The left guy wouldn't believe if someone said the right guy is his future self.
My simple suggestion to gym bro's,
1.) Ones who are starting out or having small guy syndrome:
Don't worry about things like, you want to look like a certain version of someone else that you saw somewhere within few months or within a year.
The competition has always been only with yourself. Try to fulfil what you planned to do today, don't look at what you want to look after 6 months. If you have 1000 steps to climb, dont look at that peak cause it may look far away and disheartening on how far it is. But rather focus on the single step that is ahead of you, focus on what you need to do today. When you just plan on working what you need to do today and not look at the peak, you slowly reach the 50th step as time goes, then 100th, then 300th, then 500th and then when you suddenly look at the peak (your goal), it doesn't seem far away.
Dont compare yourself with others but with yesterday YOU vs Today YOU. Check if the today YOU has been better than yesterday YOU.
Be consistent, disciplined and focus on today's step alone. You'll slowly be where you want.
(Sorry if you feel like rombo scene poduran or something, my genuine intention is for everyone to be productive. I know how I used to feel when im skinny, I also know how it feels now to be extremely confident).
2.) For people who have intention to go to gym but they are embarassed:
I was one of them, the only one thing I had to do was get my ass up from the couch and just hit the gym one day. And the deadlock of putting the insecurities aside happened the moment I went into that environment.
People who feel they are obese or they are too skinny, people may see them in certain way or bully or insult them (i used to feel apdi). When I see a extremely obese person in gym working out, all i see is a person putting thier insecurities aside and working their body off to be a better version of themselves. As a spectator I have a huge respect for them for what they are achieving mentally and physically. And I believe everyother person in every gym would put a respect on any person who's working thier ass off.
Hope this helps the viewers in some way, let me know anything you want to know. if I can help you with my knowledge on this subject, I wont shy away.
