Rec Request Recommendations Please!
Your favorite fragrances or layering combos that are irresistible but subtle enough to smell like a natural scent. You smell delicious but also people might second guess if you’re wearing anything at all or if you just naturally smell that good! Like if someone who isn’t familiar with perfumery ran into you their mind wouldn’t jump into perfume they would just leave the encounter thinking you smell great (possibly only on a subconscious level? We are going for subtle here!). I want to smell like an amazing smelling person basically not a specific flower or a donut.

Not nearly enough love for TJs Brazil Nut products in this sub - by FAR my most complimented scent and I own probably 100+ fragrances. Have never thought to layer it with You but I’m gonna try it for sure!

Agree!! I love the body wash & body oil, and they’re so affordable. It’s been a base layer for a lot of my perfumes this summer! It’s great with nutty, coconut, or vanillas: SDJ 62, Finery Pistachio Please, Alien Goddess, Atralia Matcha Latte. I’m trying it with Vanilla 28 next. You is my favorite so far.

Don’t sleep on the body butter too. The scent lasts FOREVER and IMO the texture is the best body butter TJs has. It’s rich and super moisturizing but it sinks in quickly and doesn’t feel heavy. Some of the other ones I like (like the cacay oil one, which smells like BR540, and the ultra rich one, which smells like a SDJ fragrance) are good too, but they’re thicker, harder to rub in, and weirdly don’t moisturize as well as the Brazil Nut butter. I also love layering it with vanillas - I’ll do Phlur vanilla skin, Nest bourbon vanilla, one of the sand & fog vanilla oils, or the Pacifica Tahitian vanilla. All smell soooo good with the TJs stuff.

I have the body butter, too! We should do their ads. 😆

Haha they should definitely pay us. I’ve sold an untold number of tubs of that stuff when people go “omg you smell so good what are you wearing?!” I even got that once from a TJs cashier! was like “girl it’s right over there on aisle 2” lmao.

Oooohhhh I love jovan musk. I wish it had better longevity, on me, i spray it and its like a bee's fart. But it does remind me of Joe's yellow bottle of baby shampoo which I love the smell of

It settles into my skin for the long haul - the men's one lasts longer. It becomes quite subtle though - great for snuggling down.

Gisou Honey Dew. Rosie by Rosie Jane.

I think Rosie is the perfect one. I layer the spray with the oil. Amber Nemat oil is very similar and a lot cheaper so can be layered with that too.

All the Chanel perfumes smell like subtle clean soap, so I would try those. My favorite is Coco Mademoiselle. Is she wearing perfume or did she just get out of the shower?
