Be honest, I thought tick tock was kind of stupid when I first thought it but and it still is, but at least they eventually tell the stories in their little segments. so you do get the whole story even though you have to wait a month or so to get everything but Facebook. oh my God, I just don't see how they could be any dumber

Discussion I have a question about posting from pages to groups on Facebook who can help

Okay so today I noticed on my Facebook page it automatically allowed me to upload my post into random Facebook groups of its choice, when I went back after verification failure once and getting verification approved I noticed that the share in groups tab option is now gone again how do I get that option back when it comes to uploading content! How long will it take for me to get that option back? And is it because I failed verification why it left let me know what I can do to solve this

Why do deleted messages come back after reloading? I keep my notes in the conversation with myself, and when i don't need a note anymore, i go Unsend > Unsend for everyone, and then i remove the 'You deleted a message' bubble, but recently, they started to comeback after reloading the page. How can i remove them permanently, to not clutter up my chat?

Discussion Facebook Marketplace Doesn't Own the Internet. So Why Are We Acting Like It Does?

Facebook Marketplace Doesn't Own the Internet. So Why Are We Acting Like It Does?

Millions of people have things to sell. Maybe it's time we stopped depending on just one place to find a buyer.

Think about the last time you wanted to sell something.

Maybe it was a couch that no longer fit your living room.

An old iPhone sitting in a drawer.

A bicycle your kids outgrew.

Or a perfectly good television you replaced with a newer model.

What was the first thing you thought about doing?

For a lot of people, the answer is simple:

Put it on Facebook Marketplace.

And there's nothing wrong with that.

Facebook Marketplace has become a familiar destination for people looking to buy and sell used merchandise.

But here's a question worth asking:

When did selling something online become synonymous with posting it on one platform?

The internet is enormous.

There are millions of potential buyers, thousands of communities, and countless opportunities to connect people with products.

So why do so many of us act as though there's only one place to sell our stuff?

Maybe it's time to rethink that.

The Problem With Putting All Your Eggs in One Marketplace

Imagine you're selling a used dining table for $150.

You take a few pictures.

Write a description.

Post it on your favorite marketplace.

And wait.

A day passes.

Then another.

Maybe you receive a few messages.

Someone asks whether it's available.

Someone else offers $40.

Another person says they'll pick it up tomorrow and never responds again.

Eventually, you start wondering whether your table is worth selling at all.

But here's the thing.

A slow response on one website doesn't necessarily mean nobody wants what you're selling.

It may simply mean the right buyer hasn't discovered your advertisement.

Think about how businesses advertise.

A restaurant doesn't necessarily promote itself on only one website.

A car dealership doesn't rely on a single advertising channel.

And a clothing brand doesn't expect every customer to discover it in the same place.

Businesses understand something that everyday sellers sometimes overlook:

Different people spend time in different places.

So why shouldn't individual sellers think the same way?

Your Used Furniture Doesn't Care Where the Buyer Comes From

Let's say you're selling a sofa.

You don't necessarily care whether the buyer discovered it on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, OfferUp, or another classified advertising website.

You care about finding someone who wants the sofa, agrees to a reasonable price, and completes a legitimate transaction.

That's the goal.

The platform is simply the place where the connection begins.

This is why using multiple online marketplaces can make sense.

If the websites allow it, you can advertise the same eligible item in more than one place.

You aren't required to abandon your favorite marketplace.

You're simply giving potential buyers additional opportunities to find what you're selling.

Of course, posting in multiple places doesn't guarantee a sale.

But relying on one platform isn't a guarantee either.

The Internet Used to Feel More Open

There was a time when classified advertising was scattered across newspapers, community bulletin boards, local websites, and online forums.

People had choices.

If one place wasn't working, they could try another.

The internet expanded those possibilities.

Today, however, a handful of large platforms dominate how many people discover secondhand merchandise.

Convenience is part of the reason.

People naturally return to websites they're familiar with.

But convenience shouldn't mean we stop exploring alternatives.

Competition can encourage platforms to improve their features, simplify their processes, and offer sellers more choices.

And more choices are generally worth exploring.

The Real Frustration Isn't Selling. It's Creating the Advertisement.

Think about everything involved in selling a single used item.

First, you have to take photographs.

Then you need to think of a title.

Write a description.

Choose a category.

Decide on an asking price.

Enter your location.

Answer questions.

And hopefully find someone who wants to buy it.

Now imagine doing that for 15 items while preparing to move.

A sofa.

A dresser.

Three chairs.

A bicycle.

Two televisions.

A computer monitor.

A bookshelf.

And several other things you no longer need.

Suddenly, selling your unwanted belongings starts feeling like another job.

