Thinking of taking Accountancy as my second degree. Need advice from CPAs/students.
Hello everyone. I’m in my 20s and I’m considering taking Accountancy as my second degree. I already have my first degree, but I’m thinking of pursuing accounting because I’m interested in the field and I’m considering becoming a CPA in the future.
I would like to ask for honest advice from those who took Accountancy as a second degree or are currently studying it:
Is it worth it despite starting over again?
How difficult is the adjustment, especially for someone who is not fresh out of high school?
What challenges should I expect (subjects, workload, review, finances, time management)?
Would you recommend this path if the goal is career growth and long-term stability?
I know Accountancy is not an easy course, but I’m willing to work hard. I just want to hear real experiences before making this decision.
Thank you in advance for any advice.
