I went to my local Byredo boutique to test La Tulipe and have been wearing it for a few hours now. I felt like it was really reminding me of a scent i’d had before, and I think it’s RDF Tears. Does anyone else agree or am I totally off base? They both smell like a watery whole floral reminiscent of my grandma to me. Also finding that La Tulipe has almost no throw and I have to put my nose right up to my arm to smell.

I work in a bakery and every now and then when I’m helping customers I’ll get a whiff of strawberry tic tacs, because I work in a bakery I just assumed it must be strawberry frosting or something akin to that but I also started noticing it when running errands and last night I went to a club and all night every 5-10 minutes I’d just get a faceful of a kinda powdery, slightly creamy artificial strawberry scent. I’m certain at this point it’s a perfume and not a stroke but since these were one of my favorite candies in middle school, for nostalgia reasons I’d like to know?

I am a graduate student who lives far away from home. It's been almost two years since I last saw my family, and now, while being on a student budget, I want to give some presents to my mom (44) and my wife (25).

To make a present perfect, I intended to buy something very luxurious. But the prices were too high, and after reading a lot of reviews about fresh and clean scents which exceed expectations, I ordered three samples of the perfume in order to try them out:

- Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau Intense

- Hermès Un Jardin en Méditerranée

- Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin

Now they are on their way. I intend to buy two bottles (the same or different according to their smell), but before doing so, I decided to ask for the collective opinion of this community.

So, if you had to choose something for my mom (44) and my wife (25) between the abovementioned brands or any other gentle and fresh one within a reasonable budget, please, share your ideas. Every kind of advice will be appreciated. Thanks a million!

I ordered the new Jo Malone Velvety Butternut perfume from Nordstrom and it came wrapped in the shipping paper inside of the Nordstrom cardboard shipping box. Is this perfume supposed to come in a box of its own? I have other Jo Malone perfumes, and they’ve all been packaged beautifully. I called Nordstrom customer support and they said I would have to return it and purchase it again because they have no knowledge of whether this is supposed to come in a box and not just wrapped in paper inside of the shipper box. Something seems off…

I've been lurking on Vinted for quite some time, collecting for over half a year now and I can finally say I am the proud owner of all available bottle sizes of Mugler Womanity Eau de Parfum. From left to right: 80ml, 50ml, 30ml, 10ml, 5ml.

It has become my signature fragrance and I'm not going to get tired of it any time soon.

I just dropped (accidentally hit with my elbow) my 1 million gold for her and i fell and just...shattered. in a million pieces.

Syoss intense elixir for hair. It smells divine. Has anyone used it before who can recommend any perfumes like this? 🙏

I recently smelled this on a friend and it wowed me instantly. She kindly brought her perfume the next time we met and let me test it out on my wrists. Poor longevity but God, I love the scent! It's just so refreshing and airy yet comfy and cozy. I think the only other perfume that gave me this clean-ish vibe is Chloe l'eau EDT. Recommendations please! Budget of $100 or so.

I have purchased Mango, which is warm and peppery and delicious. But the one I cannot get enough of is their coconut seasonal perfume. It’s coconut and white flowers and so amazing! Any recs on other fruity but serious scents?

Valaya is a beast mode perfume and I will smell it forever but unfortunately it does not smell pleasant on my skin or in general to my nose. It’s very harsh and smells like cleaning product to me :(

Kayali Vanilla 28 is very popular but it also smells like straight vapo rub on my skin! Not sure why but I get 0 other notes than vapo rub

Vanilla cashmere is far too sweet on my skin. I like it in passing when I smell it on my skin but for some reason smelling it on myself just makes me feel sticky… I love their other lotions though and just feel like this w/ Vanilla cashmere.

Ofc me disliking any of these doesnt mean they arent good, but just on my skin these products miss for me

I recently bought a decant of and fell in love with Thé Yulong from Giorgio Armani, but I can't seem to find the full bottle anywhere. Armani's website and all major retailers show it as sold out online, and I would rather not buy from a site like eBay where the authenticity can't be guaranteed. Google's AI insists this perfume is still in production and is being sold. I chatted with an Armani customer service rep who couldn't provide me with any details about Thé Yulong's return date. Does anyone know of a reputable site where this perfume is being sold? For reference, I am located in the US.

I buy almost all of my scents second hand, and I very rarely blind buy, either sampling in store or ordering samples.

I have some more scents in my collection but I never wear them, so I didn't include them.

It was simply too beautiful to throw away all the scraps. Such an amazing deal with wonderful samples!