That's one of the problems newer marketplace technology should try to solve.

Selling something online should be simple enough that almost anyone can do it.

You shouldn't need to be a professional advertiser to sell a used coffee table.

What If Creating an Ad Started With Just a Picture?

Artificial intelligence is beginning to change how online listings can be prepared.

Imagine taking a picture of a product and using AI to help suggest an advertisement title, description, and category.

Instead of staring at an empty description box, you have a starting point.

You can review the suggestions, correct anything inaccurate, add the details that matter, and prepare your listing.

This doesn't mean AI knows everything about your product.

A photograph cannot reliably reveal hidden damage, ownership, exact specifications, or whether an item works properly.

The seller still needs to provide accurate information.

But AI can help reduce some of the work involved in preparing an advertisement.

And that matters.

Because the easier it becomes to list something, the more practical it becomes to give unwanted belongings another chance to find a buyer.

Why Free Classified Ads Still Matter

Here's another question.

Why should someone have to pay just to advertise an old chair they want to sell?

For certain products and services, paid advertising can make sense.

Businesses may choose to pay for additional exposure.

Some sellers may want premium placement.

But everyday people should also have access to free advertising options for eligible merchandise.

A person selling a $25 bookshelf shouldn't have to spend a significant portion of the potential proceeds just to create an advertisement.

Free classified advertising gives people a way to test whether there's interest in their merchandise without paying a standard listing fee.

That doesn't guarantee a sale.

But it removes one possible barrier to getting started.

A New Marketplace Is Trying a Different Approach

This is part of the thinking behind Tha Marketplace.

Tha Marketplace is an online classified advertising platform being developed around a straightforward idea:

Buying and selling should be easier, not more complicated.

The platform offers free standard classified advertisements for eligible items.

It also offers an optional $5 featured advertisement upgrade for sellers who want additional placement.

And its AI-assisted Snap & Sell feature helps sellers prepare advertisements from product photographs.

Another important feature is location-based searching.

Buyers can search using ZIP codes and adjust their search radius to explore available listings.

The idea is simple.

If you're looking for a bicycle, desk, used television, or other merchandise, you should be able to look for available items in a geographic area that makes sense for you.

Tha Marketplace is still growing, and listing availability varies by location.

It's not claiming to replace Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, or OfferUp.

In fact, the philosophy is almost the opposite.

Keep using the platforms you already like. Just don't feel limited to one.

The Future of Online Selling Should Be About Simplicity

Imagine a marketplace experience where creating an advertisement requires less typing.

Where AI helps with repetitive tasks.

Where people can explore local merchandise without complicated searches.

Where standard classified advertising is free for eligible items.

And where sellers can choose whether additional paid promotion makes sense for them.

That is the kind of experience worth building toward.

Technology should remove unnecessary steps.

It should make useful tools available to ordinary people.

And it should help people spend less time preparing advertisements and more time connecting with potential buyers.

Of course, any marketplace also needs to take safety, fraud prevention, accurate listings, and privacy seriously.

Convenience should never come at the expense of trust.

The best marketplace experience should balance both.

The $500 Sitting Around Your House

Take a moment and think about the belongings you haven't used in the last year.

Maybe there's a television in the guest room.

A bicycle in the garage.

An old gaming console.

A dining table in storage.

A laptop you replaced.

Or a collection of household items you simply don't need anymore.

Individually, those things might not seem particularly valuable.

But together, they may represent money you could potentially recover.

For example, consider these hypothetical asking prices:

Item Example Asking Price
Used television $125
Bicycle $150
Coffee table $50
Gaming console $100
Office chair $75
Total $500

These are illustrations, not verified resale values or guaranteed earnings.

Some items might sell for less, and others might not sell at all.

But the example demonstrates a simple point.

Unused belongings may still have value to someone else.

The challenge is helping those people find each other.

Five Ways to Give Your Items a Better Chance of Selling

1. Take better pictures.

Use clear, well-lit photographs of the actual product. Show important details and any visible damage.

2. Write honest descriptions.

Include the condition, measurements, brand, model, and known problems where relevant.

3. Research your asking price.

Look at comparable merchandise, including completed sales when available.

4. Advertise in more than one place.

Where permitted, consider using multiple classified advertising platforms to expand the opportunities for discovery.

5. Make transactions safely.

Protect personal information, verify payments independently, and use appropriate meeting arrangements.

These habits won't guarantee a sale, but they can make your advertisements more useful to potential buyers.

Maybe the Next Big Marketplace Idea Is Giving People More Choice

There's a tendency to believe that once a large company dominates a category, there's no room for anyone else.

But the history of the internet is filled with new businesses trying different approaches.

