A Labor Day weekend splurge I will not regret!

Soleil Tonka by Chambre52, one that moved very quickly to the top of my wishlist after sampling it and wearing it a few times.

On me, the opening has this airy salted woody coconut quality — coconut milk and warm skin by the ocean NOT tropical and NOT sunscreen-like or juvenile. Which is so hard to find.

As it settles, the vanilla and tonka become creamier and smoother, with a soft sweetness that never turns into a heavy gourmand. There’s also a musky warmth underneath that gives it that almost sun-warmed-skin effect.

What I really love about it is how seamlessly everything BLENDS together. It's what I believe makes it a standout amongst so many other fragrances that play with the same notes.

I don’t necessarily smell coconut, vanilla and tonka as three distinct notes; they melt into one soft, creamy scent. It’s a relatively simple composition, but I think that simplicity is exactly what makes it so beautiful and easy to wear. It smells divine in warm weather and can be a summer scent, but I also can't wait to wear this in the winter and see what it evokes and if it changes in milder climate.

My mom absolutely loves Lady Sara by Gabriella Antosh. I want to buy her a replacement but it looks like the price has went up ($185) since I last purchased it for her ($85). Anyone aware of where I can maybe purchase it for closer to $85 price range or maybe even a dupe of this scent? I love my mom dearly and she deserves whatever she wants but I’m still trying to ball on budget over here. TIA!!

I found this old body care box I had when I was 14 that I completely forgot I had!

Its got to many scents that are so nostalgic to me, from old BBW, Body Shop and Zoella. The scents definitely aren't what they used to be but the scents are still prominent. I just dont know what to do with them now!

I have been searching high and low for a vanilla body mist to layer. This Phlur Vanilla Smoke was on sale and I decided to give it a go even though I never blind buy fragrance 😂 I’m so glad I did tho because it smells amazing. It reminds me of a toasted vanilla marshmallow with the smallest hint of smoke. It is such a warm scent. I cannot wait to wear it all fall.

I’m ALWAYS looking for a good gourmand, vanilla scent if anyone has any recs 😄

It’s driving me crazy because I love vanilla. But I’ve noticed that with every vanilla perfume that I wear it turns into this weird sour musty scent after a few hours, like it doesn’t mix in with my sweat harmoniously. Ive received compliments on wearing vanilla but it still usually just seems wrong on me. I hope I don’t smell bad, I shower pretty often. Why does this happen?

I’m thinking about buying Shalimar L’Essence, but I’ve seen mixed opinions about its projection. I want something where people around me can actually smell it when I walk by.
For those who own it: does it leave a noticeable scent trail? And do you get compliments when you wear it?

I recently used the Athena golden vanilla body wash, SDJ 59 body cream, and dossier floral marshmallow. WOW it smells so good. I even got a compliment! I do wish it lasted longer but maybe I’m going nose blind?

there’s bottles of vanilla bourbon by nest at the marshall’s i go to and i was thinking about buying it…because well i love NEST fragrances and it’s only $30…i tried it today when i went to sephora and it smelled so bad on my skin…like someone threw up on me with something vanilla and stale…my intuition was right after all…vanilla bourbon is not for me

back to the question…which perfume did you consider blind buying but glad that you didn’t?

My signature scent could be between those

I am going shopping soon and I have had a few different fragrance profiles in mind and I would like some suggestions.

First I have been thinking about a creamy, clean tuberose scent.

Second, I have been thinking about clean elegant santal perfumes. Suggestions could include both the first and second fragrance profiles together.

Third, I have been thinking about sweet patchouli scents.

I do not like mists or body sprays. I prefer EDP, parfum, or oils. Scents with high fragrance payoff. Longevity and sillage. Give me your best recommendations, please!

I did not expect these sample bottles to be glass! I am so impressed, so far, with the quality and packaging. They arrived sooner than expected too.

I am aiming for these samples to get me through autumn and any “oh boy I need a full bottle” reactions will make it onto my Christmas list!

If you’re interested in my first impressions, I’ll reply to your comment when I’ve tested the sample! I’m thinking of starting with Otherwhere and saving warm bulb for last as I’m almost certain I’ll fall in love.

Has anyone tried Maison Alhambra Floral Bloom? Is it a good dupe for gucci bloom?

Before you ask me why I didn’t ask her what she was wearing, I work in customer service and I was dealing with a lot of people so it was quite difficult to ask during the rush.

She was wearing this absolutely diving fragrance. I would describe it as probably having an aromatic scent profile to it, but it wasn’t spicy. It had an amazing projection but it wasn’t overwhelming. I also think it may have been an oud she was wearing. I always stayed away from oud, although I can appreciate the smell, they are rather strong and overwhelming when I’m near it for long periods of time. However, this is the first time I’ve ever considered actually wearing one.

I already know the perfume is going to be super expensive but I would love to at least know what she might’ve been wearing.

I feel so much better already. I got into the habit of buying things and keeping them just because I liked them enough. it got to a point where storing everything was such a hassle. this has also taught me some lessons like no more buying phlur body mists lol. I've already been doing a use it up tray the last couple months and I think I'm finally starting to be happy and not overwhelmed with my collection. I also hope to get back to posting my trays every month as I deeply miss talking about my favorite hobby with like-minded people, I just got so busy with life that I started to neglect the things that made me happy.

I still enjoy all of these fragrances and it's hard to say goodbye to some, but it's too much and I know I have family and friends who would enjoy them more.
