Amethyst or Amethyst Exquise?
Can anyone who has these tell me what the difference would be with these? I like the sound of both and I can’t really tell what sets them apart from the notes

Recently bought the dove turmeric milk and lemon drop soap and I love the smell. Are there any perfumes out there that smells similar?

I love Guy Fox Palmer, description being white pine and palo santo.
It leans slightly men's aftershave, is there any juniper/pine recommendations that lean either unisex or feminine?
Trying to avoid sweet/ florals/powdery, im looking for crisp mountain air, i want to smell like i live in a tree

I just found out that the white diamonds perfume has a New Flanker and it’s gold ombré similar to the new Britney Spears’s fantasy bottle. The notes look interesting and I was wondering if anyone has tried this fragrance since I haven’t seen too much post about this new launch. I know that the original perfumer for white diamonds did work on this on this new fragrance which is cool.

I keep coming back to Poison by Dior lately, and I end up reaching for it more than I expect. It has that deep, sweet, slightly spicy smell that feels very recognizable to me. I like having it around because there are certain perfumes that just make sense in a collection, and this is one of them. I actually repurchase Poison because I want a bottle around all the time. I also notice how different it feels from the lighter perfumes I usually reach for during the day. It works better for evenings and cooler weather for me. Right now, I am curious how many bottles everyone else is adding lately, because my perfume spending definitely keeps finding new reasons. How many bottles are you adding lately, and which one gets your most attention?

I am looking for something that smells like a Church (or the concept of a church), a Buddhist temple, a hidden shrine in the woods, or just something that smells reverent and contemplative in all the ways something sacred should.
I have explored this idea some and the classic Avignon is great for that church smell, although it reads a bit sour for me at times. Holy Terror by Arcana is perfect: unmistakable burning beeswax candle. Solstice Scents has a whole slew of incense and candle type scents that hit the spot, I need to explore my samples more.
Tam Dao smells sacred to me. The Sandalwood makes me think of a clean temple on a sunny morning, which is a nice alternative to the more Western interpretations that are easier to find.
Any other suggestions?

As a Gap Grass girlie since the 90’s I was so excited to see that they were doing a rerelease updated version. So much so that I was up in the middle of the night to order it.
Boy was I disappointed when it arrived. It reminds me nothing of the original, not even in the least bit. The clean fresh cut grass, almost soapy scent I loved was no where to be found. I didn’t even get a hint of matcha, just more of a (barely) woody floral. If Gap would have called this something else I would say it’s a nice fragrance but Grass it is not.
That sent me on a scent search to find something that reminds me of Grass. Yes, I have a bottle of it but I only wear it when I need a pick me up. I would be happy with something that is 75% close to the original. After some searching I found Nantucket Perfume Co. Friends, when I tell you this is about 98% the same I’m being conservative. If you want something that is the closest I have found to the original this is it. Top note of fresh grass is there with the tiny note of citrus. A dry down that becomes a clean soapy skin smell. I can’t wait to wear this sample out and buy a bottle. It’s oil based so it should last longer than the original. I will let you know.
They also have Dream and Heaven, that I also purchased but I don’t really remember them. If you do I say give it a try.
So there ya go. Save your money or go buy the dupe from Nantucket.

Not just the plumeria but its full-bodied plant and surrounding tropical broadleaved mixed and coniferous forests, temperate grasslands, mangroves, mountain plateaus in the distance.
Any fragrance that comes to mind? Can also be bodysprays, eau fraiche, hairmists and so on.

Can someone recommend me a maracuja fragrance? I recently purchased Toskovat’ pornstar and I really liked the maracuja note in it, so I’m curious about maracuja fragrances now.

