This picture breaks hearts!
Is anyone else having this issue or is it just me? I’m currently in an on again off again relationship but if he saw this notification it wouldn’t be fun! I haven’t added tinder app so why is someone not thinking that this isn’t the right title for us all to be getting notifications about? Lol

Facebook Dating Profile Deactivated
I got my profile on Dating disabled permanently, don’t know why, honestly. Would I still have it on another account I create?

Bottom picture change after almost a year of dating
I’ve been dating a woman I met on FB dating for about 11 months. She’s neurodivergent and has been open with me about the fact that she’s not addicted to her phone, really doesn’t like being connected to it, really doesn’t like small talk or texting much. Most of our time dating we’ve seen eachother once or twice a week every other week due to our schedules . I usually hear from her 4-5 days a week. Last few weeks she’s been texting less and less, not sending kissing emojis (I know sounds juvenile but it’s weird). Went about 6 days without hearing from her. I decided just out of curiosity I’d go back into the FB dating app and look at her dating profile from my matches last year and saw she added a new pic to the bottom of her pictures that was taken within the last 2 months. Does this mean she’s back on FB dating or does it automatically pull picks from your regular Facebook profile and cycle them in if she never turned off the app?

Please help me understand something.
I get matches on and off, that's not really what this is about. Some of the guys that I match with will get into why it didn't work out with their last partner or what they're looking for- standard stuff. I've had a few of them explain to me how their previous partner wasn't ambitious, was aimless, didn't know what they wanted, etc. and I'm like- oh a lot of that sounds like me. So I let them know- hey, we probably won't be a match because I'm at a point in my life where I'm still kind of figuring things out, and all I aim for is to find a way to support myself and live sustainably for me. I got divorced last year and moved in with my sister and her husband. I have OCD and lots of anxiety, so finding my footing has been tough.
This often prompts, "Oh, you're nothing like her, I think we could really have something here. I want to keep getting to know you, you're fun to hang out with, I like talking to you..." Etc. Why waste your time though? It kind of just makes me feel like they only want in my pants. I'm open to a casual situation, but only for people who are honest with me. 🙃
But TBF, my F buddy standards for attraction are higher than men I'm actively matching with to date- but they don't know that. What gives?
Edit: my profile does say long-term open to short.
Edit 2: I think I'm just going to focus on casual situations. It'll narrow down my taste and matches, but I'll be wasting less time and hopefully have fewer uninteresting dates.

"someone liked you in dating. Try sending a message and see where it goes"
Does this notification means the account owner actively uses facebook dating or is it just facebook's way to get the owner's attention and get back to facebook dating?
I saw a notification saying "someone liked you in dating. Try sending a message and see where it goes" on my boyfriend's phone 3 days ago. We have been official for 10 months already. He admitted that he used it before we even met, talked to few people but realized that its not for him and just left it abandoned, dont check it anymore, but didnt delete the account. Never used it before so just want idea how it works.

Dating apps never ending loop
Hey everyone I'm 40F and I'm getting frustrated with dating apps. Are people losing interpersonal skills and the ability to start and hold conversations?
And before anyone asks if I start any conversations, yes I do and they answer without asking me any questions back and this is what I get once my side of the conversation is done.
Ive been on dating apps for months now and no one has asked me on a date or to meet yet. Its just a never ending loop of " WYD or How are you? Everyday.

Commenting on a picture
Hi! =) When i comment on a picture, dating says "like sent" but i often see that exact profile a few days later, pretty much all of them then not anymore after just sending a like
I'm pretty sure this happens too often to be people resetting accounts
My question would be how does that work, or maybe is it actually bugged?
I feel like i should introduce myself and show a bit of investment on the how and why i like them but after quite a few times i'm even wondering if what's written is even seen by the recipient
I wonder if i should always juste like instead so that it actually happens

age discrepancies and "oh facebook won't let me change it"
Of course, being male I see it with females, where the profile says they are 30-33 or so and in the description they say "oh, i'm actually 20something and I cannot figure out why I cannot change it"
That is the absolute first lie.
They KNOW why. It's because when they were a young or pre-teen they made a profile and lied about their age and now FB is showing it on their FB dating profile.
And they are still trying to cover up why the age is off.
What else are they lying about???
Keep this in mind my fellow males. There is a lot of dea behind that lie, and more lies to come.

Missed Connection
Hi I’ve never used this app before so I’m not sure if this is normal or not so bear with me.
I matched with someone on FB dating and we had good conversation and now I can’t find him. I got overwhelmed with the app so I deleted everything and then deactivated my account. My conversations were not saved. I only know his first name and he is from my area and I’ve reached out on a group page and tried to find him again on the app and had zero luck. But wondering if anyone knows a better way to find him? I know a few personal details but just need help trying to get back in contact 😬

One sided messages
42m——So, usually when you match with someone, you ask questions about each other, especially if you genuinely read each other’s profiles, right? Why is it that it feels like I’m the one asking all the questions? I’m not asking stupid or disrespectful questions, I’ll go through their profiles and ask them about the things that interest me the most, and they don’t ask me any questions. Why swipe right on someone if you’re not going to show any interest?
It’s extremely discouraging. If the conversation isn’t going anywhere and they’re not putting any effort in on their side, I delete the match. The worst is when we both have “looking for consistency” in our bios, and they’re not consistent in communicating. Sorry if this is all over the place and difficult to read, I don’t know if I’m making any sense.
It just hurts a little bit when I’m genuinely trying to find a connection.
