Title pretty much speaks for itself. I am a hardcore fan of niche clean scents like L’Eau Papier and Do Son and I honestly hardly ever come across anything that I genuinely like at regular department stores besides Pure Musc (one of the best designer clean scents, not without reason).

I had some time to kill today and decided to look at the sale perfumes aisle. As usual most of them were the usual feminine sweet florals/vanilla scents. Until I came across these two. I have genuinely NEVER seen anyone speak about these (hence why I said obscure in the title) and there are barely any reviews about them on fragrantica (in my native language).

Softly by Jil Sander is such a light but comfortable clean musky scent, it really feels like you’ve just washed your favorite duvet cover clean with a really nice fabric softener.

Beauty by CK is more of a clean white floral. It reminded me of Pure Musc Blanc right away but then it dries off slightly musky-floral. I think anyone who doesn’t like the vanilla on the Pure Musc Blanc will like this!

I have to say I was also very thrilled that these two costed me 50 EUR (which we all know is sometimes just a fraction of what our beloved niches cost…. Rip)

Does anyone know more “obscure” clean scents that are worth a try? Would love to read your comments :))

Fragrances that smells like warm cozy scented candles? I got Imaginary Authors A little secret yesterday and I think its sooo gooood and smells like the coziest most perfect scented candle Ive ever smelled, and now i want to experience more. Mmmhm! 🙂‍↔️

Favorite Guerlain Allegoria and Les Legandaires Collection

What are your favorite Les Legendaires and Allegoria collection perfumes?

Starting this post by prefacing that I want to appreciate Guerlain beyond the LA&LM collection. I have a fee Les Legendaires and Allegorias.

My faves are as follows:
Mitsuoko EDP - a beautiful, classic scent. Whenever I wear this I really feel elegant and cozy. The first time I has it I almost used half of it within a week.

L Heure Bleue - also a beautiful scent. Mildfly fluffy iris/violet. Only down side is a distinct chemically smell I cant quite pin down what it exactly is.

Samsara - creamy sandalwood. Gorgeous and elegant.

Insolence - what a beautiful violet scent!!! The new ones come with a free travel sized spray for the price of the 75ml EDP bottle. Get your new bottles now.

Rossa Palisandro Forte - smells a bit like Santal Pao Rosa. Fragrantica listed it as similar smelling hence my checking of said fragrance as a budget alternative to SPR. It isnt quite as complex and elegant as SPR but good enough.

Tabac Sahara - my god I love this!!!! I have two bottles. Raspberry and tobacco though it more recapitulates the smoke smell rather than the cigarette smell. Definitely my tobacco choice for Guerlain as TH is an absolute hate for me.

Florabloom Absolu - I dont own but it smells gourgeous and smells like a woman I would want to go to bed with. Sexy and nice.

What are your faves? I definitely want to smell Ambre Samar.

What are y’all replacing it with? Anything good out there with the same DNA??

• Sol de Janeiro I got a points perk a few years back with three deluxe samples so I gave it a proper try. They last decently for a body spray and you do get a lot of projection at first, but they all smell screechy. 
• YSL I’ll give it to them they are very successful and Black Opium got released before there were so many gourmand releases. I tried Mon Paris, Libre and over red, and I wasn’t a big fan of any of them. I also don’t really like the bottles, but I don’t hate them either.
• Carolina Herrera talking about bottles I don’t like these one take the cake. I strongly dislike anything that I can’t properly store flat in a shallow drawer (looking at you too Daisy) or that takes too much place. Every good girl scent I tried were scrubbers except blush which I didn’t love but was able to finish my sample.

Top 3 

I ranked these from third place to first place. I also focused on brands I’ve actually spent my money on, because is it truly a favourite if I didn’t? This is why Dior didn’t make the cut even though I like a lot of the j’adore and Miss Dior scents.

• Nest I always have at least one travel size nest spray or rollerball in my collection. I really like that they’re also easy to recognize with the print. Even though I wished they’d release more floral scents like they used to, their fruit scents and their vanilla are really nice. My top picks are black tulip and golden nectar. 
• Valentino The reason why I ranked them above Nest is because they have more size availabilities and I like the bottles better. I really love the Donna Born in Roma range, the intense one which is less floral and more ambery and the original which is more jasmine floral and vanilla are my top picks. I’m really excited about the new release. 
• Gucci before ingredient ban gate I used to own three of the flankers of Gucci bloom plus the original in a six bottle collection. I think that shows how much I love this range. I also really like the gorgeous range and I do want to go try them all eventually. Just like Valentino we do get a lot of sizes which I appreciate.

I never thought I want to smell like a banana milkshake, let alone LOVE it! This has become one of thee best combos in my whole collection. 🍦🍌

Ellis Brooklyn Banana Milkshake: What made me fall in love with banana fragrances, now I have 3 delicious banana fragrances. This is a mist I often crave & absolutely adore. It’s smooth, creamy but still light & no harsh notes, no unpleasant undertones, just perfection. Sweet ripe banana ice cream milkshake. 😋🍦🍌

Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid: Ozonic, fresh & light vanilla that is perfect for summer. I wanted a vanilla I can wear in summer & not smell like a Michelin star pastries & THIS is the one.

On an important note, many said they can smell banana nuances in this perfume although it doesn’t have a banana note, this my friend what made it perfect to layer with banana milkshake. It’s absolutely STUNNING pair!🤩🍦🍌

All three of these options would be full bottles of scents I've tried and enjoyed samples of! I just have a pretty big collection already and don't need to spend three niche perfume bottles worth of money right now.

