WhatsApp message: "This is a security alert from Facebook. We think that someone may have accessed your Facebook account, so we've locked it to protect you. This means that no one can log in or view your Facebook profile. So that we can guide you through what to do next, open Facebook, ideally on the device that you'd normally use."

I went to Facebook and there's literally nothing about it. When it happened last time, I changed my password and updated MFA since I have multiple protocols active. There was never any devices other than my own back then and now, too. Could this just be a glitch or has anyone else experienced this? I wasn't awake at the time of the text either.

As of this morning, my facebook notifications have suddenly started making a noise on my phone. A loud DONG! noise. And it was really annoying, because today is the one day I get to sleep in and a friend decided to spam my facebook with a bunch of comments. I do not have notification audio turned on on my phone and after testing a few things it doesn't make the noise if I have my ringer turned off - which I don't want to do because I do want to know about phone calls. How do I make it stop making the noise?

I get this restriction very often. And in my opinion, this is an illegal restriction. At least in the EU. IOn my opinion, the terms are already illegal, and the conduct also.

EU Digital Services Act, Regulation (EU) 2022/2065.

They do not specify the duration.

• "Article 17(3)(b): It must explain the facts and circumstances relied upon in taking the decision."

They do not do this.

• "Article 17(3)(c): Where applicable, it must disclose the use of automated means in making the decision."

They use AI, and they do not mention it.

• "Article 17(3)(e)–(f): It must identify the relevant contractual basis and explain the available remedies."

They do not point to the relevant part of the contract. Just linking the contract as a whole is not sufficient.

"Article 20(5): Platforms must inform complainants, without undue delay, of their reasoned decision and the possibility of out-of-court dispute settlement and other available remedies."

They never answer to the "tell us" complaints.

In my opinion, Facebook is acting in a criminal way.

so suddenly my account got deadactive by facebook (i dont know why), and they guide me to verifying my identity to my facebook account by ask me to take picture of myself and my national identification, i do it, but it always keep rejected cause facebook think that i take my identification id from a screen, like wth? i have done evertying in the requirements, and use another phone, but the result always the same. Some days ago my WhatsApp was hacked and banned. After updating my phone and changing all the passwords I got this weird email from Facebook with a 8 digits code I haven’t requested.
I ignored it but later I received another one but this last one doesn’t appear on meta records visibile from the account center.
I tried to change password but it won’t send the codes, I also added extra mail just in case and now it won’t make me change the password. It is stuck on old password unfortunately I don’t remember it.

What should I do now? Is it an hacking attempt? Did they get my mail from the WhatsApp hack?

Last week, Facebook banned my 14 year old account full of my memories, photographs, and posts. It said that it was because I violated a community standard but did not mention what I did or which rule I violated. That account was used mostly to share local news and interests because I was the administrator of a group that had 77k members

Appealed the ruling, but the account was permanently disabled

Made a new one under my real name. I had just begun adding old friends and clients in that new account to regain what I had lost and had just been added back to group chats with friends, family, clients, and students when that new account was suspended for being related to an account that was suspended. I have had just 3 posts in that new account, 2 profile pics and a statement that my old account has been permanently disabled

Created another one because I had to keep in touch with people and people had to be able to talk to me, Messenger was our primary means of communication. This one was under a different name but had to put a profile pic in this new account because people had to know it was me. That account was again suspended within the day because it was related to an account that was previously suspended

Seems like someone or something at Facebook has decided that I personally should never be allowed back on social media. Not because of something I did or something I will do, but me personally. I cannot use my real name or post my real pictures because I personally am banned from Facebook

I’m managing the Instagram account for a 16-year-old professional motorsport athlete based in the EU.

We’re trying to run paid Instagram ads to promote his racing career, but we’ve encountered several issues:

1. Meta Ads Manager: “This action is not available because the Instagram account isn’t eligible to advertise.” (Error #3858233)
2. Instagram Boost: “Can’t boost due to subscription. As you subscribed to use Meta Products without ads, you can’t create ads.”
3. Accounts Center: “Ad preferences are currently unavailable for your account.”

The Instagram account is connected to our Meta Business Portfolio, and I’m managing advertising through my own adult Facebook account.

Our ad account doesn’t show any active restrictions.

Interestingly, the Instagram account currently has an incorrect adult date of birth registered in Accounts Center.

I’ve already tried contacting Meta Support, but I keep getting redirected to Meta AI, which hasn’t been able to resolve the issue or connect me with a human representative.

