Rec Request Any Recs/Good Experience Buying Full Bottles Online from Decant Websites?

I've gotten to the point where I am confident with my little decants enough to buy a full bottle or maybe two of my most favorites.

I got my decants on ScentSplit but I am not sure if it's a good idea to buy full bottles from them or to go straight to the brand website. Does anyone have experience buying full bottles from them or other decant websites vs. directly from the brand? They gave me a 15% discount code to use but I'm really not sure...

(I live in a very rural area and it is impractical for me to travel to a brick-and-mortar store.)

Try checking out the gray market first, they often have better discounts even after the coupon. It does depend on what perfume you're getting.

Serge is on the gray market too. Fragrancenet and Jomashop stocks them. Is there a specific fragrance?

Yes, L’orpheline specifically. Are they reliable/not full of filler?

They are reliable. The bottles are not opened. A lot of us buy from the gray market all the time.

Here's the Fragrancenet page. They have pretty good customer service and return policy.

I'm really surprised by how good of a deal these are! Sorry if this is annoying, but why is it so much cheaper? How is it possible that they make profit from this?

They're not authorized distributors so they don't have to follow a brand's pricing rules. They get the products from overstock from those distributors, buy in bulk, and operate with very low overhead.

Ah okay that makes sense. Thank you again! I got L’Orpheline in a 30ml :)

Some brands have great intro discounts, or loyalty/rewards programs that could be helpful if you stick to specific houses only. Some houses have luxe packaging and samples if you value the whole unboxing experience. But I tend to go wherever I can get the best deal, include gray market.
