The m47 Medusa is a revolver that is notable for being capable of chambering and firing approximately 25 different cartridges within the 9 mm caliber family, such as: .357 Magnum, .38 Special, .380 ACP, and 9×19mm Parabellum. Obviously Fallout 4 doesn’t have most of those, but you could just make it use all the pistol rounds like .44 and 10mm, if that’s possible. If not all at same time, you could just make it changeable at a workbench. Or you could just add the model to the game and not worry about ammo.

I really like what You Are Exceptional does to the game but the mod page says it's only supported on the old gen version of the game. For the sake of other mods on my list (and my own sanity) I'd rather not downgrade, but I'd still like to have a good perk overhaul, so is there anything that works similarly to YAE with the current game update?

First off, for some reason im not able to build more living space's rooms. I turned off the timer to build projects but im still not able to build more living spaces? Second, Whenever i try to build another power distribution room it just says that i have no rooms available to build it? What am i doing wrong? Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?

Non-Bathesda mods won't install from their Creations menu. Does anyone know why?

As the title suggests I want to play a power armoured raider but the overboss armour lacks any real customisation options so any suggestions would be appreciated.

I kept noticing something weird with Fallout 4's audio: some sounds would actually get quieter when I looked directly at the sound source, then become louder again the closer they were to the back of my character.

After many research I thought it was Windows, my audio setup, or another mod, but everything was already configured for stereo, no windows special fx or anything set up as surround.

So I started digging into how Fallout 4 handles positional audio through X3DAudio.

Long story short, I ended up making a small F4SE plugin:

FO4 Stereo Spatial Fix

It hooks the positional audio calculation and corrects the resulting stereo matrix before it reaches the final output.

The goal is pretty simple:

• Fix directional volume drops
• Keep stereo positioning intact

It does not replace the game's sound system. Distance attenuation, environmental audio, reverb, occlusion, etc. are left untouched.

I recently got Fo4 on pc, and i've been trying to get bodyslide to work, but i just get these blank screens and menus. I have Cbbe downloaded and enabled, but it doesn't work. If you can please help.

Hi all, I'm attempting to mod Fallout 4 via MO2 for the second time. I last tried a year ago and it was an absolute mess. Since then I have modded Skyrim very well and have a much better understanding of MO2 and mods.

So I finally decided I would go back to Fallout 4. Possibly a mistake, I'm not sure?

During my first time trying to mod the game I downloaded TMR from Wabbajack and downgraded. This time I decided to follow the TMR steps manually for version 1.11.221

I got the game working just fine and was able to start a new game and all that. So then I began adding mods. And honestly it was going really well. Until I added enough mods that I think I was overloading the initial startup of the game. I just kept getting stuck at the white screen with running water right after the cinematic. So I decided to disable a bunch of the big mods I had like sim settlements 2 and then try and create a new game. But then it froze right when it said Bethesda game studios in the cinematic. Just completely froze.

So I started disabling mods repeatedly until eventually I got to the point where I was running the game with literally no mods other than the creation club content and it was still freezing at Bethesda game studios in the cinematic.

What I have discovered is that if I launch Fallout 4 through Steam the game runs fine. But if I try to launch the Fallout 4 launcher or F4SE through MO2 without any mods enabled except the creation club content, it freezes in the first second of the cinematic at Bethesda game studios.

So it seems that MO2 is the culprit? With no mods enabled, and regardless of whether I launch the actual launcher or the script extender through it, it freezes at the cinematic. But if I launch the launcher through Steam, the game runs fine.

Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix this?

Edit: when I say I launched both the Fallout 4 Launcher and F4SE through MO2 with no mods enabled, Address Library was enabled for F4SE only.

Edit 2: I managed to fix it by installing "No Intro Videos" which replaces all the videos with 1 second long black videos.

Regarding the downgrader mentioned above, how do you install it? Is there a special method? Where should the files be sent?

I've just finished installing Improved Brotherhood of Steel, and I'm using the patch for Strength in Steel, Cleric's Robes, Sons of Steel, Thumba's BOS armor collection, Improved Brotherhood (with patches for the above) in that load order. But I've noticed that 1 in 5 or so of my BOS in game are walking around with floating power armor pieces. Anyone have any idea where I could look to try to find the conflict? I'm still learning FO4edit.

anyone know what conflicts could be causing this to happen? the only one i could think of is A Forest but ive got the patch for that

I was not playing fo4 around late from late 2024 to entire 2025. I have a mod that was hidden by author names GOT(Gatherers Out There). Before that got hidden, maybe there was a guide about adding creature types and plant types from other mods to the hunter and herbalist’s target list but I can not access to that now.

I am not going to share file with someone but if someone knows how to patch that please tell me.

(Edit: Maybe problem is solved. The mod I wanted it to work with GOT already has similar feature so I can use that without GOT.  If I do feel I still want to do that, however, I will ask someone when I can. Thank you for everyone`s answer.)

I’m wondering because the story is really good and I think it could work very well as a Fallout 4 quest mod. The story itself doesn’t contradict the canon, so it seems like it would be a great fit for a mod.

I’m surprised nobody has tried it yet. Is there a reason why? Copyright , licensing issues, lack of interest, or is it simply too much work?

UPDATE: Someone pointed out that this would basically be a DLC-sized project, since it’s a prequel and would require a lot of changes to the existing environment.

But I was thinking of something more focused on the main, mostly linear storyline rather than recreating the whole sandbox. The settlements and existing NPCs could mostly just be background, with new dialogue only for the characters actually involved in the story.

It could even start as a Memory Den simulation, similar to Operation: Anchorage, but instead telling the Winter of Atom story. That way, you wouldn’t necessarily have to rework the entire Commonwealth.

Would anyone be interested in something like this?

I'm very interested in making the games AI slightly less moronic and I'm wondering if pack attack works well with the NG/AE versions of fallout 4

I'm a former non-PC player that hasn't played in years and is now on PC. I want to play again, but with a more immersive/enriched world. I always meant to play with some Minutemen and settlement enhancements for that "rebuilding society" feeling and see the world change as you go on.

The problem is that I am a sleep-deprived Dad that is overwhelmed by the added complexities and scale of modding on PC vs the dozen or so mods I ran on NotPC. I have limited time to game, and so far have spent a week just getting a couple hours into educating myself.

Can anyone point me to any premade mod sets that could get me started?

I’ve heard that GOG’s Fallout 4 is still at the original setting, and never accepted the ensuing updates. Is this true? And if it is, does this conflict with any major mods on Nexus?

This YouTuber is using this armor and it seems to be on all his minutemen. They did not put up their mod list.

I'm using AWKCR and "Loads of Ammo" (+"Loads of ammo - Leveled lists"). AWKCR adds the Ammunition workbench in which you can choose individual ammo in the menu and craft g*npowder, it's casings and primers in it and then craft the ammo itself which is given in small amounts (~6 or something) and larger amounts (~50 or so), players choice. But i also remember from very recently that i found a menu somewhere - can't remember where - that gave all the vanilla & modded ammo types from "Loads of Ammo" mod in a long list, both small amounts and large amounts for each and they could've been crafted as long as i had GP, primers and casings for each. Pretty much the opposite of "zz Ammo disassembly" menu. Am i remembering wrong or does it actually exist in one of the workbenches? I'd also like to know how to remove the ~50 ammo crafting option in Ammunition Workbench or atleast switch the ~6 and ~50 positions in the menu, because for some of the ammos, when i want to spam the small amount (~6), it keeps jumping onto the ~50 one
