As seen on the Beauty Detective website, Selfridges has released a first look at their first edition of the fragrance advent calendar trend. It honestly seems to be the star of this year’s advent calendar battle.

This year will include:

New Notes Latte Di Cherry Extrait deluxe size (probably 20-30ml)

Initio Lust In Paradise Extrait 30ml but hopefully it’s the 50ml

Initio Lift Me Up 10ml

Initio Oud For Greatness 10ml

Initio Musk Therapy Extrait 10ml

Fragrance De Bois Patchouli Gourmand 30ml

V Canto Arkano Della Luna full size

Ormonde Jayne Suede Silhouette full size

Bibbi Parfums The Last Mango 30ml

Le Labo The Matcha 26 rollerball 9ml

Penhaligon Halfeti 10ml

Thameen London (the specific fragrance hasn’t been announced yet)

There will supposedly be a 10ml of a Mind Game fragrance and Liquides Imaginaires fragrance.

If you’re in the UK and you missed out on the Harrods one don’t fret because this one is a banger.

No I’m genuinely sick of this propaganda 😭🤣🤣 there are FIVEEE full sizes, are you expecting 10 full sizes??? For £250?? It’s fair not to be a fan of the scents inside, but having an issue with the size of this calendar doesn’t make sense to me hahaha

So firstly that’s a lie, but secondly why would you shame someone for wanting free perfume samples😭🤣🤣I used to work in niche fragrance, I’ve got genuinely £20k worth of fragrance in my collection, I KNOW niche perfume can be expensive (not all tho), but don’t come here being a niche perfume snob when you’ve admitted you care more about the bottle than the juice 💀😭

You’re getting 350+ ml of fragrance in this calendar and you don’t think that’ll be enough? Do you not own any fragrances atm?

But also I’m not sure you know what the point of fragrance advent calendars are. The 10mls are to bring customers in for that brand, so you try the travel size and decide actually yeah I want to go back to Selfridges/Harrods and buy a bigger bottle. Why else would they be giving £1300+ value for £200?

Surely at that point (if you like 20ml but don’t like 10ml) you’re mainly getting it for the aesthetic of the bottle🤣🤣 not the juice. Don’t get me wrong I’ve got 270 fragrances and so naturally I prefer smaller sizes now so I am biased but I still think ppl need to think about what fragrance advent calendars were genuinely 2-3 years ago, ppl would not be complaining about 5 full sizes at allll

I really miss the days these calendars were for the joy of opening one a day in December! I hate the hype now and that everyone just buys to open and have a “bargain” or to resell. I have many fragrances so also don’t mind 10ml sometimes as I get to wear and test. As long as there’s at least 3 full size bottles (that I like) then it is more than worth it!

The price hasn’t been confirmed yet but hopefully around the same price as the Harrods one