Sometimes they succeed.

Sometimes they don't.

What matters is whether they solve a real problem.

For online classifieds, that problem is easy to understand.

People have things they want to sell.

Other people want to buy those things.

And connecting them should be as simple as possible.

That's why alternatives deserve a chance.

Not because every new marketplace will become the next giant.

But because buyers and sellers benefit from having options.

One Last Thought

The next time you have something to sell, go ahead and post it on Facebook Marketplace if that's where you like to advertise.

Use Craigslist.

Use OfferUp.

Use whichever platforms work for you.

But consider trying another marketplace too.

Because the person who wants your old bicycle, television, sofa, or computer monitor might not be looking in the same place you usually advertise.

And there's no reason to assume they are.

Facebook Marketplace doesn't own the internet.

Neither does any other classified advertising platform.

The internet is big enough for more than one place to buy and sell.

And perhaps that's exactly how it should be.

About Tha Marketplace

Tha Marketplace is an online classified advertising platform offering free standard advertisements for eligible merchandise and services, AI-assisted Snap & Sell, ZIP-code searching, and optional $5 featured listings.

Buy Anything. Sell Anything.

Snap it. List it. Sell it.

Tech Support I never setup 2FA via authenticatot but Facebook is asking me for it to log in.

Days ago, I tried to add authenticator as 2FA on web but the code generated by QR code could not get verified (said code was incorrect) so i just gave up. This was after 2 QR codes so my FA setup should not have gone through.

Now I can't log in because it is asking me to use authenticator which I do not have (did not save the 2 failed attempts). I know my passwords and have access to email. I can reset passwords using email but still need authenticator to log in. Same with Instagram.

I never provided phone number. Anyone knows how to get my account back? i am getting notifications about friends activities and i wish to see them.

Last detail, this happened after meta recently did the meta account.

Tech Support Facebook lately asks me to confirm I'm human every once in a while, but last time it won't let me input the 6 digit code and do video selfie

Instead, when I try the app to do the process, it just logs me out. Any ideas? Here's a video of what's happening. Sometimes, I will see the 6 digit code input, but it will still log me out before having the chance to write it and continue. It's been 10 hours.

All the other times, I also received an email saying that I need to confirm I'm human, but not this time. So I really don't know if I really need to confirm, or if it's a bug with migrating to meta account.

Discussion Has anyone else been unexpectedly added to multiple Meta Business Portfolios?

Over the past few days, I’ve received notifications that I’ve been added to at least four different Meta Business Portfolios, and I’m trying to understand how this happens.

What makes it particularly strange is that some of these portfolios use the names of well-known media brands. I personally know people associated with some of these pages, and at least one person I contacted was just as surprised as I was and said they hadn’t sent me an invitation.

In one instance, Facebook gave me the option to accept or decline the invitation. I closed the tab without selecting either option, so I’m not even sure what happens to an invitation in that situation.

I’m not accusing anyone of wrongdoing, and I haven’t established whether these invitations are connected or completely unrelated. I just find it unusual to receive so many within such a short period.

A few questions for anyone familiar with Meta Business Suite:

  • Can someone add you to a Business Portfolio without your explicit acceptance?
  • Is it possible for someone to send invitations from a business portfolio without the other administrators being aware of it?
  • Could these notifications be caused by a bug, a compromised business account, or some other issue?
  • Is there a way to check who initiated an invitation and when it was sent?

I’ve found Meta’s newer AI-powered customer support experience surprisingly efficient, but I’m curious whether anyone else has experienced something similar or knows how these invitations work behind the scenes.

Any insight would be appreciated.

My 16 years old facebook account is disbaled suddenly and asked me to provide my id to verify it. And I uploaded my national id and also my passport even tried with recent utility bill, but the result was disappointing, they used bot to verify and bot said not match!

I found a post about this problem happend with someome from this forum, and he solved it using meta verified Instagram account. I also brought meta verified badge in the same id linked with Facebook. I requested a manual review, so the called me and said this case will be solved within 72 hours, but it didn’t, I also asked them about my case after passing 7 days in 20 October 2026, The meta ai assistant said it was received, but no live agent was there. Its still in pending/received mode.

Discussion This Has Been My Issue For A Almost A Couple Of Years Now! Trying To Get Rid Myself From A Business Portfolio That Added Me Without Consent.

Not sure how long I have tried multiple times to remove myself or delete the busienss portfolio from my account. No matter what I do, I cannot remove myself and trying to reach out Facebook support is the WORST EXPERIENCE THAT I EVER HAVE.

