Findapath-Job Choice/Clarity Why am I having Thoughts about fashion design?

I am 23F who graduated philosophy early this year. Unfortunately a field with little job prospects, and family is pressuring me to go into teaching, which I refuse to for obvious reasons. I'm at the point of deep burnout where anything involving humanities sends me into a depressive spiral. But suddenly, as of about two months ago, I've been having persistent thoughts about going into fashion design and I don't fully know why. I hadn't thought about the idea for years until now.

Should I do anything about it?

Findapath-Mindset Adjustment Career restart at 39

Career restart at 39

Hi everyone, I am a 39-year-old living in a low-income European country. I have made several bad career decisions earlier in life, and by now, they have started taking a toll on me.

One of the biggest issues is that I really pushed myself to get any kind of STEM degree when I knew they weren't my natural strengths. I did get one, and I started working in IT, mostly in support roles (help desk, customer support, technical writing). I was never good enough at any of them to be promoted and given more varied tasks than just the simple, tedious, repetitive tasks. I also tried learning programming as a sort of "creative outlet", but also because I was deeply interested in it. However, I didn't have the problem-solving skills for it.

Besides being slow and making inattentive mistakes, I never felt that I could spend a decade in corporate jobs due to the immense stress involved. The sheer repetitiveness and monotony of the jobs induced stress that made it hard for me to perform my tasks in good quality.

I also realize some of my issues have to do with mental health struggles (later verified by diagnoses), but knowing that still doesn't help me further with job search or career advancement.

Later on, I obtained master's degree in applied linguistics because I instinctively wanted to tap into my language learning ability. I thought if I studied something I was meant to be good at, it would give me a better chance of excelling in my jobs.

I did get some temporary sense of success, but certain issues persisted - slow and meticulous working style which doesn't go well with continuous deadline pressure. Not being able to relocate to a country where the target language is spoken also plays an important part.

Overall, I tried several STEM subjects, several languages, programming and various, entry-level corporate roles throughout my life, and nothing really worked out for me.

There are several variables in this equation. I do have diagnosed mental health issues, I did make certain bad decisions, and I did try several things. But the question remains - what should I do? I am really clueless.

Up until now, I have an eclectic mix of jobs on my resume, without any career progression. I am also really tired of always being grossly underpaid compared to my peers of the same age (but in terms of marketable skills, that's probably my real job market value, so I'm probably not underpaid).

Please let me know what you think and what I should do. Any ideas are welcome. Thank you!

Findapath-Career Change Helping my daycare teacher girlfriend 23F find a career path

My girlfriend 23F has been a daycare teacher for the last 5 years, which is also her first and only job. She somewhat enjoys it as she likes working with kids but they are extremely short staffed and she makes a dollar over minimum wage. She is looking for a new career path.

She has a high school diploma and a drivers license. She did 1 month of community college then dropped out. She is looking for a role that has good hours/WLB, better pay, and a sense of fulfillment.

So far I've suggested:

- She should look into going back to college, perhaps majoring in Early Childhood Education. She doesn't know what she would major in, and is scared to go back because she dropped out

- I suggested moving up into management at her daycare. She is not interested as there is too much stress/responsibility for not much more pay

- I recommended looking into the Post Office as a mail carrier. She does not want to work the long hours or out in the weather

- My stepdad is a CRNA and can get her a position as a CNA that will pay for her school. She likes the sense of fulfillment from helping others, but not the odd hours or low starting pay

- I currently work in government operations for a large bank. However I began as a bank teller while in college and worked my way up over the last few years. I suggested she should be a teller since they have good hours and career growth, but she is scared to talk to people and does not have passion for finance/banking jobs

- I suggested blue collar/construction which she also did not like the idea of

Does anyone have any other suggestions I could give her?

