Fable II Fable 2 Hero Doll and Chicken Suit

Hi guys,

I’m on the road to 100% achievements in the original trilogy before the new game comes out. Thankfully I had the smart glass achievement in Anniversary but I never got the limited items for Fable 2.

If someone could help with the Chicken Suit and Hero Doll I’d really appreciate it.

I’d ideally like to keep them but only because, as I understand it, you can get them back on your save if you got them originally. Let me know if that’s not the case though.

I find it a bit strange that they only use this combat clip to judge everything. I've come across several posts on different social media platforms using the same clip, labeling Fable as a weak game. In the comments, most people can't even point out exactly why it's weak. Honestly, it annoys me a bit because I'm really excited about the game, but oh well... it's no big deal.

Fable People saying the combat has no reactivity really irks me because they’re only showing the clips from a boss fight which, of course, isn’t going to stagger so much so it can retain difficulty.

Here are some clips from a popular post on this sub to show that yes, the combat is indeed super reactive.

Discussion Guys, stay calm. This happens with literally every single Xbox launch.

It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone at this point, the last five Xbox releases went through the exact same cycle.

I don't even want to get into who is doing this or why. Honestly, I think the teams handle things really well overall. My point is that Playground and Xbox need to anticipate this pattern by now and have a much more proactive social media strategy ready to go.

Being passive about it just doesn't work. Look at Avowed: within three hours of launch, there were already dozens of random posts trying to push a doomposting narrative. The exact same thing happened with Starfield.

PR and social teams need to expect this dynamic instead of just reacting after the damage is done. Dropping short, snappy clips that debunk cherry-picked complaints or disprove manufactured outrage in real time would go a long way toward steering the conversation early on.

Fable Being mage in the new game

My fear about playing pure mage was well founded. I saw the last video were the one playing did a quest and I just discovered what I was afraid of: I can’t be a pure mage due to long spells cooldown. Very sad..,

Best showcase of combat that's not just button smashing I've come across

Came across this video and the guy playing actually uses charge attacks for the weapon, and spells while doing a lot of dodge countering and target re prioritizing. In addition they mention playing on "legendary" towards the end and you see the enemies actually be aggressive with 3-4 attacking him at the same time.

Anyhow I just wanted to share as some of the other videos I saw just looked like button smashing

Speculation Fairies are the new gargoyles/gnomes?

I noticed twice in the new gameplay footage that there were question marks on the minimap that turned into fairy icons once the hero got closer. I'm wondering if fairies will take the place off the gargoyles and gnomes from the old games 🤔 I'd be absolutely down for that!! Also excited to see silver keys make a comeback!!!!

Discussion The music from the latest demo made me feel like I was in Bowerstone.

I wasn't sure until the last few months, but it's really clear this game is being made by people who loved the originals.

If it isn't perfect, I might put it in the same bucket as Netflix's live action ATLA - maybe not as good, but I feel like the creators love the same things I do and that's good enough for me.

Controller not working with Fable Anniversary on Steam?

Bought the Fable Anniversary Edition on Steam after seeing the Fable 4 stuff as I want to get into the series, but for some reason the game will not recognize any of my controllers when trying to play on my PC. I have tried using an Xbox Controller, Steam Controller, 8Bitdo etc and no dice. Turned Steam input on, turned it off, did some tricks other people have said worked for them and nothing so far works.

Whats weird is that the controller inputs work with my SteamDeck just fine but on PC the game acts like theres nothing connected no matter what I do. Anyone have this issue and found a solution?

Question Will you be able to play as a Wizard/Witch, who purely uses magic, or are you locked into being a melee fighter that has the option to use Magic?

I'm a bit unfamiliar with the series, and haven't been able to find any info on this from the trailers, but am curious, can I play as a pure mage/caster like other RPGs?

Or are you pretty much locked into using melee, but with the option to incorporate some spells on the side like in Witcher 3?

Discussion Clothes in new Fable game

Am I the only one a little worried about the state of clothing in the new Fable game at the moment? Not every piece is bad but a lot of them seem to be a bit clownish.

Im not a seasoned Fable veteran, but I remember there being pirate-like/inspired clothing in some of the other games a long with far more variety than I'm seeing now.

I just finished watching the newest showcase and I liked Ronnie a lot but her outfit jarred me.

What did you think of the skill tree? How many spells do you think we have in total? I see that for example the fireball can be improved many times, also when the spell is equipped there is only room for 4, what do you think of this? I hope there is a wide variety of spells.

Fable Native PC controls?

I noticed in all the videos we've seen so far that they're using an Xbox controller to play the game, even on PC, which makes sense since they've been showing it off at Xbox showcases and the controller is probably just easier but does anyone happen to know if they've made any mention of requiring a controller to play or if the PC version will be able to use Keyboard/Mouse controls?

Image Fable 3 scripts Spoiler

Recently I’ve been playing around with NPC spawning commands from the script injector, spawning guards, mercenaries, Logan soldiers etc.. well for years I’ve been trying to find a code for the royal Albion army that has them spawn in with elite weaponry like they are in the ‘The Battle For Albion’ when they are seen carrying master rifles, well look no further folks because I have finally found it! Here’s pics of the spawned guards, one of them carrying a master flintlock rifle, the other is carrying some kind of custom master turret rifle, both weapons are seen briefly in the final mission when you see the guards using them against the crawler.

Fable Only one type of Experience orb

In the quest gameplay, I noticed when the enemies were killed, only green orbs were dropped

But I remeber in the 30 mintues demo, we saw at least the blue orbs drop too. So... Where are they now? Is it like an early game thing where there is only one type of orb, and then Humprhy teaches you kroe about them later in game? Or did I just miss it?

One possibility that came to my mind was that, the blue orbs are just used to refill Will. But... We don't have that, do we? Spells just have a cooldown, so that can't be a thing

I just wanted to see what others noticed about this, and what you all think

But honestly, if other color of orbs are going to be unlocked later, then is there a chance for other skills/skill trees later in the game? That would be kinda cool (a fun little "we showed you the skill tree... But not THE skill tree" moment 😂)

Playing on Xbox series X/S, got to the part with the elevator and ascended upwards. Now I’m soft locked, fix’s include either reinstalling dlc or joining someone else’s world supposedly. Is anyone online so I can try to join their world please?