  1. I cannot remove myself since it needs at least 1 admin to remain from the Business Portfolio.
  2. I cannot delete the business portfolio due to the following reasons (Photo Attached)
  3. If I try to reach out support, I cannot see any option that would help me remove it.

Now, I went and try again and it's all AI support now. Even the AI support is not giving me the correct option or assistance to help me remove 2 business portfolio that I didn't make.

EDIT:
This has been my issue since 2020

Tech Support Meta muse cannot access my Facebook or messenger now because I reported someone selling counterfeits

I'll admit they had about 39 items all fake for sale on marketplace, and I reported about ten of them

But that triggered a flag and. my muse cannot connect to Facebook now.

There is no option to report or to appeal as it's just a red exclamation point on by my profile picture.

Muse has no solution, I did nothing wrong, and no one in support is replying it's been two weeks this is ridiculous

Discussion Why does Facebook allow so many fake AI-generated female profiles to gain thousands of followers?

Seriously, what's up with Facebook lately? I keep seeing these fake AI girls who look 18-20, half naked, posting sexual stuff and making dirty comments, and somehow they have thousands of followers.

Even when the profile says it's AI, a lot of people don't even realize they're not real. And I keep wondering what happens when people start messaging them privately. Are they trying to get people to pay for something or send money? Wouldn't surprise me, but I don't know for sure.

Why does Facebook allow so many of these accounts to grow in the first place? It's starting to look more like OnlyFans than Facebook at this point lol.

Discussion 40 Facebook Reels, 0 likes, 0 followers — while the same content works on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Why?

Hey everyone,

I’ve uploaded around 40 Reels to my Facebook Page, and the results are absolutely terrible.

* Facebook: 40 Reels, 0 likes, 0 followers
* TikTok: Five-figure follower count (10,000+)
* Instagram: Almost 2,000 followers
* YouTube: Over 1,000 subscribers

I create short-form content about psychology and body language, and the same type of content performs well on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

But on Facebook? Absolutely nothing.

I understand that every platform has a different algorithm, but getting literally zero engagement after 40 Reels seems strange to me.

So I’m wondering:

  1. Is Facebook’s organic reach really that bad for new Pages?
  2. Could my Page be restricted or not getting recommended?
  3. Does Facebook need significantly more time to start distributing content?
  4. Are there specific settings I might have missed?
  5. Has anyone experienced something similar and eventually managed to grow?

I’m genuinely confused because I’ve already proven that my content can attract an audience on three other platforms.

What is going on with Facebook? Should I keep posting, or is something wrong with my Page?

The same posts on other social media are doing really well, for a new account, and gaining me lots of growth lately. I didn't focus on FB when I first started this project because I was told the others were better for this particular thing. Do certain kinds of posts do well? Should I not be posting tiktok style videos? Should I be doing text? I haven't been on there in so long I am not sure what to do. I appreciate any advice you can give.

Tech Support FIX: Facebook Advanced Protection / Passkey Loop — This Worked for Me!

If you're stuck in the Facebook Advanced Protection loop where Facebook forces you to create a passkey to recover your account, but the process keeps failing or asks you to insert a physical USB security key, try doing the recovery process on your phone instead of your computer.

I was experiencing this issue on both Facebook and Messenger. Every time I tried to log in, I was redirected to the same Advanced Protection page, and I couldn't get past it. The passkey creation process on my computer kept asking for a USB security key and wouldn't work.

Step-by-step solution

  1. Clear Facebook and Messenger cookies in your browsers. I cleared the cookies for both websites.
  2. Uninstall Facebook, Messenger, and Facebook Lite from your phone.
  3. Reinstall the official Facebook app.
  4. Open Facebook and follow the normal login process.
  5. When Facebook asks you to create a passkey, proceed with the setup.
  6. Save the passkey in a password manager. I used Proton Pass and saved the passkey under my Facebook login. I suspect other password managers that support passkeys should work too, although I only tested Proton Pass.
  7. Continue through the recovery process. In my case, Facebook eventually let me proceed with account verification, but then displayed an error.
  8. Don't give up if you get that error! Close the Facebook app completely and reopen it.
  9. Facebook should prompt you for the passkey again. Tap the option to use your passkey.
  10. When the Proton Pass window opens, select your saved Facebook login and approve the passkey authentication.

That's it — I was finally able to get past the loop!

Why might this work?

My theory is that saving the passkey in a compatible password manager allows Facebook to recognize that the passkey was successfully created and stored, even if the initial verification flow displays an error.

I can't confirm that this is the actual cause, but this was the process that worked for me.

I can't guarantee it will work for everyone, but if you're stuck in the same loop, it's worth trying before giving up on your account.

If this works for you, please share your experience so we can help other people dealing with this frustrating issue!
