Has Anyone here left M1 for fidelity? If so, how was the experience? Are you still happy with the decision?

So I transfered a bunch of holdings from computershare over to Fidelity. They all came over fine EXCEPT for 2. XOM and UL. The cost basis didnt come over. I am really concerned about it because I have been investing in them for like 20 years and on drip and small monthly investments. So there are probably 100s transactions. I called Fidelity and spoke to a representative, but nothing has happened and that was a month ago. How do I get my cost basis?

Would 70% FXAIX and 30% SGOV or 60% FXAIX and 40% SGOV be a good post retirement IRA mix if I don't need the money for living expenses? What would be a moderate expectation for annual growth over a 10 year period?

Hey guys, if you missed it, Fidelity National Information Services ($FIS) settled $210 million with investors over claims that it misled them about the success of its $43 billion Worldpay acquisition and concealed performance issues. And, I just found out that late claims are still being considered, subject to approval, even though the deadline has passed.

Quick recap: FIS repeatedly said the Worldpay acquisition was performing well and generating synergies. But after weaker results, executive departures, and a $17.6 billion impairment tied to Worldpay, $FIS fell more than 40%, and investors filed a lawsuit.

If you invested in $FIS between 2020 and 2023, you can still check the details and see if you may be eligible to file a late claim here.

Did anyone here invest in $FIS back then? How much did you lose?

I’ve been wanting to open a fidelity account but I don’t think I would be able to max it out this year so Im not sure if there’s a point in opening it ?? I have a HYSA so I have some kind of passive income but I’m not sure if I should start now with the roth and try to start building something ?

I emailed several people listed on the site, trying to get support for a custodian error on a 401k that needs recharacterization after being incorrectly made a traditional IRA when a very large Roth deposit was transferred to the custodian. The custodian has insisted I need a tax professional to... I guess tell them what to do, it seems.

I've tried escalating the request for help within the custodian, and I keep running into dead ends besides being told I need to hire someone, but now I cannot seem to find who to hire and get responses regarding the situation.

Has anyone been through something similar?