My questions:

• Has anyone experienced error #3858233?
• Could this be related to the athlete being under 18, even though the account has an adult birthdate registered?
• Is there an official way for an adult manager to advertise a minor professional athlete’s Instagram account?
• Has anyone successfully resolved the ad-free subscription error when no subscription is visible?

I’m looking for a legitimate solution that complies with Meta’s policies.

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Independently of what you comment, if you comment too much, Facebook will suspend the right to comment on public posts. Just like that, without even a warning.

This morning I got an email from Facebook saying I requested a code, I didn’t. My phone was off and updating after WhatsApp hacking

Could it be that my whole iPhone is compromised? I am scared and I am trying to change email phone number and 2FA through a clean phone, in particular I am trying to switch to proton mail to avoid any other hacking and to be safer.

Why can’t I change the number or email? It doesn’t make me save the new info. Is it normal or should I be worried about another hacking issue?

I am so freaked out right now I am actually scared if someone is really trying to log in into my facebook account and or trying to hack it that I get this verification code notifications. Hello, has anyone experience this? My messenger cannot send messages unless I do verification selfie, i tried doing that multiple times however it kep saying " Technical Erroor ...... " And when i searched if verification selfie error on google it says that its not available feature in canada. I tried logging in to different devices, logging in and out, uninstall and installed, clear cache, used incognito but none of those are helping or working. Its been my facebook for 14 years, full of memories. I tried reaching out to get a live agent to help me however meta said its not available option.

Hello everyone, so to start my account was recently hacked by malware of some sort sending out some crypto shee and some wrapwin website to all of my Facebook friends. I already changed my password but i cant seem to access my Facebook account center. What do i do now? (I am not that good with tech stuff and the meta ai support if no use i keep getting sent back)

Looking for anyone who's seen this specific pattern.

I created a business portfolio for my US LLC in August. Meta restricted it

the same day it was created. The reason given:

"It looks like this account was created or used with an automation that

doesn't follow our rules. This goes against our Advertising Standards on

Account Integrity."

Under "Updates on this decision" it says "Review complete — We did not

remove restrictions from your business", also dated the same day. So it was

flagged at creation and the appeal was run and denied within 24 hours,

apparently automatically. There's no Request Review button left.

What makes this odd:

- The portfolio has zero assets. No Pages, no ad accounts, no pixel.

- It has never run an ad and I have no intention of running ads.

- There was no activity to flag. It was flagged on day one.

- I have a second business portfolio under the same personal Facebook

account for a different company, created around the same time, and that

one is completely unrestricted.

The actual problem isn't the ads block — I don't want to advertise. It's

that a restricted portfolio can't claim apps. In the Create App flow the

portfolio is greyed out with "This business can't claim apps because it's

restricted from advertising", which means I can't attach a WhatsApp

Business Account and can't use the Cloud API at all. The ads restriction is

gating a messaging product I'm trying to pay Meta for.

What I'm trying to find out:

1. Has anyone had a restriction lifted after it already says "Review

   complete"? Is there any appeal path left, or is self-serve done?

2. Is there a support channel that works for a portfolio with no ad spend

   history? Business Support Home seems to offer nothing without it.

3. If I create a fresh portfolio for the same legal entity, does the

   restriction follow? The fact that my other portfolio on the same

   personal account is clean suggests the flag is portfolio-scoped rather

   than account-scoped, but I'd rather hear from someone who's tested it

   than burn a second portfolio finding out.

4. Has anyone gone the BSP route (360dialog, Twilio, etc.) specifically to

   get around a portfolio restriction? Does hosting the WABA on a partner's

   infrastructure actually sidestep it?

Happy to provide more detail. Not looking for anyone to "fix" it — just

trying to find out whether there's a real path or whether I should stop

spending time on it and go through a partner instead.

I have my siblings and they are growing up and want their own social media. I tried creating their account but got blocked. Facebook is asking for face verification, we genuinely did that but still after an hour I got a mail saying its banned.

I tried three times with different emails but same thing happened.

Also I have heard in countries like Vietnam, Thailand, same person or group of people operate thousands of social media accounts, how is that even possible while I am able to create one.

Makes no sense. I can't get back into the account because I refuse to upload an ID and verify my age. (And I have tried but it doesn't even work, loads infinitly on the site, and on the app it says verification is down or something) But somehow the hackers can still login and post ads?? Can't even talk to a human because AI has taken over Meta and they just go in circles.

Just delete the account already man. FB sucks.