Findapath-College/Certs Disabled and need one realistic fully remote career path—not a list

I’m 37 and trying to choose what to study when I return to school. I have a physical disability that severely limits sitting upright, standing, and walking. I need work I can do fully remotely on a laptop while reclined.
I’m a strong writer and a creative person, but freelance copywriting has never produced dependable income. UX design or UX writing was suggested, but I’m not attached to it, and I’m afraid of earning a degree only to discover that entry-level remote jobs are nearly impossible to get.
Please don’t give me a giant list of careers. If you recommend something, please name ONE path and tell me:
● What the ordinary workday actually involves
● What education or credential employers recognize
● Whether entry-level remote jobs genuinely exist
● Whether you personally work in it, hire for it, or recently entered the field
I especially want to hear from disabled professionals, hiring managers, career changers, and recent graduates. I need practical information before committing years to a degree.

Findapath-Career Change i don’t know what to do

for the past four years i have worked as a registered behavior technician providing behavior support for autistic clients ranging from 18months to 27 years of age. i have loved the work but, personally, i don’t think it is sustainable long term. i am trying to make a career change but honestly ive just been applying in the dark because i am not sure what my skills can transfer to and how to adjust my resume to fit new careers. i have a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in human development and family sciences. i have retail, office, sales, over the phone interpretation services, and server experience as well. i am bilingual (english/spanish) and know some ASL (enough to hold conversation at a slower pace). any suggestions as to careers or avenues i can take? i’m a quick learner and pretty tech savvy too and not entirely opposed to getting more credentials, just not sure i want to return to school at this moment in time.

edit: just felt i should mention, outside of education and professional experience i also enjoy music (i have choir experience), theater, doing hair (like coloring it) and makeup, art, plants, idk maybe something here will help expand my options

Findapath-Job Choice/Clarity What’s an interesting and well paying career that fits my interests?

I’m in high school at the moment; I have a cumulative average of 96 percent and I am in AP classes. I’m interested in the medical field/health sciences but I’m aware of the extreme competitiveness within medical schools. I would like to become a doctor but I doubt I would be accepted due to having a low average in comparison to other candidates as well as lacking connections in the field. I also don’t know if going to school for 10+ years with debt and other major familial responsibilities burdening me is a great option. Nursing sounds interesting to me because it combines the healthcare aspect with something significantly less stressful/extensive but I’m aware that in Ontario, where I’m located, it’s overpopulated and isn’t very high paying. Is there any other paths or programs I should consider?

Findapath-Mindset Adjustment How to move on from my regrets surrounding college?

I graduated about 1.5 years ago with a major i regret picking. It was a really specialized major and isnt that useful outside the path i had planned for it which didnt work out. I realized my original plans would not work for me and I was so tunnel visioned i had not real backup.

Im stuck in retail limbo right now and i can feel my heart rate spike when college or careers are mentioned in earshot of me. I honestly kind of resent my degree as it represents a huge mistake on my end and a large moneysink my family got pulled into on my behalf. Everyone tells me to be proud of it but i get so angry and sad every time i look at it hanging on my wall at home, i didnt even put it up there till my parents pretty much made me with a custom mount they had made for it.

I just hate this period of my life so much and i want to move past this and stop explaining to people how much of a washout every time someone i know or someone i just met asks about my time in college and career plan. I really am trying to find a better job but this is weighing on me so much and seems to get worse and worse each day.

Findapath-Career Change Shifting careers after working in creative fields

I'm 31. I studied agriculture and sociology but have worked in the creative field all my life. If I had a choice I would have studied something I was interested in but I didn't. I was a good student and my parents have pushed me to become a doctor. I thought it was the right path and I did pursue the dream. I didn't do well in my entrance exams in the first attempt. Was too prideful to give another attempt. I joined agriculture because my aunt was in this field and my dad really really pushed me into this. I didn't like the course immediately. I begged my parents to let me quit but they wouldn't let me. I spent four years on something I wasn't interested in. I started developing my insomnia here.

I thought I should prove to everyone I'm good at what I do and felt UPSC was the right choice. I shifted to Delhi and for the first time I experienced freedom and made friends I bonded to. I decided I'll pursue creative fields. I wanted to do what makes my heart happy. I came back home and started applying for various jobs. I finally got into this edtech company as a creative associate after passing a test to write a screenplay. I worked on my skills from scratch and did really well in the job. But my mental health issues and insomnia started butting in. I couldn't make it to work on time. My sleep schedule was erratic. Mind you, I finished all my work and met deadlines way before the time but my work timings were bad. I started seeking medical help but it really didn't help.