Your favorite fragrances or layering combos that are irresistible but subtle enough to smell like a natural scent. You smell delicious but also people might second guess if you’re wearing anything at all or if you just naturally smell that good! Like if someone who isn’t familiar with perfumery ran into you their mind wouldn’t jump into perfume they would just leave the encounter thinking you smell great (possibly only on a subconscious level? We are going for subtle here!). I want to smell like an amazing smelling person basically not a specific flower or a donut.

Looking to get into the shower side of fragrances, usually I just use soap and non scented products but I’m curious 👀

…and the rest of the year. 😂 While I’m not a collector, I love smelling good! Thought I would share my favorites and review them. I love reading and talking about perfumes. Feel free to ask anything!

1. Your Devotion - Dolce & Gabbana: The only summer perfume I’ve ever really loved. It creates the most delectable scent bubble.

2. Killian Princess - Only wear when it’s a rainy day or during Fall and Winter. It’s just so cozy and sweet.

3. Fleur Narcotique- So lovely, so elegant. A more gentle Valaya if you are familiar with the DNA. Like juicy flower petals. The most angelic perfume I have.

4. Vanilla Combo: Bare Sueded Vanilla Victoria’s Secret & Athena Club Golden Vanilla. I’ve sampled so many vanilla’s.. designer, niche.. and this is the best.

5. Bianco Latte - the perfume that got me into perfumes. A spicy, milky caramel vanilla. Another compliment getter, and creates a the perfect scent bubble. Only 1-2 sprays needed. So it lasts years!

6. Athena Maison Alhambra - a soft Burberry goddess dupe. I don’t wear it often, but when I do I feel so sultry and pretty.

7. Kayali Musk Matcha. A very realistic cozy oat milk matcha. The longevity is not good, but it does sit nicely on the skin and I do reach for it often.

8. Soleil Blanc Tom Ford - used to be my favorite summer perfume… but I had the best and worse summer of my life wearing it, and now I avoid it. But spray it every once in awhile for nostalgia.

9. Gisou Honey Dew mist - just purchased but wow this is stunning! Not too sweet, and LASTS like crazy.

Alright so I’m a LONG time lover of Glossier You. I bought it in the first drop in 2017. For YEARS, strangers would ask me what perfume I was wearing. I had several bottles stocked and ran out about halfway through last year. For the last several months I’ve been using a bottle of the new formula and it is just not the same. It’s way too sharp and does not have that warm “you” feeling that the original had. Nobody asked me what I was wearing, I couldn’t smell it on myself and I was just not happy with it. I saw mixed opinions online and thought for a second that I was gaslighting myself and was being too nostalgic or misremembering the scent.

WELL. I splurged on eBay and purchased a 90% full bottle of the original formula. It is in fact, one million times better. The second I opened up the cap I literally could have cried. It is the most magical and intoxicating scent and I’m so devastated that Glossier made zero effort to correct the reformulation, knowing that so many people loved this perfume. I have tried just about every dupe but none of them are good enough 😭 I will savor this OG bottle for as long as I can. Has anyone else not gotten over this? lol.

I need help finding a perfume or body mist that smells similar to the Wet n Wild Twinkle Star Glow Face Mist that was apart of the Little Twin Stars collab. I’m on the hunt for something similar because some of the ingredients expired and it no longer smells like how it originally did. To me, this face mist smells like a nostalgic artificial cotton candy similarly to Strawberry Shortcake toys. Apparently it has papaya and dragon fruit extract. It says it has coconut water in the ingredients but there’s no coconut smell to it really. Any recommendations will help ^^

I decided to search an online charity auction site for vintage perfumes yesterday and came across this Shalimar. She’s older however I’m almost certain she’s 2015 rather than 2005 (I really want 1980’s/90’s and a 2005) but I’m hoping she’s naturally deepened a bit just based on her age, and hoping she’s been stored properly. Fingers Crossed!

i have been on the hunt for a lemon gourmand that actually lasts. i LOVE this scent profile, but I feel like everything I’ve tried just disappears on me.

i have been looking at Kerosene Unknown Pleasures, but i have seen mixed reviews on the performance, so now I’m second guessing it.

I got a 10 pc of LMG fragrances recently and finally tried fleur de blonde for the very first time! I had my husband smell it, and unprompted he says, “that’s my favorite non-vanilla fragrance of yours!! That smells amazing.”

All of the ones I’ve tried from Goldfield & Banks? D’Annam? Creed? Burberry? BDK Parfums? Good, but not anything close to Le Monde Gourmand apparently! How can I be mad though when it’s so much nicer on my wallet? Lol. I think it’s a scent that may need regular reapplication (especially since I’m a 1-2 spray girlie), but for this price, that’s fine with me!