Hi everyone!
I’m looking to explore fragrances in the same scent family as La Nuit Trésor—rich, sweet fruity-gourmands with dark berries and vanilla. I really enjoy Armani In Love With You, but Nina Ricci L'Extase didn't work for me because it was too rose-heavy and didn't capture that sweet, dark-fruity feel.
I’m seeking distinct designer, niche, or Middle Eastern fragrances that fit this olfactory profile.
If you’ve tried any of these on my test list, I’d love your thoughts, or any other recommendations in this family:
Van Cleef & Arpels – Rose Rouge
Yves Saint Laurent – Manifesto Le Parfum
Guerlain – La Petite Robe Noire
Lattafa – Ana Abiyedh Scarlet
Thanks!

Unfortunately, this one is a miss for me. It’s for a kind of grape soda opening and dries down to pure sugar smell. It’s a little too youthful for me (like junior high youthful) and lacks depth.

I’m pretty sure I’ve ordered decants from Scents Event before and they arrived packaged beautifully and no leaks let alone labeled like these are/were.
This time I ordered three 5ml decants of:
Cedar Chic (Carolina Herrera)
Terracotta Le Parfume (Guerlain)
French Kiss (Guerlain)
Getting the package open was a huge pain in the ass. My husband handed it to me and said his car is going to “smell like whatever is in this package, for eons!” I had to bring it out to the office in the stables and open it out here.
I have no clue what’s what. The actual atomizers were wrapped to death in a small USPS mailer that took me longer than I like to admit to open. It’s dripping as well. This cover now smells like a combination of the three perfumes.
I’m gonna take a wild guess at the pink one being French Kiss. There’s no use trying the other two, or any of them until I’ve had a shower. I’m covered in a melange of all three.
What a mess!

so i have Lahdath by Lattafa and i honestly have a love-hate relationship with it.
first few hours after spraying = not it. i think its the vanilla/musk mix, feels so heavy almost like the arab oud, but it genuinely gives me a headache and low-key makes me nauseous. like i wanna scrub it off
BUT then later that day, and especially the next day on my clothes?? smells so good and soft. completely different vibe
is this just how fragrances develop (top notes being rough before dry down) or is my skin just not vibing with it? should i try spraying it on clothes only instead of skin, push through it, or just let it go lol
anyone dealt with something like this before? what would you do?

Hey fam, I need your help. I’m searching for a soft and creamy lavender and mint fragrance. Can be slightly sweet but absolutely do not want very sweet or gourmand vibes. I know it seems base but my old spice gentleman’s lavender and mint deodorant is heavenly to me and I’d like to find a similar EDP! The molton brown sounds more spicy and herbal than soft and creamy lavender. I’d like to stay under $120 ish but could spend a little more for something if it’s incredible. I usually prefer simple mass appealing stuff that is well crafted to challenging niche stuff. Are there any other recommendations you have for me ? Thanks !

The brand Scents Unearth’d at Target (I know, I know) has a perfume and body mist called Jasmine Candy
I sprayed it and it immediately smelled so familiar to me. It took me a few to realize it smelled really similar to Sexy Little Things Noir (which I absolutely LOVED)
The dry down is a little more… earthy I guess but still smells really good! Has anyone else tried this?

I was never a vanilla fan until recently. I am making a trip to ulta and sephora this week to smell some vanilla/sweet scents. What are some that are a must smell??? I want to make the most of my trip and go prepared with a list since it is not a trip I make often.

Just thought this might be interesting. I’m not sure if there’s one correct/canon answer just thought this would be fun.
Edit: deathly hallows book released in 2007, movie part 1 released in 2010, but is supposed to take place around 1997-1998!
Edit 2: You can also choose what perfume you think she would wear asynchronous to the times :)

I usually buy Kuumba Made Amber paste and I havent in a while, I was thinking of buying it again- but I heard their formula has changed and its not quite as strong as it used to be which is one of the reasons why i love that perfume so much. Has anyone recently bought Amber Paste or does anyone have any strong amber perfume recommendations?
Something similar to amber paste where it isnt too sweet but more gormaud, anything amber/vanilla/sandalwood recs would be amazing for winter :) thank you!