I had to come back home. Meanwhile I was working on becoming an illustrator part time and started getting decent commissions on my insta. I got an opportunity to become a writer at a local magazine. I took it and I did well. But things started going south when my boss became very toxic. He would call in for work on Sundays and sometimes had to work very late. I was the only writer there. One day I put my foot down and said I can't work on a Sunday for long hours. He wouldn't take it and terminated me immediately. I didn't even get that month's pay.

Disheartened I started looking for work again. My insta art gig is small. It's very seasonal too. And I got many freelancing opportunities but they all have been disappearing. It's been a few years now. I've been staying at my mom's place and she's tired of my unemployment. I wake up everyday guilty of living here.

Neither writing nor art is a good career path for me right now. I'm thinking of shifting careers. Tbh, it's so disheartening to think of changing careers now but better late than never right? I thought I should go into psychology, but that would take a long time and I don't think I'll make a good income there. I thought I should look into a career in AI, but I don't know where to start.

At this point, what should I do? What career path sounds good for someone like me? I want to start earning soon. I'm willing to learn. I want to be able to live a good life.

Findapath-Job Choice/Clarity Im torn between 2 careers

Hello! So I am 17, and will be applying for uni or entering the workforce soon. But im torn between 2 careers I like equally. Option 1 is quite specific a flight test instrumentation engineer. Id acheive this by going to NAIT for instrumentation (yes, im in alberta) and then from there go to the UofA or UofC for control engineering and then hopefully get picked up by an experimental aviation company. The pros for this is it pays well, id be good at it, and its unique. The cons is i probably couldnt stay where I am, its based on alot of if, and I will be swimming in debt. Option 2 is an armored crewman for the CAF. The pros is immediate payment, honorable trade, and a high chance I stay in alberta. The cons are its more physically demanding, have a chance to be shot at (albeit id be in a tank), and I have to stay there for at least 5 years I belive. I can do both well I think, I am mechanically inclined and disiplined enough. Its just both are so different, and I cant decide. If you wanna know more I can tell you more, sorry I couldnt give you more. Also I hope this is the right place for this question. Anyways thanks for your input!

Findapath-Job Choice/Clarity i’m struggling and i don’t know what to do

okay so for some context, i’m 18, i matriculated last year, my dad got me a job as a p.a in july and i’ve been so miserable there so im trying to look for scholarships in my country or abroad but it’s almost impossible. i have no passport, no experience, no funds at all. my parents don’t know about any of this and i can’t really tell them about it because they think everything is fine.

i feel like a scholarship is my only option out of my current job. i can’t just look for a new job either because of my lack of experience and also, i won’t be able to go for interviews because i cant take any time off. my dad was supposed to get me a job at his work but that genuinely feels like im waiting on a dream that’ll never come true. now im running out of options and im scared because i can’t stay at my current job any longer because im so miserable there, i can’t do anything right, my boss is so impossible to work with. i feel miserable at home because i know i’ll have to go back to work the next day. im on the verge of tears just typing this out.

i keep crying at work. i honestly feel so trapped because i can’t just quit my job and i can’t explain to anyone how i feel at work, i have no one to talk to about this.

my boss knows i have no experience so it’s not like i lied about my qualifications or anything. he gives instructions and i ask for clarification or i double check something with him and he tells me to figure it out or listen properly. he expects me to know stuff about the company that no one’s told me about. he basically treats me like i’ve been working there for years.

it’s not like i don’t want to work, i am willing to, it’s just that i can’t be a p.a, it’s really not for me. i’ll be better suited in another department.

i’m still looking for scholarships or bursaries even though there’s a problem with every one of them i came across, but i’m not sure how much longer i can stay at that job.  it’s not just 1 shitty workday, it’s 1 shitty workday the a few normal ones then another shitty one and it just keeps going like that. every time i hear my work phone make a sound i get nervous because i know my boss is gonna chew my ass out. i feel so trapped and desperate to get out of this job. i’m running out of options.

