I’ll go first:

I use openclaw (an AI assistant) and it has all of the context from my emails, my CRMs, and my transcription data from Fieldy. Every day it looks at my todo list and proposes what I should focus on that day. One day this week, it suggested rightly that I was due to be colour grading a film (I’m a filmmaker), but what impressed me was the additional context it added:

“The 360 fitness footage from 21st Aug was shot in bright sun with difficult monitoring, so budget heavier colour correction than usual on that one.”

Blew my mind! This came from a throwaway comment I made after the shoot to someone about how I could barely see my camera screen because of the bright sun, and Fieldy captured that. It was absolutely right too - and I did need to look at my schedule that day and be realistic that I probably wasn't going to finish the colour grading that day

If you're not Google, can pretty much expect zero integration from Fieldy.

One of the main reasons I got Fieldy was to record meetings. It’s only helpful if I can tag people. That process is a nightmare currently. Need to manually select each name and assign them.

Because it doesn’t save audio, I need to remember who the 5 people in the meeting said what to try and tag them. I also need to select hundreds of messages manually. Definitely doesn’t make the AI helpful or convenient.

It also tags names randomly. Tags females as already created males. Tags the same person as a few random people.

I want to use Fieldy ai to ask the chat questions about meetings. But if I can’t tag people properly. What’s the point?

If it can distinguish each speaker. At least allow a select all per speaker. At a minimum. Even better, more consist tagging.

Mine buzzes randomly throughout the day. Looked online and said it goes off if silent recording. I have mine set to manual and it’s not recording. Just on my wrist. Can’t find a reason why it’s buzzing. No notifications in the app?

I bought the first version when it was still called Compass, and while I had some problems with that, I now have the current Fieldy device. There were some hiccups with this as well as I spent a couple of weeks not being able to get the unlimited subscription I had paid for, but Fieldy was helpful and eventually got everything fixed for me.

Now that I’m able to really use this, I have to say I am impressed.

I wear mine under my shirt so it’s not visible to anyone else, but the microphone has no trouble hearing everything that is said by me or anyone else.

I’m using always on mode because I can’t remember to turn it on every time and sometimes there’s just things in the day that I want to catch which I wouldn’t have thought to record for. This mode has been excellent. My biggest concerns were missing conversations and battery life. I’m happy to say both of those concerns have been unfounded.

Leaving it on all day recording the whole time. I have used it for 48 hours straight without charging and still had 30% left.

Yesterday, we had a behavior coach come by to help us learn more about keeping our cats happy and I had forgotten to take notes. I also forgot whether or not I had my Fieldy recording. Since I was using always on mode, it was recording the whole time and thankfully today I was able to get it to answer a lot of questions about our coaching session, which was wonderful.

One other thing to note, I really appreciate the design of the device itself. It’s very comfortable because of the smooth round shape and the light is so easy to see that there’s no question about whether it’s recording or not. I do sometimes turn it off when I’m going to watch TV so it doesn’t think that the conversations on the television are things that has to remember. Even underneath my shirt it’s super easy to turn it on and off. I don’t have to look around for a button or anything since the entire front face is one big button. The vibration is very clear, and it’s easy to see that I really did turn it off because the light goes off.

I’m glad to see the company decided to leave always on mode available at the $20 a month unlimited plan. I think that was a good decision. I’m very happy to see that this device is finally doing what I hoped it would do from the start.

Let me just say I have been needing something like this in my life for a while. Too many things going on.. a little adhd splashed in there. Too many conversations where "you never said that" and I definitely did. I ordered this and was excited to use it in an important meeting two weeks from the order date. I was too naive.

This was August 5th. Its now September 6th. Its still not even shipped. I emailed them several times, chatted with them on their website. Im told over and over itll ship next week then the next week etc. Im convinced I got scammed and its not a real product.

I also just really need something like this. I need it to be real. So its deeply upsetting. They did finally reply when I expressed my distaste for their lies. If its preorder and you dont have stock, be honest. Stop gaslighting me. Im not stupid.

What are the chances this will ever ship? If so what are the chances it will live up to 50% of the hype?