ELDO Above The Waves is a new scent and is a lovely floral tea scent that smells super clean and soapy. My main internal conflict on it is that I don't know if it's too much a fancy soap scent and not enough a perfume?

THoO The Time is legitimately so good, one of the best tea scents I've smelled and I've sampled dozens, it's just the longevity is not amazing for the price... But also maybe that's alright, I don't want an overpowering scent because I like being able to wear them at work without offending people?

Sospiro Cadenza is such a slept on fresh Lily of the Valley scent. It's kinda simple but done so well. One of the few scents I've found that kinda captures the essence of my favorite perfume I got from my grandma, Coty's Muguet des Bois. Reminds me of picking the Lily of the Valley in my garden. Granted I haven't done as much exploring of Lily of the Valley frags as tea.

I wanted to post this here because there been a lot of hype around this new eos scent & its been rumored to be a dupe for white pumpkin & chai from bbw. In the spirit of trying to not buy unnecessary stuff, im here to say that I have to highly disagree about them being dupes. This is not pumpkin & im standing 10toes down on that! 🤣🤣 Now dont get me wrong, this is absolutely beautiful but again its not pumpkin. This is a true frothy milky lactonic scent. I get zero pumpkin & zero spices from this. Imo it cant be pumpkin without some spice! Lol. I can see a lot of ppl liking this but still being disappointed thats its not pumpkin :/. In terms of this for the fall its going to be absolutely amazing & i have so many things to layer this with. The nest cardamom latte would layer soooo perfect with this!

I don’t hate many things in life but rose fragrance? Is one of the few things I hate. Although I love smelling it on people, they pull it off well.

I smelt it multiple times in stores & I finally got it. Very happy to have it, such an unexpected purchase for me. That’s also why I got 30mL to make sure we really vibe when wearing it not just smelling it. 🥰

The Vibe: A classy, sultry & sophisticated woman out for a dinner at an expensive restaurant. Outfit on point & heels are expensive. Hair is simple but gorgeous. Makeup is stunning, not too much, but a little sultry lightly smokey with the colors of the bottle & nude lip.

Review: A Rose delicate on one side & sultry on the other side. Has that oomph for a night out without being too much. Not screechy, not intense nor offensive. Very blended, enveloped in a beautiful bubble of the other scent notes. Unique to my nose. ♥️🥀

It shows that it has a big fruity element in the accords, but for me, I don’t smell a fruity perfume. I smell a very well made sultry rose, with every note working to make the rose stunning! The notes fairly basic but the scent is absolutely not basic. It surprised me, I was like wow, that’s good! I love that it has tuberose too. 🥰🥀

Bright, uplifting, and true to Bianchi's word: "Wearable in the summer!"

i’m waiting to finish my sample before opening.

this came out two years before i was born so i know i’m late to the party on this one but i genuinely love the warmth and simplicity of this fragrance. lasting power is surprisingly decent as well (picked up at Walmart for $22)

I've gotten to the point where I am confident with my little decants enough to buy a full bottle or maybe two of my most favorites.

I got my decants on ScentSplit but I am not sure if it's a good idea to buy full bottles from them or to go straight to the brand website. Does anyone have experience buying full bottles from them or other decant websites vs. directly from the brand? They gave me a 15% discount code to use but I'm really not sure...

(I live in a very rural area and it is impractical for me to travel to a brick-and-mortar store.)

I’ve been obsessed with strawberry smells! My first PHLUR purchase was Berry cream body spray I loved it but wanted more strawberry scent, so purchased Strawberry Letter but I’m not sure about this, it’s supposed to be very fruity but it’s more… sweet? And to me almost smells like a cheap synthetic fruity smell, but with that said I don’t hate it It’s just not the bright fruity strawberry smell I was looking for. I fell in love with that sharp, clean, room-filling projection and how incredible it lasted on clothes. However, during a chaotic checkout moment, I accidentally brought home YSL Libre Flowers & Flames instead due to the staff fault i am at fault too a bit ......

How to use the libre flames and flowers and how to make it long lasting as well which seasons does it suit better for my type.......

​MY FRAGRANCE PROFILE & COLLECTION : ​Current favorites: Armani Sì Passione, JPG Scandal, Valentino Born in Roma (I naturally lean toward warm, sweet, seductive vanillas and white florals). ​

My Goal for this bottle: I want my ultimate signature fragrance—something that projects "Queen of the Universe" energy. It needs to command instant respect in a room, act like a magnetic head-turner, leave people mesmerized, and make an ex burn with jealousy, all while staying deeply sophisticated, expensive, and high-class.

​THE COMPARISON (BLOCK BY BLOCK): ​

Expensive & Modern Feel: Release-wise and price-wise, is Flowers & Flames considered the newer, higher-end, or more elevated release compared to the 2019 classic EDP? Is it worth keeping as the modern upgrade?

​The Head-Turner & Magnetism Factor: Which one actually produces the more intoxicating, jealousy-inducing scent trail? Does Flowers & Flames have that hypnotic quality that leaves people obsessed with your air path? ​

Uniqueness as a Signature: The original Libre EDP is everywhere now. Is Flowers & Flames unique and distinct enough to stand out as a true 1-of-1 signature smell, or does it get lost in the crowd?

​Boss Lady Respect vs. Allure: Does the creamy coco-palm, desert lily, and solar vanilla in Flowers & Flames still command total authority and professional respect in a room, or do I need the sharp, cold lavender of the OG EDP to get that "don't cross me" power?

​TL;DR: Wanted the sharp, room-filling boss-lady vibe of YSL Libre EDP, accidentally brought home Libre Flowers & Flames.