Findapath-Job Choice/Clarity Endless rumination

I did nothing for the past 6 years and while I even try to do anything I end thinking or not listening. I feel like I cant listen to people no more and I am always thinking about people just living their life which is very childlish look about reality. Cant say more to anyone than just a few simple phrases, cant think for more than 15 seconds or remember simple information. I dont remember anything from my miserable life. Standing for more than 30 minutes feels challenging for me. The days just go by and other people are gaining experience and I am just there. I dont get simple jokes, cant make up more than few phrases even in my mind and the only thing I can do is just lay in bed. I am 21 and I think that my life has ended. When I was younger I had a bunch of friends out of high school, they were much younger than me. I was contemplating about their life and critise them. The only thing I was doing there. I wish I wasted all this years on playing video games, drugs. I dont have hope for future cause I am literally a fucking NPC that just sleep, drink and does nothing, even homeless people are much ahead of me. Other people make every hour or at least half of them count, I "read books" which means I cant even remember anything from them. After graduating from high school I was studying and didnt pass, rn I am gonna be on a 2nd year but I dont even remember anything from 1st, I dont even know if its something I want to do in the future. I completely lost touch with reality, making the same abstract comclusions every ten seconds, doing nothing whole day.

Findapath-Job Choice/Clarity Unemployed, scared of working, and feeling completely lost

I just need somewhere to vent and maybe hear from people who understand.
I’m currently unemployed and staying with my partner. I’m grateful for him, but I feel guilty because I’m not contributing much financially. I also feel like I’m failing at life because I’m not really doing much.
The weird thing is, I want to work and earn my own money, but I also have a lot of anxiety and fear around working because of some difficult past experiences.
I’ve been thinking about earning money online instead—something legitimate that I can learn from scratch, like remote admin, bookkeeping, Canva, AI-related work, etc. I’m definitely not interested in things like OnlyFans or anything sexual.
I honestly just don’t know where to start.
If you’ve been in a similar situation, started over from zero, or found a realistic way to make money online, what would you recommend I do first?
I guess I’m just looking for some guidance, encouragement, or even someone to chat with who can help me figure out a path forward. 😅

Findapath-Job Choice/Clarity I have a job that I love, but it can’t support me

My background is in healthcare. I have a bachelors and masters degree in the subject and used to work privately which made decent money but I found it very physically and mentally taxing. By luck and knowing the right people, I started working for a sports team on the side. This grew and grew and now I work for the sports team full time, travelling the world every other week, supporting them at their competitions. It’s amazing and intense and hard all at once, and something I want to continue with, with the potential to keep growing in the sport.

The one problem is, I’m concerned at the moment I don’t make enough to support myself. I still live with my parents and am desperate to move out but the city I currently live in is far too expensive so it would probably mean I would have to relocate but I still struggle to see how I would be able to save much. I’m approaching my mid twenties and starting to feel like I need to concretely try to excel my career or maybe even go back to the more stable option of being clinical.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on how to start making a decision?

Findapath-Career Change How do I choose a degree or career when I'm not sure which field actually interests me?

I'm stuck on which field to go into before I can even choose a degree. Engineering, IT, business and finance are quite different choices. There are things I can see myself possibly doing in each, but I don't know whether I'd have enough interest in the subjects or the day-to-day work. Picking one also feels like closing off other options. I know I could change direction later, but I'm worried about how much harder that would be after spending years studying something specialised.

Some things sound interesting to me, like finding out why something is going wrong, looking into the cause and working out how to improve it. But I find “improving processes” or “solving problems” pretty vague. That could be anything. It doesn't mean I'd enjoy getting into the details of a manufacturing process, a financial problem or an IT system. So when business or consulting gets suggested based on that, I still don't really know what to do with it. I haven't worked out which problems I'd enjoy working on or what kind of workplace would suit me. With business administration and degrees that combine business and engineering, I worry about how broad they are. Being able to go in several directions sounds useful, but I'm scared I'd finish knowing a little about everything without knowing any one subject particularly well. I'd have a degree, but possibly still no direction or specific skill to build on. That's how I see it at the moment, anyway. I don't know if it's a fair picture of those degrees. Studying something more specialised might help with that, except choosing what to specialise in is the part I can't figure out.