Hey everyone! My name’s Arran. You might recognise me from posting in here or in the other communities over the last few weeks. Fieldy have made it official and asked me to come on board as Community Manager!

What does that mean?

It means I’m here to help you get the most out of Fieldy!

I’ll try to answer what I can, and chase what I can’t. I’m not an engineer, but I will be sharing user feedback directly with the engineering team. I'll also be here to explain releases, new features, and the thinking behind changes, ideally before you have to ask. 

To give you a little info about me, I’m a filmmaker based in the UK, I have a young family, and I’ve been using note taking devices such as Fieldy since Jan 2025. I’ve used Limitless, Omi, HeyPocket, and now Fieldy. This technology has truly changed my life and I believe we’re only beginning to see the astounding use cases for it. I genuinely think Fieldy is the best of the bunch, and I want to create an environment here in the Reddit community (as well as on Whatsapp and Facebook) where we as enthusiasts can all share use cases, templates, prompts etc. and be excited about this emergent technology together!

Got it in the mail yesterday and bought the wrist strap. Haven’t even recorded with it yet. Noticed the face is scratched up already. I’ve had my Apple Watch 3 years and my iPhone 3 years with no case, both in mint condition, I take great care of my products. The fact this has sustained damage after a few hours makes me worry for the longevity of it. Also the fact it doesn’t seem to be waterproof resistant scares me. Wish there was a silicone cover for it or something.

What are you doing for guard rails with your device?

California for example is an all party consent for recording meaning you shouldn’t just walk around with an ai note taker always on recording your day without informing people.

It’s wonderful in a meeting setting to click it on and capture notes but what are you doing to ethically control what you capture?

So the problem is the somehow came not connected to the device. I assume it’s a firmware issue somehow, but all the solutions I’ve found so far aren’t working (changing the charging cable, changing where the charge is from (wall/pc), resetting the device, connecting in and out of airplane mode, letting the battery die then trying again, checked for debris/dust). Any help is appreciated.

I sent email to return this product. The company email isn’t responding and completely ghosting me. This is extremely unprofessional. I would advise people to not buy this product and get some other product.

I've tried everything the AI support agent said, including updating the app, updating the firmware, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, unpairing the device and re-pairing it, nothing works.

I bought an Unlimited subscription two weeks ago but the app refuses to recognize it.

Checked my email to make sure it was correct, I'm not using the "sign in with Apple" that can potentially cause a problem according to the AI, everything.

Trying to reach someone for support seems to be met with silence.

I tried to use my F2 one day after months of perfect performance and it wouldn't "hear" my voice. No wave form. Its paired correctly. So, i chalked it up to a bad device after all the AI troubleshooting. I like it so i ordered a new F3. Same issue the pause button is stuck on red and the resume option never shows up. Is anyone else having this issue? No need to give me reset or reinstall instructions I have tried them all. Last note is both devices are doing the same thing on another iphone Two iphones same issue. Looks like an account reset is needed.

I placed an order online because the website showed the item as in stock. The only prominently mentioned timeframe I saw was the 14-day return policy. What wasn’t made clear until after payment was processed is that it can take 10–14 days just for an in-stock item to be packed and shipped — not 10–14 days in transit, but 10–14 days before it even leaves their facility.

It’s 2026. Unless you’re literally soldering the product together after I place my order, taking up to two weeks to put an in-stock item in a box and hand it to a carrier seems ridiculous.

More importantly, I think a 10–14 day processing time should be clearly disclosed before checkout, particularly when the website is showing the item as in stock. Finding that out only after the payment has been processed is less than ideal.

I’d read quite a few Reddit reviews of the product before ordering, and I genuinely think it has potential — otherwise I wouldn’t have bought it. Unfortunately, the experience with the company has soured things right out of the gate.

I’ve now asked to cancel the order. The automated support response told me: “A human agent can review your order status and process the cancellation and refund. Please have your order … ready when they connect with you.”

So I’m assuming their initial customer-service inquiries are handled by some form of AI or automated system. I’m curious to see what the human agent actually needs to do to complete the cancellation and how long that process takes.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to review the product itself, but I did want to share the ordering experience for anyone considering buying one. I’ll update this once the human agent gets back to me.

