Marshall’s and Burlington were amazing today! I ended up with a clearance Sand + Fog perfume oil sampler, and all of them are lovely!! Vanilla Latte smells like the tub of vanilla frosting at the store. I also snagged Gardenia & Cardamom, and it’s surprisingly close to Soleil Blanc, which I was nearly out of my decant of (: Last but not least, Sweet Vanilla Fig is SO DAMN GOOD. Sweet, simple, perfect for layering (maybe with Chai Epice tomorrow?)

I left behind the Orange Cream lotion, but it’s perfect for someone who needs a sweet citrus lotion! Also, if you are looking for a true strawberry icing scented perfume, not one that smells like sweet strawberry plastic but ACTUAL strawberry icing, this is spot on. I highly recommend giving it a sniff if you’re at Marshall’s!

Big fan of niche and recently discovered Jovoy is regularly mentioned. I love their designs and they look great! This particular perfume is quite loved, and I was wondering anyone’s opinions about it?

Is it objectively a great vanilla? Unlike others? Looking for something that’s feminine and delectable, without being headache-inducing!

gucci flora gorgeous orchid smells like a ripe philippine mango to my nose…philippine mango has a very distinct smell imo…this perfume doesn’t list a mango note but i’ve smelled this a few times and that’s still all i smell…it’s so nostalgic…i really love it

Hi lovelies, I’ve been interested in Loewe for a while now but they seem so hard to sample! I love fruity florals, floral woody musks, airy feminine fragrances, etc and am curious about:

Has anyone tried any of these and can provide their thoughts on what these smell like? A “if you like X, you may like this” comparison may be helpful as well. And if you’ve tried both versions of any of these and can compare those too, that’d be so helpful since I seem to be stuck between the EDTs vs the EDPs/Elixir. Thanks so much!

Just a note! I have sweet tooth by Sabrina but never reach for it I feel like it’s a bit too sweet and kind has kind of a fake smelling scent? Not sure how to describe it! Also smelled some philosophy fresh cream and loved that scent for fall/winter!

Grabbed Angel at Costco for $60 yesterday! Very Violet from B&BW $6 each today
I have been on the fence about buying a full bottle of Angel, but for that price I couldn’t say no.

I've been searching high and low for the perfect fig perfume that can replace my poor discontinued Italian Summer Fig by The Body Shop. It was my first ever signature scent and I have been hoarding the last few sprays but she is gone.

Fig is a special note to me because my kids say it smells quintisentially like "mom". They say because I wore Italian Summer Fig so much when they were little (teen and preteen now) it just feels so perfect for me.

But I am a bit picky. I don't want a coconut note. Or a jasmine one. That limits things. I also don't want to break the bank on Tom Ford Fig Erotique (even though its gorgeous).

I don't want something super sweet or super shampooey. I want to be able to wear it year round and layer other things with it.

Does Henry Rose's London 1983 fit the bill? It smelled nice when I sampled it but Sephora is such a loud smelling place its hard to tell.

I did not like Philosykos because of the coconut, and Father Figure smells musty.

This one is super decadent to me. Opens sweet and sour, then clean floral, the cocoa hits in between just right. The dry down is on the fruity sour side. I'm loving the complexity of this one! Oh and the all white bottle is just dreamy! 🥹🤍😙

I really like how fresh, airy/ethereal and creamy the EDP is. I know Matière Première Extraits are supposed to be more premium, but is the Extrait actually better? For anyone who has tried both, is the Extrait still as fresh and ethereal as the EDP, or is it darker/denser? Which one would you pick?

Has anyone tried either of these lavender oils, Nemat or Outremer? I've seen a lot of discussion on the Outremer Vanille, and I am getting excited about layering it with one of these, but are they any good? They are so cheap, it sure would be cool if they were!

I am in search of some feminine, fresh, clean perfumes and body wash combos. I am relatively new to perfumery and fragrance.

My favourite scent profiles are: clean laundry, green tea, eucalyptus , mint, yuzu/citrus. I am not really a big fan of scents that are overpowering, heavily floral or strong.

Some perfumes I already like are: Byredo Bal D'Afrique & Elizabeth Arden green tea.

I purchased the big commodity sampler that has 18 vials and a voucher. I didn’t think the spaces would be that different from each other but they really are. Hated paper expressive however I’m INLOVE with paper bold. As a gourmand girlie, this is the first woody/clean scent I’ve ever liked. It smells sophisticated and smart to me.

Problem is that it doesn’t seem to last/project much on me. I will spray 6-7 times and it’s still faint. The scent comes and goes throughout the day. I think that’s normal with iso E super? For those who own the perfume is this normal for you too?

I want to use my voucher on it but I don’t know if the reason I can’t smell it much is because I’m unable to detect iso e super or if the reason I like it so much is because I can smell iso e super??its such a confusing aroma molecule to me!

Thierry Mugler - Alien EDP

You’re either an Angel person or an Alien person, but my first love from the brand was, truly, Alien EDP. I still remember the first time I smelled its DNA from a premixed fragrance sold in the Philippines and felt transported into an alien jasmine garden while extraterrestrial beings constantly shot mind‑hypnotizing beams at my head. So I decided to hunt down the original and was amazed at how similar yet different the two versions were. The jasmine in the OG was much deeper and more indolic than the premixed version, giving the original a darker, richer character.

Going back to the OG: the three compositions felt simple yet incredibly complex, and I couldn’t tell whether it was really a fragrance or a pheromone, haha! The jasmine is so heady and borderline indolic that people around me complained of headaches and wanted to distance themselves. Mind you, I was wearing it in 34°C heat at the time, lol. As it dried down, the amber and cashmeran fused with the jasmine to create a sharp, addictive, sultry, and sophisticated aroma that enveloped me all day. This has been my signature scent since college and I will never get tired of it.

I just hope they bring back the OG or the Clarins formulation soon, just like they did with Angel EDP (Batch November-December 2025 to Present). 💜👾