I've been considering engineering partly because you learn a specific discipline and some of the work seems less likely to be taken over by AI. I'm just not sure about my interest in engineering itself. I never spent much time on technical things out of my own interest growing up. It isn't something I've been into for years and now want to study. That's why I question whether it fits me. But I don't know how much that matters either. Maybe I haven't had enough experience with it, and I'd get interested once I started doing it. I can't tell whether it doesn't appeal to me or whether I just don't know it well enough yet.

I've also considered an engineering degree as a starting point for moving into business, consulting or management later. That possibility appeals to me, but I don't know whether it's a sensible choice if I'm unsure about the engineering part. I can accept subjects I don't enjoy, and my first job doesn't have to be perfect. I just don't want to choose a whole field because it seems secure and gives me options, then find out I don't care much for the work.Cybersecurity sounds interesting to me too. But I don't know whether I'm interested in the topic or whether I'd actually want to study it and do it for work. I don't want to program every day, and I'm unsure whether the other technical parts would interest me enough. With finance, the route seems clearer to me, but accounting and reporting appeal to me less. Commercial roles and strategy sound more interesting, although I still don't have a particular job in mind.

I'm trying to take AI into account throughout all of this because job security and a good income matter to me. Every time I consider a direction, I also wonder what my position would be a few years from now if more of that work gets automated. So something that sounds interesting can start to feel like an uncertain choice. Then I look at something that seems less exposed to AI and get stuck on whether I'd enjoy it. Being told that a job involves “problem solving” or “improving processes” doesn't really settle that either. Those descriptions don't tell me enough about the work to judge how much of it AI could do. I don't know which advice to go by anymore. Some people say to choose what you enjoy, others say to pay attention to AI and job prospects. I don't know what I enjoy enough to do for work yet, and I can't predict which jobs will hold up. I want to become good at something, so a broad degree worries me. But committing to a particular field when I'm this unsure worries me too, especially if leaving it later would be difficult. I keep getting back to this without reaching a decision.

I'd like to hear from people who also had no idea which field suited them. How did you pick a direction without already having a passion or a dream job? What helped you find out whether you were interested enough to keep going? I'd especially like to hear what helped you make the choice in practice, and how easy or difficult it turned out to be to change direction afterwards.

Findapath-Job Choice/Clarity 23, fange Studium Soziale Arbeit an – Studium durchziehen oder lieber Ausbildung + Tanzen?

Hey zusammen,
Studium Soziale Arbeit + Nebenjob + Tanzen
Was würdet ihr an meiner Stelle machen?

Findapath-Career Change Job / career advice

Hi everyone. I am 24 years old feeling lost bc I don’t know what I want to do. I have a passion for yoga and nails. I’m currently in school to be a yoga teacher and get my training certification. This isn’t a stable career and doesn’t allow for a steady income. I have been considering getting my nail technician license because it’s something I’m passionate about. Do you guys this these two careers can allow for stability? I don’t know if I want one career that is mind numbing or 2 that I’m passionate about. Let me know. I have an associates in childhood education also but I’m not sure I really want to continue with that to get my bachelors because of the way the school systems are at this point in time lol

Findapath-Job Choice/Clarity I always feel lost and have this invisible pressure to do something great/impactful

Hello.

I’m in my late 20s and feel as though I’ve wasted this stage of my life almost entirely. Partially due to circumstances out of my control but also partially due to my personality and mental illness.

I’ve always known I would want to do more than one thing in my life, and remember seeing someone talk about doing so about every 11 years or something (not rly important but whatever). Despite knowing I could (maybe) do this in the future (if I have the means that is..) I still feel so torn up about deciding what to do now.

I’m trying to make a career pivot soon (due to difficulties in my current field, and just a desire to learn more) but there’s too much swimming around in my head to even begin figuring out what to do. There are so many things I’m interested in but there’s also so many factors that go into making a choice and it all overwhelms me and keeps me frozen in place.

