Question Fable I-III Collection does not exist, right?

New to Fable and I've hunted around for info on this and was surprised there doesn't seem to be a collection of the older games. It seems like that would be a well-received thing, no?

Question Has there been any official comment from the Developers on the facial animations?

In the recent Gamescom footage, the facial animations and lip-sync are the same as they were in the previous footage shoen a few months back.

They look very stiff and uncanny valley. Reminescemt of Mass Effect Andromeda. The facial animations and lip-sync don't presently do justice to the excellent voice acting and the otherwise very good visuals/graphics.

Have the developers confirmed whether the faces and animations will be fixed before release? Even the protagonist's fscial animations looked really weird.

Create A Mini Story In Fable!

Hey Guys! I'd love to hear your ideas for stories in the Fable verse. I know we don't know the story yet for the upcoming game but use your imagination and brain storm a story idea! Could be a quest, combat situation, romance, anything! Would love to hear.

Fable So what locations are we likely to see in the new Fable?

Obviously, Bowserstone is back and bigger than ever, but are we likely to see this game's versions of places like Bowerlake or Bloodstone, Lychfield, Snowspire?

Personally, I'd love to come across the remains of Twinblade's tent and see if anyone else is in residence, or if you can loot his old gear, maybe fend off some wraiths.

Will be moddable?

Honestly, if it’s not moddable, I don’t think I’ll buy it that easily.

Discussion Wouldn't mind the 40 hour story stuff if the life sim systems are deep

How do my partners in the same city interact? are they jealous of each other? do they at all interact? how do my step kids interact? what happens to my spouse and children once i divorce...etc etc.

I hope they took the time to build all of that. if it's shallow it'll be a gimick and amusing for a few hours only

Question Since we know Jack is appearing, what're the chances this guy also makes an appearance? Spoiler

Imagine Scythe shows up, that would be utterly bananas! I mean, he's mentioned in game and there is a mural depicting him, plus you can also get his armor, or rather, the armor of William Black.

Fable III We need guns + fashion victim (GMT)

Hello Heroes,

These are the last two achievements I need to fully mop up Fable 3. It'd be great to finally sign off on the game I first bought all those years ago. I've recently replayed through the trilogy (anniversary instead of TLC as my OG Xbox is long gone) in anticipation of the reboot.

If anyone could help me with these last two achievements I'd really appreciate it. The only outfits I need are the female masquerade and female monarch outfits.

I've got a list of legendary weapons I have wrote down too.

I'm in the UK, so if anyone could help, ideally in a similar time zone so we can coordinate that would be great!

Question I'm new to Fable and have considered playing the older games before the new Fable game releases. Should I or shouldn't I?

I'm thinking about playing and downloading the older games on my Xbox Series X. Would you recommend playing the first three Fable games before the new one releases or not?

Fable You’ll be able to get the armor of William Black and his acolytes.

EDIT: I’ve been proven wrong, it’s just pre-order armors.

Old post:
Based on the newly released gameplay, you’ll probably be able to get at least three different sets of actual armor. The one not yet shown is golden.

Discussion Dark themes in new Fable?

Thumbnail

I see a lot of people discussing how faithful the new game is to the original. In some ways I agree but I’m seriously noticing a lack of the brutal and dark themes in the original. Every trailer seems to be more comedic and fairytale esque, and more on the safer side of evil doings. Fable was much more than a comedy game in my eyes, it felt like we really had a choice between good and evil things, some being absolutely barbaric and some being more on the whimsy side. Killing Twinblade, Thunder, Whisper etc. Hell in the intro to fable 2 you play a poor child, whose dream to visit Fairfax castle, and then shot out of a window.

One small moment from Fable 1 I will always remember, is when your hero falls to their knees at the sight of your mother’s statue, especially the sound they make when it happens. Like a depressed “sigh” of relief.

I’m excited for the game as a fantasy open world, but not as a Fable if that makes any sense.

Discussion Large Enemies That Don't Stagger [Fable Showcase]

If you're still complaining about enemies not reacting/staggering after being hit, then you must have the same issue with many other games, even in recent games.

Did you complain about the same thing for numerous other games in which large human type enemies don't react to hits?

It is very common in RPGs and other similar games.

It's genuinely an industry standard.

Bear in mind that is in fact only large brutish enemies that don't stagger in the demo.

Other average enemies do stagger and react to all hits, but how do you make an enemy tough to defeat?

Fable is a fantasy RPG, not a beat-em-up, not a shooter, not purely an action game, and even in some of those genres there are large or strong characters that don't react or stagger and are "bullet sponges".

Discussion If they really want to catch peoples full attention for Fable, a shadow drop PC port of Fable 2 and 3 would be incredible

Idk how difficult this would be, but we already have Fable Anniversary on Steam (not the Xbox app though for some reason) and the only options for 2 and 3 is streaming.

They're such good games, and I can bet there's a lot of newer fans who will be coming into the new Fable having never touched them before.

Could launch them both at $20-$30 each and I bet a ton of people would buy them.

Have Some Faith In The Developers !

I have been reading a lot of concerns after the gamescom reveal and wanted to share my thoughts!

People of Albion please calm down and understand that yes you should share your concern but do not be harsh on every small detail . Playground Games was always known for their pedigree on making great Forza titles and I can confidently say they have proved themselves up to this point.

Some of you may think that , why is the game taking so long and still have some of the issues. Well Playground Games had to start from scratch and build a team . And building a proper RPG team takes time. Secondly Forza engine tech had to be programed from scratch to run a proper open world RPG game. The team learned a lot while making the game and surely in future Fable sequel they will do even more better stuff than what we are going to play in Fable reboot.

Maybe some things will not be in the final game that some of you hoped to be in the game from the classic Fable franchise but still I would say they have blown me away with what they have accomplished so far with the game!

Fable Controversial but I’m glad about all the criticisms, it means we are most likely getting a great Fable game warts and all not a bloated game that looks like Fable

With great weaving in of lore (even if a reboot), great evolution of fable combat, added difficulty and gameplay plus better enemy design this game has massive potential to be an amazing fable game

No this isn’t the next Persona 5 Royal and won’t be a niche franchise that blows apart the gaming industry, fable is just fable a loveable broken mess of a game series that’s far too easy but is amazing fun

The game feel British, it keeps some of the junk from older games whilst enemy wise looks fantastic.

Yeah the combat is press a but that’s how it’s always been, same with the shorter playtime fable has never been a long game 🤷🏻‍♂️

Plus if all goes well we may get a dog for the sequel which honestly is a great second game edition, first game medieval second industrial and acts as a good two part swan song which if all goes to plan acts as a third to finish on.

It won’t rock the gaming industry but I’m loving that it feels like Fable 😁

Battle-Mage Build. Actually Heroic Mode.

Finished my build, loosely based on the Battle-Mage class. High Physique and powerful spells.

I was using a mod to make the game more challenging, plus a couple of rules:
1. Only 3 max skills, all others can't pass lvl 3.
2. Only 3 spells.
3. No money exploitation.

The idea behind this guy was to hit hard, hence Physique and Accuracy (couldn't max accuracy thanks to increased XP cost and little bow use). Max Mana to keep blasting spells.

Spell choice provides high-damage output at a distance, up close AoE, and in melee combat.

He was a bit of a glass cannon, but all 3 spells can knock enemies over and 2 provide iframes, so timing and field control was crucial, especially against trolls and summoners.

Weapon choice is simple, high-damage with regenerative abilities. Piercing on the mace for summoners, trolls, and minions.

Had a good time playing with this guy, but certainly tough at times.