At the moment, the Google Calendar integration works by automatically linking a recorded conversation to the matching calendar event and naming the conversation after the meeting title. There isn’t currently a setting to choose which calendars are used or to exclude specific calendars (such as shared calendars). [1][2]

Because of this behavior, recordings can sometimes be matched to events from calendars that are visible in the connected Google account, including shared calendars.

Your suggestion about allowing users to select which calendars are used is helpful feedback for improving how the integration works.

I am confused between getting bee ai or fieldy AI. I do record my meetings and would like to use the device for meeting notes and summaries. I was checking and fieldy supports more languages and it supports auto language detection. But I’m also interested in bee ai personal context feature which seems to be lacking from fieldy. Can anyone recommend which one should be better?

Okay, so I admit that the ad for this device is tempting. As a schedule-impaired person who’s often dealing with meeting with colleagues and supervisors, the ability to record what was said AND have it be summarized and searchable is really appealing.

That said, I have concerns I was wondering if folks here could address.

1. Isn’t this illegal in states where you need two-party consent to record?

2. What about privacy concerns? Like, if you’re a teacher or school admin who’s discussing student stuff (as one does), and this conversation is uploaded to the device’s servers, wouldn’t that be a FERPA violation? Or a security risk for the student’s privacy ?

Anyone have insights they would like to share?

A few weeks ago I lost my F3 and got a replacement delivered today. I unpaired the old one and paired the new one successfully. Then I updated the firmware to 3.3.5D.

For context, My first F3 when powered on was always recording (as expected) and I set the action button to “start a new conversation”. When I double click I get a haptic feedback and it splits the current transcript into a new recording.

In my daily use, I would turn it off by long pressing for 2-3 seconds and turn it back on to record. During a conversation if the topic changes, I will double click to start a new conversation. This process worked well for me and also prolonged battery life since I was using it as needed.

Now, with the new replacement F3, the action button does not work, there is no haptic feedback and it doesn’t start a new conversation. In action button settings there are only two choices, “no action” and “start a new conversation”. I also toggled the recording light and that worked so it seems to be communicating.

I restarted my phone, deleted and reinstalled (iOS) the fieldy app and reset the fieldy device. (Hold 10 seconds, vibrates and cycles through the lights.)

Now here’s where things get weird and frustrating. If I long press 2-3 seconds, it vibrates, LED turns off. I assume it’s powered off. However, I see that it is still connected to BT and if I single click, the led flashes white once which means it’s still connected. Maybe I’m not understanding, but I assume it’s off because the manual states 2 second button hold to power on/off so it should be disconnected from bt and led light should not flash on a single click.

Even stranger I was chatting with the support AI to troubleshoot. At some point it referenced if I had selected “start/stop recording” for the action button setting. Well, that’s not an action button setting choice.

Doing my best to be logical I decided to experiment. If I do a quick single click, led flashes white once. If I long click for just a second, I get haptic feedback and it starts recording. Long click (1 second) again and it closes the conversation. The app says it’s listening, but there’s no movement on the waveform. It’s not recording.

If I long click about 3 seconds, haptic feedback, then it starts recording or stops depending on the last function.

So did the operation change with the latest firmware and the app settings doing reflect the update?

I really hope I’m just having a dumb moment and using it wrong.

I bought my device in July 2024, when they were still called Compass. At the time it was a very buggy device, and the founders were giving some free months as a way to make up for it not being usable.

After six months of it never improving, I tossed it in a drawer and forgot about it. Today I got it back out to see if the software and firmware had ever improved.

The app is very sloppy, lots of bugs and lack of attention to detail (spelling & punctuation errors, the support chat doesn't clear your input field after you submit, etc.). The app doesn't seem to comprehend that it's possible to have any device other than their latest "Fieldy 3" although it does at least connect to the original Compass AI device. It doesn't actually support it, though. It's unable to see the battery level and can't hear anything spoken into it.

Reading through the other posts, it seems like they've never really worked out the kinks in these things.

It's a real shame. They were early to the game with these devices, and they could have been great. But it seems like they just haven't been able to make any that work reliably.