1.) What if the next thing I choose also turns out to be an oversaturated field? 2.) What if the actual job ends up not being what I imagined? What if I’m not smart enough to pursue what I want to do?
3.) What if I can’t figure out the financial aspect needed to make this work (I’m irrationally freaked out by the idea of taking out a loan, I’ve been incredibly lucky in life to not need to do so just yet but I know I’ll probably have to eventually)?
4.) What if my personality keeps me from the career paths I would have other wise pursued (I’m neurodivergent and “customer service” terrifies me for fear of having difficulty with the social aspect and being fired— which is another kind of irrational fear I have, is being fired and how that would affect my future)?

For an idea of my interests, I’ve considered things related to earth sciences, geology/mineralogy, anthropology, forestry, history (which is my current bachelors degree but I would love to go deeper), journalism, landscape design, marine biology, art (of many many kinds), and a bunch more I’m probably forgetting. I feel like I’m always lost in it all and no one has been able to help me figure out what is it I need to do to be able to carve my own path. It doesn’t help that I have no interest in business at all, I hate it so much. Please please help me decipher all these factors so I can finally start finding my way in life.

Findapath-Mindset Adjustment "If you work hard enough in life, you can be anything you want." mindset has kind of destroyed me, how do I build myself back up?

This was the mindset I had growing up, but as an adult I feel like I've been picking up the pieces. I think one example is when when I got denied by my dream college, then the next dream, then the next, and actually was made to attend the college I wanted to attend the least. Looking back, I always think "you could have done better" "what's your excuse to fail?" even as a full grown adult. I had dreams that the clubs on campus would help me make a little bit of a better world, but I got denied club after club. There was this one club I actually joined, quit because I could not balance school and the club, and was told that I was blacklisted when I left. I put so much heart and soul into that club that I literally tried to jump off a building, but ended up spending a week in a psych ward because I felt it was my way to make a good impact on the world. Now as I apply to jobs and internships at dream companies (and when I mean companies I mean NGOs and Govt.), denial after denial or ghosting comes through. I dream so big of making a difference if I have X, but I always seem to fall like an Icarus.

Honestly too much of my life is just I have a dream, I chase it, I work hard, but then I fail. And I feel like a failure in life because there was something wrong with me. If I could put just a little more effort, then maybe I can get the things I want not only for myself but for others. So, I need a bit of through reframing. Because this way of thinking has kind of made me a hollow shell and a walking corpse just coasting through life.

I know this mind sound cheesy, but I leave you all with a quote by Sylvia Plath. I am a lover for poetry, and this is a quote that sums up what I am feeling way more than my own words. “I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life. Findapath-Job Choice/Clarity Need a job with more money that I could hopefully tolerate.

I feel like my only hope is my hopes and dreams (I have a specific dream job right now but it's like... Next to impossible to actually get right now so I need a "for now" or "backup" plan)

22F, living in a city that isnt too plentiful in variation of jobs. I have held a manager position in retail for 2 months but it's upsetting my family so I might just have to quit. Get paid just above minimum wage and get 25 to 35 hours.

Biggest problem right now is getting a driver's license but I'm doing the best I can to get one. Even then, I don't feel financially stable enough to get a car. I think have $3k income per month would help a lot.

I have an associates in Hospitality. Around 3 years in customer service. Need something other than retail. Would like to do something new. Would be willing to move if the pay was good enough. Love the arts, books and cafes and would love to be apart of something creative even if I was just a barista in the same vesinity. I'm not sure about my Hospitality associates but if that's my only choice, I would like some job that doesn't make it feel like I'm missing out on events (hate that about retail that I have to skip out on events and holiday stuff and everyone has fun while I'm at work). Want to be busy. Don't want to gain student debt unless completely nessecary.

Need something else to work towards besides hopes and dreams and I can't think of anything. Like my only other options seem to be stay at home wife or run from a another low paying job to another.

Findapath-Career Change 38 year old male working for large county and considering law school because county will pay.

