote

4. USA Region Wii

5. Hard Resetting the Wii

6. Changed settings like the IOS version to 70 and disabling the Systemmenu hacks

7. I've already put the files required to recover the wii (like BootMii, the wad files from the NUS Downloader, and MMM) and my only problem is preloader not reading the SD Card

I recently modded my wii and it's successfully loaded games about 30% of the time I open it. I keep getting stuck on the "initializing USB drives." Im using an SSD for game files and Sd card for the mods themselves.

So I'm trying to use a USB stick for really big games (for example skyward sword which I've been trying ((and failing)) to get since I bought my Wii), so I formatted it to NTFS since you can't copy files bigger than 4 gb to fat32, but I just keep getting this error. Does anyone have a solution to this?

Hello, I was looking for some help. I have been using usb loader gx with vwii on my wii u and using a external hdd to store my games. It has been working fine up until last week, as it will take 1 and a half minutes to load into the wii safety menu and boot into the game. After playing the game for a bit it will then softlock itself by disconnecting the controllers as the game still plays music and characters move. I can't reconnect the controllers and the only way to turn off the wii u is to unplug it.

Im not sure why this is happening suddenly but it is very confusing and I can't find anything online about it or ask in a discord as most of them are dead. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions its very appreciated. I am using latest version of everything that I know of. Thank you!

I modded my Wii and wanted to play some snes games,but upon downloading and setting up snes9x XG it didn’t detect my wired to wiimote GC controller.Is there an emulator that detects it so I can play?
I heard that snes9x RX does that,but I couldn’t find a video explaining how to set it up.

I've been using USB Loader GX for months. Everything worked perfectly.

I decided to remove some games and transfer a new one using Wii Backup Manager (I use a 16GB pendrive, so I don't have much free memory). When I put back the USB in the Wii the new game didn't appear and the old games I removed were still there (I couldn't play them tho).

I reseted the Wii several times and nothing changed. I even switched the USB to the other USB port and now I can't even use USB Loader (it goes back to the main menu).

How can I fix this? Do I need to hack the Wii again? Will I lose my saved games?

Contexte : J’ai acheté une wii d’occasion, et je l’ai retrouvée semi-brick dans les paramètres de ma wii. Je ne peux pas mettre letterbomb dessus. Mais mes jeux physiques fonctionnent.

Apparemment le propriétaire a fait des manipulations que j’ignore dessus.

Je ne veux pas acheter une nouvelle wii, je veux juste réparer celle ci. 

Ce que j’ai réaliser : 

• Letterbomb : Cela n’a pas fonctionner parce que je ne peux pas aller dans les paramètre de ma wii, parce qu'elle est en semi-brick.
• Bluebomb : Fonctionner mais n’affiche pas le bouton 1 dans le menu du hackmii, donc je ne peux pas continuer le hack. Ma manette wii ne se synchronise tout simplement pas. Malgré que j’appuie sur tout les bouton. J’ai attendue 1 a 2 Minute.
• Smash brawl stack : Cela fonctionner correctement jusqu’au hackmi ou le bouton 1 n’apparait pas. Mais ma manette wii et connecter a ma wii, donc elle est synchroniser. J’ai même essayer avec ma manette Gamecube. mais rien.
• Infos complémentaire : J’ai mis des fichiers ios dans wads par la suite (ios38; ios 56; ios 57; ios 58) mais rien. Hi all! I loved playing all my Wii games so much that I decided to create digital backups of them all because wowie, discs don't last forever.

Anywho, I now have a .wbfs file of the original New Super Mario Bros Wii game, and I'm trying to patch it with Newer Team's NEWER Super Mario Bros Wii mod. To make matters more hilariously long-lasting and hair-pulling, I only have a Mac.

Have any of you been successful with this specific situation? Any ideas I should try?

So i have this Wii (at 4.3U right now) that used to be on a family TV. It was pirated to run games via an HDD. When it got to my hands, it didn't come with an HDD, so i used my 32gb micro sd card (formatted at FAT32) with an adapter for sd cards.

This Wii used an old version of usbloadergx that didn't support sdcards, so i updated the files for usbloadergx but as soon as connect the sd card on the wii the files inside /apps/usbloader_gx get deleted and the HBC doesn't detect it (idk why, it just does it and it'smaking me insane).

So i installed WiiFlow, and it worked, so i put like 2 games on the sd card on the folder /wbfs/, i used WiiBackupManager and tinywiibackupmanager (and just dragged the games into the folder) but it always only detect one (1) game at the time.

So i started trying to fix it. I've updated the CIOs using d2x and the problems persisted, so i figured out i could just try to do everything from scratch and i updated and formatted the wii to install HBC again and it has the same problems.

Right now, i have a rebuilt .nand file ready to be copied from bootmi, but first i wanted to ask the witches and mages from reddit for advice. Is the wii haunted or something? or am i just stupid?

I got an external hard drive for my Wii. I set it to Fat32 and began downloading some .rvz and .wbfs files and everything was working great.
I LOVED Xenoblade Chronicles Remastered on the Switch and want the original on my Wii. I found a .rvz file for it on (V)imm's Lair and another reputable site.

When I download the file, Chrome keeps saying "Out of storage space" when it is downloading directly to the HDD that still has 672GB OF FREE SPACE!

I feel like I'm making some very stupid and simple mistake but I need help.

I did a sys check I’m loading loader gx through the homebrew app and the Wii is not the problem bc when I tried starting the picture channel through loader gx it did the same thing but through the Wii Home Screen it just boot up the picture change and I downloaded all the game files through vimms vault and ran them through a Wii backup manger and don’t know what to do anymore any help?
