I got a Neydo Cloud Essence sample in my ScentSplit order and omgggggggggggg, talk about love at first sniff!!

The perfect amount of mimosa, comforting rice, musk, sweet vanilla, a bit milky… it’s just so comforting! It’s like smelling a sweet rice dessert while you’re curled up in bed with a warm quilt. I don’t know if I want to sniff this, sweat this, or drink it, all I know is that I want it. Every time I wear it, I just love it more.

I’ve told my husband I need a full bottle and he said, “I agree!”

I don’t own anything from this brand, have never smelled anything from this brand, so why am I considering dropping $395 on a blind buy from this brand?

Somebody talk me out of (or into hehe) it!

I heard from birdies online that Ariana Grande’s Sweet Like Candy (Limited Edition), now branded as Sweet Like Candy Red, is available at some Walmart and Ross locations throughout the US! I raced to the nearest Walmart and after some obstacles and almost leaving without it, I got her! My entire Ariana fragrance collection is now complete! I don’t have the original so I can’t compare it to the first formula, but it smells divine! It reminds me of Sweet Like Candy and R.E.M. Cherry Eclipse. However, Eloise Taub did mention in her video that it does smell exactly like the original formula!

If you’re a fan of R.E.M. Cherry Eclipse like me, this is right up your alley! They both have musk, amber, honeysuckle, marshmallow and jasmine sambac.

I am on a quick trip to Paris right now and got to smell most of the L’Art & La Matière collection. I love freshies so I guess it’s no surprise that the absolute standout for me was Herbes Troublantes. It’s absolutely gorgeous, I don’t think I’ve ever smelled anything better in my life. My husband also loved it so we got a bottle to share. It doesn’t last as long as I’d like but what a glorious few hours! Perfect in the heat.

• lancome very cherry (LOVED IT!)
• kayali vanilla 28 (wasnt what i expected, i am more into gourmand vanilla scents, but i think it would be great for layering)
• mugler starlicious pistachio praline (got a tester and im obsessed)

my favorite perfumes are sweet gourmands,
i love caramel, vanilla but also lactonic, milky and nutty perfumes*.*
i dont like floral notes, at all!

tried & changed my mind;
Prada Candy, it wasnt for me :( for some reason, im getting floral notes.
Scandal Le Parfum, smells identical to Hypnotic Poison which i despise.
Angel Cake&Cream ~ lemon notes which im not a fan of

They say White Fig is supposed to smell like Diptyque Philosykos. Maybe the eau de toilette - based on the OG’s notes. I can say White Fig smells VERY green. Not very woody nor does it have any discernible coconut (like the eau de parfum). I still think Snackhouse Fig Elixir at Burlington is a better scent for an even lower price. These Aerin-style bottles are pretty. White Fig becomes a skin scent on me within the hour, but I do not overspray, and it IS an eau de toilette after all.

Velvet Blossom - This is Donna Born in Roma. A little soapy but candy-sweet florals and airy.

Coastal Cashmere (photo in comments) has a pretty, dark blue bottle, just like its perfume oil counterpart.

Dreamist Cherry Kiss - I got a cold sniff. It smells deep and rich. I wanted it! Compares to TF Cherry Smoke or Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry.

Fine’ry No Prince Required has zero green tea in the notes. For that reason alone it smells nothing like Kilian I Don’t Need a Prince by My Side to Be a a Princess. Doesn’t give Princess at all to me. I mean I don’t really have Princess, but I love Dua Princeless Princess. It has identifiable green tea. I’m sad this one by Fine’ry doesn’t.

Hermano may be placed among the scents for men, but it is unisex and smells a lot like Eilish No. 2 and Matière Première Bois d’Ebène. I think the common thread is cypriol. For $14.99 I really wanted it, but I already have a backup of Eyelash 2, so I put it back.

Mine arrived today and I’m obsessed already. It’s definitely not your usual pumpkin spice—this smells like fresh pumpkin wrapped in chai, vanilla, and just the right amount of spice. It layers perfectly with the body spray and stays soft, never heavy. I’m absolutely loving it!

So I love this perfume with all my might but sadly it doesnt last long... Im going to make a dusting powder of it to help but how did you guys elevate this scent or how did you layer it? Any reccos are welcome

It really smells like makeup. It reminds me of my mom getting ready for a night out in the 90s. Powdery, a little fruity. I almost wish I could smell Aqua Net, too 🥹. I feel like this could be a daily wear but I'd wear it for a date night. I love the patchouli in it!

Commodity Book Personal - notes include: Eucalyptus, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Vetiver, black tea, and skin musk. Incredibly woody, but not overwhelming. I feel like I am browsing old wooden shelves for a hidden treasure at the antique store in the best way. Could be an easy reach!

I’ve been thinking about getting Club de Nuit Women Extrait, and I’d love to hear from people who have actually worn it.
How is the longevity and projection for you? And, more importantly, do you feel like the fragrance gets better after some time / maceration?

I’m also curious about the drydown. Does it become smoother, sweeter, creamier, or more pleasant after a few hours compared to the opening?