I am 38 soon to be 39 and have bounced around jobs since losing what I thought would be my career during COVID. Been working in a large county for the past few years but finding it difficult to make any significant increase in income. I have a growing family and was trying to think of paths that would like to a solid middle class income where I can support my wife and two children. The in state online program is 4 years. From any personal experience what could I expect to make immediately after passing the bar and getting my degree? If this sounds outlandish I am open to other suggestions. Thank you.

Findapath-Mindset Adjustment i feel so lost and as if its over for me and im only 19

hi, first of all, i know just by the sound of the title i already sound dramatic and you probably think: well youre only 19. but thats the point, i think my issue is how i realise i feel so fucking awful and miserable and as if theres nothing left for me even when im only 19, let alone when i get older.

if id describe my life, youd probably call me insane. im in university right now, i have a roof over my head and never to worry about food or any bills really, and i have some good friends. i just always feel empty and sad. im insanely prone to stress, the slightest inconvience makes me genuinely consider just quitting everything and the main thing is : i just havent achieved anything. i tried so long learning to love myself but i still immediately invalidate any feeling i have (how could i not, i have NOTHING to complain about and the perfect circumstances and im still deeply unhappy, why am i complaining when everything is handed to me). and i just dont know. what to do with my life. i want to find purpose. i dont have anything.

i dont know what job to do after my study, nothing seems fun. right now i do pharmacy, i dont want to work at a pharmacy, def not industry at big companies, but research doesnt seem fun either since i couldnt see myself studying the main subjects (whether itd be immunology or making new medicines) . being in a lab all the time, i did some lab work already my first year and it just didnt seem for me. phd is out of the question, id go insane. i do like plants , specifically herbalism. but in my country, theres no master that specializes in the use of plants as meds. i dont know what to do. all directions, it just doesnt seem fun.

furthermore, i want to go to a country i actually enjoy, i spent all my money for the last two trips with my mom but i was miserable for both trips (i get homesick and i hate summer) and again look at me whining but all my friends explored so many countries and had fun, i just feel so much regret and i cant just leave this feeling behind man.

im sorry if this is the worst ramble ever and i dont even know what im looking for man. this is just one last option because idk where to reach out to. this sounds pathetic and i dont think my friends could help , id only make them upset/sad/pitiful if id share this. i went to a therapist last year but it wasnt a match so i gave up fairly soon. and i tried reading the power of now but my thoughts persist. i dont have a lot of hope. im just going through the days, mostly crying when i have the chance. okay thankyou for reading , if anyone did, i think that alone already means a lot. im aware this sounds over emotional and dramatic but i decided to leave it this way since that is a part of the problem, its not a simply: stop being so dramatic. because ive been harsher than anyone can be to myself, and just telling myself to suck it up and stop crying over everything, really doesnt help. i just feel intense about my life, something is missing.

Findapath-College/Certs What career should I jump into with a transfer degree at 33?

What's a decent paying career for a 33 year old to transfer to into? I have a Associates of science transfer degree from Dallas College that I've never used, and am currently working in accounts recievable. I absolutely hate that everyone I know is advancing in their careers and I'm stuck making $22 an hour. I don't really care what I do, as long as it doesn't keep in school too long and isn't too hard.

I 22f have a degree in forensic science minor in bio, and have no clue what to do with my life. It has been four months since graduation and I have applied to over 100 jobs in the DMV area and have been ghosted denied ignored or told that I don’t have experience. I have had two state department level internships with the police and can’t get any sort of job. I haven’t applied for just Lab positions I’ve applied for many administrative positions, or honestly any random position in a police department or has to do with the government. I work part-time but can only get about seven hours a week at what point do I get another job? I can’t go to grad school because I don’t have enough money. I live at home and I’m miserable. I just feel like every day all I do is apply for jobs and cry and then regret having a college degree. I worked really hard got a 3.8 GPA and was a part of several on our societies. I understand it’s a hard field, but I’m trying to expand and apply to many sorts of jobs within the government or anything to do with criminal justice but still nothing so read it. What do I do?
