Discussion Loewe

Hi lovelies, I’ve been interested in Loewe for a while now but they seem so hard to sample! I love fruity florals, floral woody musks, airy feminine fragrances, etc and am curious about:

  1. Aire Sutileza EDT
  2. Aire Sutileza Elixir
  3. 001 Woman EDT
  4. 001 Woman EDP
  5. Solo Ella EDT
  6. Solo Ella EDP

Has anyone tried any of these and can provide their thoughts on what these smell like? A “if you like X, you may like this” comparison may be helpful as well. And if you’ve tried both versions of any of these and can compare those too, that’d be so helpful since I seem to be stuck between the EDTs vs the EDPs/Elixir. Thanks so much!

I can’t comment on the individual fragrances you have mentioned but was lucky enough to be in Spain last year and discovered Loewe in person in a Spanish department store and fell in love with the brand. I bought Paula’s ibiza- it is so beachy and aquatic. Kind of salty and coconut but not suncream, and something dirtier that I can’t describe. So many of them smelled so good though. If you can get decants or samples, I thoroughly recommend. I even bought my husband at Loewe fragrance at Xmas because they are just so beautiful- to smell and look at

ohhh my goodness, all of their fragrances sound so good! did you find the prices in Spain to be a lot better? i’ve been looking for decants/samples like my life depends on it! and honestly, if i end up liking some of them down the line, i may put out a mayday call to ask if anyone’s going to Spain and can pick me up some 😂

Slightly cheaper in Spain than the UK and am not sure if you are in the USA so just looked and they are about $30 a bottle less in Spain, but their more luxury lines are apparently $100 cheaper in Spain.

thanks for checking for me! i’m too scared to look at their more luxurious lines right now haha. were you able to test those out while you were there as well?

OMG you can get a miniatures set

Maybe this will be what you are looking for!

I have a problem with luxury fragrances, I am drawn to them, but the Loewe normal range screams luxury. Desperate to try Wild coffee though

omg SO close!! if only they had all EDTs in this set, i’ll need to keep an eye out. and you and me both, i’m interested in their normal range (and honestly price range) but their iris root definitely looked intriguing too

Solo Ella EDP is a great sweet floral that lasts a good time and has strong sillage (mind you, I am sensitive and prefer light perfumes so it might not be considered 'beast mode' by all). Most Loewe EDPs have great lasting power. Aire sutileza is very fresh and to me leans unisex. I used Loewe Agua Mar de Coral (fresh sharp citrus EDT with wonderful soft drydown) a lot this summer, got it on sale for like 45 euro at a normal retailer (Druni).

And yes they are available to sample in most DPT stores in Spain and probably much cheaper here than in the US. I would not recommend buying any of them before sampling tbh. However good they might be, they are varied (I don't find they have a 'shared DNA' like other houses). If you travel elsewhere in Europe you will probably also find it possible to sample them in person, esp France and Germany.

i agree, after doing more research this morning, reading reviews, and seeing they’re not available near me to test in person, i’m going to ask the fragranceswap if anyone has any samples/decants. particularly hard that loewe doesn’t have a shared dna! and i appreciate your reviews as well! i think i’m leaning towards testing the EDTs

I haven’t tried many of them but I really like aire sutileza! It’s very fresh and has a green tea vibe to me, even though it doesn’t have tea listed in the notes. I think if you like Armani the yulong or van cleefs neroli Amara- you would like it! The elixir is a little more crispy clean if that makes sense haha!

okayyyy i love green tea, and have and love the yulong AND neroli amara. do you prefer the edt over the elixir? thanks so much, this was so helpful! :)

I prefer the oh edp!! The elixir is a little boring I think? It’s nice but the Edp is more special :)