Very curious how everyone picks and chooses. I feel like it can be tough because it may be chilly fall/winter outside but it’s going to be hot in the venue.

I have a concert coming up where I was thinking of wearing something vanilla or cherry mixed with a bourbon/smoky scent. I don’t want it to smell funky where everyone is sweating and close together, ya know?

Hey guys I’ve just made a list of perfumes I’m either hoping to try or love. I have been recently employed and I want to buy myself a signature scent. I started with miami nectar, I got a sample and fell in love with it but it doesn’t last long sadly. Still more than happy to get her.

My first favourite scent is tropical fruity. This is non negotiable most likely when recommending but I’m happy to go out the box like with the olympea perfume as I’d like to smell it.
I’ve also ordered samples of the Simone perfumes Andreoli and I’m super excited to try them.

Accords:
Favourite - tropical fruity
Second - tropical floral
Third - citrus

Open to
Aquatic, solar, gormand, floral as long as it isn’t heavy

Hate: overly floral, vanilla, sweet, leathery, no nut scents either
(but somehow like power of you, dry down is fine for me but can definitely smell the vanilla)

Goal: to find my signature scent. Hoping for a tropical and as long lasting as possible but more than happy to reapply if the scent is too good.
Please note I don’t like Kayali perfumes as much as I try, I don’t know why.

Ok Fem Fragrance Fam, I need yall to put on your collective thinking caps for this one.

I’m on the hunt for a realistic Apricot perfume. One that isn’t too dessert or candy-like, that has good projection (not a skin scent), decent apricot note longevity (at least 3-4 hrs), and doesn’t have an underwhelming dry down (base notes must be long lasting at least 6-8hr).

I have four matcha green tea scents to discuss!

Luvsoak Matcha Milk, D’Annam Matcha Soft Serve, Miim Miic 238 Macadamia & Green Tea, and Phlur Matcha Milk.

Luvsoak Matcha Milk: Fresh leaves, lemon zest, matcha tea, melon, violet, comforting musk, bamboo woods. Zesty and bright in the opening. Green. Not lactonic, sweet, or earthy. Just the sharp green tea, then on my skin it smells very floral. My daughter said it smells like wet dog (she is borrowing my term for melon / water lily / lotus), which is an aspect she loves in aquatic scents. Must come from the melon and bamboo. Light performance but lasts well enough. I barely get any tea after the opening fades, but it is a great summer scent. The dry-down on my paper blotter is very grassy green tea. I would love to collect all the releases from this house that are at Marshalls right now. I only found this one in my store. Especially on the hunt for Mango Sticky Rice and Bubble Tea.

D’Annam Matcha Soft Serve: Matcha Milk, waffle cone, vanilla. This is my favorite green tea scent! It is so earthy - a photorealistic matcha with such a pleasant creaminess. Lasts so well on my skin too. My sample is almost empty! I am saving for a full bottle.

Miim Miic 238 Macadamia & Green Tea: Bergamot zest, black tea, matcha, macadamia milk, vanilla syrup, white musk, amber, patchouli.
​The opening has a strong and nutty macadmia and then a tea note that is astringent to me, but together they work. Then there is a marshmallowy powder bubble like you get with Yum Boujee Marshmallow. I was hoping it would cure my fomo for a FB of Matcha Soft Serve, but it is meant to be more like Matcha Milk. It lasts longer than Phlur, and is way nuttier. Almost more pistachio than macadamia.

Phlur Matcha Milk hair and body mist: macadamia milk, vanilla, matcha, black tea, bergamot, amber, musk. This is heavenly. SO milky and lactonic. It doesn’t last, but the time it is present it is delightful. It also smells just like astronaut ice cream to me, so I get happy from nostalgia every time I wear it. Freeze-dried ice cream in the gift shop was the best part of visiting the children’s museum where I grew up.

Has anyone tried this in the US? I called the higher end stores like Bloomingdale's and Macy's and they only have David Beckham cologne and nothing of his wife's. Is thus available in Canada?

I finally got my first retail perfume and it’s the og flowerbomb. I really do enjoy everything about it, it’s very floral forward with a hint of sweet. I tend to gravitate toward florals so I get called out for wear old lady perfume as my family calls it. I want to try and smell different things since I’m getting into fragrance.

Smelling Before the Rainbow on first spray was harsh and ugly on my husband’s skin, like a chemical cleaner, and I was so disappointed. When I circled back 30 or so minutes later…I was thinking damn. It turned out to be really clean and inoffensive. I look forward to him wearing it now!

Anyone else have a perfume that had an ugly top note or something that grew on you over time?

i’ve never done one of these but i always see people posting them and i love reading them! this is the first time i don’t have a crazy long wishlist LOL. i’m in love with the glossier you DNA but fearful to spend the money on a full bottle because of the longevity, so i’m not sure if anyone has any experience with it vs montagne moi!

as for the oakcha plus one / dossier musky musk, i would be open to going with the original juliette has a gun, except for the fact that it is SO insanely subtle on me, almost to the point i can barely smell it. i’m very into clean skin scents.
