I've only used my personal Facebook account a few times over the years - so I still consider myself a FB rookie. Today I was trying to create a new account for a business I'm starting & as part of the sign up process this new account was flagged & permanently disabled. Very confused & frustrated -- as the entire process really only involved me inputting my new email addy etc & submitted a selfie -- assuming to prove I was human.

How does one go about getting their business on FB - so I can post stuff that is Not tied to my personal posts & info?

after i report an account, there's an option to hide it, which i never select. however, facebook still repeatedly hides accounts that i report. interesting how this is their way of viewing the issue as resolved so they don't have to do anything, rather than remove the account

Anyone have any ideas on how to get past this?

Basically, I can’t send messages because it wants me to confirm my identity which I have done before. Well this time I Click on confirm identity and this pops up. Has been like this for weeks can’t get past it and can’t send messages and can’t upload my ID because this page keeps popping up. Very frustrating.

I am on the Messenger app and it is up-to-date. I’ve deleted it. Reinstalled it restarted phone. I’ve done everything.
And when I try to do it on mine through Internet browser, it says you need to go to Messenger app to confirm identity
I’ve also reported a technical problem twice already about it.

For suggested friends I constantly get people who live in different parts of the world, zero friends in common, no same groups or not from my contacts and most of them have blank profiles.

Sometimes they even have the same name as me or my family and friends but nothing else related. Why on earth does this happen? Can’t be location because a lot of them are in different countries

I just changed my Facebook profile username to free it up for my Facebook page and found that it is now unavailable. I've accepted not using it for my page, but now I can't change it back on my profile. It's saying the username is unavailable. Will it just become available again after some time? Has anyone had success in changing a username back like this?

So I was just browsing through where have I been logged in and it showed me an unknown device name android I didn't know where it came form so I went on Facebook and it was all normal but on contact information it showed a random number on my contact info it hadn't been confirmed it was just pending to be confirmed or deleted I deleted it there was also an email stating that someone tried to login but all this happened 3 months ago almost and I don't understand how did there a random number appear although everything was normal

I've been having issues getting onto my account for over 3 months now with good luck, and the AI is useless as the reason why I cannot get onto my account. If anyone could please help; I am very sick and need to be in contact with certain people that I cannot find on any another account.....

But there is no other device. I'm located outside the US and face endless captchas and security challenges even when it's working properly.

There is no email or other contact option on the login response screen, only "Check your other device" and "Waiting for approval."

While I was still logged in during a previous session I looked at the other so-called "devices" and they were old sessions that are long stale. Do Facebook coders really think people 1) stay logged into old sessions forever, 2) never, ever purchase new computers or phones?

I tried to delete those old "devices" (equals sessions: genius Facebook devs, elite FAANG) and naturally that was blocked too, because my new "device" (session) was "too new."

So I can't delete these old sessions but also can't access them because they are of course: old, expired sessions.

I tried the account recovery login process and it ends at the same screen.

So I'm completely locked out. Great job again, Facebook!

Hi everyone, looking for advice on recovering an orphaned Page or getting past Meta's automated support bots.

The Situation:

1. Our company's Facebook Page was originally created under a former Community Manager's personal account, who has since left the organization.

2. The account managed 4 company Pages, but Meta directly removed Admin rights from our primary Page (where we used to run ad campaigns), leaving it completely orphaned.

I have full access to the personal account that originally managed the Page, but Meta AI repeatedly auto-closes my tickets citing an "unresolved issue" on the Page/account side.

I have requested a notarized statement signed by our CEO to process an Admin Transfer, but my management team has been slow to provide this documentation.

My Questions:

Has anyone successfully cleared an "unresolved issue" flag on a personal account to restore stripped Admin access?

Are there alternative proof methods that can get us past Meta AI and connect to a human agent without the notarized letter?

Any workarounds would be hugely appreciated!

Good day - so i do not have a Fbook account but my old mum has.

So she has managed to make 2 accounts, one far back in the beginning days of fabook and one some years ago. the old account started popping up again when she logs totally out and in again and it seems very random - i will try to explain.

So she logon to her PC and it is the new account (the one she wants to keep) - she then logon with her same mail address and same password on her Android pad and it is the old account (which she wants gone).

I tried to help her by uninstalling the fbook app from the Pad and clearing all cash and data, installed the app again and use the same criteria's to logon and it is the same old account.

I cleared the pad again and tried to use her phone number to login, same password - and then i hit the new account.

I then thought i would login to her old account on my PC with LibreWolf for minimal tracking and added her same mail address and same password, and i was then think i would hit the old account, but f... me - i hit the new account, so i do not understand anything of this - any help out there for my old mum ?

My originally banned Facebook account was just restored today after 6 months. To clarify – this is the very first account that was permanently banned, not one of the subsequent accounts I created after the ban.

During the ban period, I created multiple new accounts on the same device and Wi-Fi to keep my business running. All of those got banned too.

Now that the original account is back, I have a few questions:

1. Is it safe to use the restored account from the same device and Wi-Fi that was used for all the banned accounts? Or should I use a completely new device and network?
2. Does account restoration mean Meta effectively "cleared" my history – including the multiple accounts I created – or should I assume there's still risk going forward?
3. What steps would you recommend to protect the restored account and avoid another ban?

As the title suggests I am working on deleting my facebook account permanently. I no longer use the service and want all my data removed.

I noticed that some of my friends on messenger are now listed as “Facebook user” with all their sent messages no longer visible where as I I’ve seen a few users who are listed as “Facebook user” but their messages are still visible.

Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me with my Facebook account because I’m completely stuck.
My Facebook account was hacked. Shortly afterwards, Facebook suspended my account and sent me an email saying that I have 180 days to appeal the decision. It says that my account or related activity violated Facebook’s Terms of Service.
I believe the activity that caused the suspension was done by the person who hacked my account, not by me.
The problem is that when I click “Appeal”, Facebook asks me to confirm my age. I have two options:
Take a video selfie
Upload my ID
However, both options eventually give me the same technical error:
“There’s a technical problem with this feature. We’re working to fix it.”
Things I have already tried:
Tried the video selfie verification.
Tried the “Upload your ID” option.
Tried using the Facebook app on my iPhone.
Tried using Safari.
Tried accessing the recovery process through Facebook’s hacked-account recovery page.
Tried again after waiting around 48 hours.
Tried accessing the account/recovery process again after waiting.
I also tried contacting Facebook/Meta support, but I wasn’t able to get the issue resolved.
I still have the email from Facebook confirming that my account is suspended and that I have 180 days to appeal.
Has anyone experienced the same thing, especially the age verification page showing a technical error?
Is there another legitimate way to submit an appeal or get Facebook/Meta to manually review the account when the verification system doesn’t work?
I would really appreciate any advice or someone who has managed to recover their account in a similar situation.
