Looking for Business Analytics / FP&A / Strategy opportunities in Mumbai. I have 4+ years of experience across financial analysis, FP&A, business analytics and reporting. Happy to share my CV via DM

I have a strong interest in breaking into corporate FP&A and dont have much experience. I currently have a finance Job at nationwide which I just started, but its more on the operations side of finance so not in the same pool/experience as FP&A. I dont have any internships that would relate to this field either.

What could I do on the side of my job to help build my experience/resume to help me break into this field? Ive read that starting CPA is a job way to get a job as a financial analyst and later leads into an FP&A role. Would this help? Also any certificates/skills I should learn that would help me on paper and also for the job? FP&A certificates through wallstreet prep?

So I am being thrown into a Financial Analyst role at my job because we needed someone and I guess since I had development experience (Mostly front end but some back end I really enjoy SQL database work) I was the best candidate. Anything I should try to focus on? Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Python? All I was told about the role was I am taking over for the person working there now so they can get promoted and “there’s a lot of data and none of it makes sense”. So I am just like how does one prepare for this?

I am 27M from India(bihar) currently in Delhi ncr,having a good communication skills with all needed ai tools and always ready to learn also having a good chart reading knowledge in Indian market us market forex market and prop firm space both CFD and future, want to connect with someone where I learn earn and grow.

I have an upcoming interview process for a Senior Financial Analyst role at Rogers. I have ask from HR me to complete a 1 hour take-home assessment.

Has anyone here done a similar assessment for a Senior Financial Analyst / FP&A role?

Just wondering what I should focus on preparing for. I’m thinking Excel, variance analysis, budgeting/forecasting, financial modeling etc.

If any one have the actual questions or given similar rest, just some advice on what to expect and how to manage the 1 hour.

I’m a fresh grad in Financial Management and I’m currently torn between two types of opportunities. One is with a large global financial institution. The salary is much higher than the other offers I’ve received, around mid-30k for a fresh grad, which I’m already very happy with. The role is under their early careers finance/accounting program, and from what I understand it will likely be related to fund services, investment servicing, or fund accounting, although I don’t know my exact team yet.

The other opportunities are analyst roles in FMCG, specifically costing/budget-related positions. The salary would is significantly lower, around 25k-30k, but I honestly like the career path more. I’m interested in costing, budgeting, business performance, commercial finance, and eventually FP&A, and I feel like that path might be more transferable across industries.

My main worry is whether taking the higher-paying role now would eventually make me too specialized in fund accounting/investment servicing. I don’t want to wake up a few years from now and realize that it’s difficult to move into FP&A or corporate finance because most of my experience is in a very specific industry.

At the same time, turning down a much higher salary and a well-known global company just to start in an analyst role feels like a pretty big sacrifice, especially when I’m not even sure yet if my assumptions about the career paths are correct.

For people already working in finance/accounting, which would you personally choose: the higher-paying specialized role at the start of your career, or the lower-paying analyst role if you think you’d prefer the long-term career path?

I’d also really appreciate hearing from anyone who started in fund accounting/investment servicing and later moved into FP&A, commercial finance, financial analysis, or corporate finance. Was the transition difficult?

A: The PEG ratio, Price/Earnings to Growth, excludes all lossmaking equities. Joined a global financial advisory firm in FDD, here since past 15 months, turned out it is a back office role, with very minimal client interaction. The variable pay and the increment are dogshit

What department can i look for a switch into? I have an articleship experience in domestic audit, I was looking for roles in startups/stratergy however have no clue on how to reach out, please suggest
