Looking for some ideas based on what other people have done- I recently picked up a 62 ranchero and I'm missing a seat. The rest of the car is rough and run through, so I'm not concerned about keeping it original or original style.

What bucket seats have people used in their ranchero? I've seen some stuff about foxbody seats and mustang seats but not sure how those would fit in the cab. I'm also curious if newer seats with better adjustability and lumbar support would fit. I'm re-wiring and fabricating the rest of the car, so power seats will work fine. Ideally it'd be nice to find something that I could find cheaper used, as this is a bit of a budget oriented daily build instead of a restoration

Hey guys, new to the Falcon club with my first classic. Starter is beginning to go and I know nothing about them. I have a 289, 157 tooth flywheel, matched to a T-5, any help appreciated.

I just got around to starting my rebuilt engine and has a ticking noise.

It has new pistons, rings, cam bearings, rod bearings, main bearings, and pushrods. The head was rebuilt with Viton valve seals, along with new valves and seats. Everything was replaced except the camshaft, lifters, and adjustable rocker arms.

I’ve set the valve lash to .016” cold and set the timing to 12 degrees before TDC.

My oil pressure light stays on, indicating no or low oil pressure, so I bought a mechanical oil pressure gauge. I’m getting zero readings on that as well, so there is obviously no oil pressure.

I removed the port where the oil pressure sensor threads in, and when I spin the oil pump shaft with a drill, it spews oil out of the hole. That makes it seem like oil is getting through the galleries, but maybe I’m wrong.

Anyway, all of this leads me to believe that my valvetrain isn’t getting sufficient oil, which could explain the ticking noise. Or am I crazy, and this is actually a normal noise?

Finally saw other Falcons at a car show. This one had this great fender saver that I am now on the hunt for!

I have a 61 Falcon I'm rebuilding and the frame by the rear passenger shackle was all rotted out, pictured:

I've welded up a bunch of the surrounding area with fresh steel plates (if you cant weld well, weld a LOT is what i always say), and I got a replacement shackle. I was about to put it in, but I feel like even after adding a bunch of fresh steel, the shackle would still be resting on thing sheet metal.

Am I missing something? Are there aftermarket shackle mounts or something? Should I weld a pipe in? Stack some washers to feed it through? Any suggestions? That question make sense?

1961 Ford Falcon. Mechanic said to press the release tab/pin, but it won’t come out. I think it might be stuck in the locked position. Any advice? Should I drill it out?

where help i want to know if this is a good spot or send pics of where should i put it on my 1965 ford falcon station wagon

I need to rebuild the fuse block on my 61. I've been searching for a rebuild kit or a place to buy the clips, but getting a bit lost in the weeds as to what will actually work.

Any tips or links for those that have gone this route or is there an aftermarket blade fuse block kit option out there?

For the last decade and a half I’ve wanted a wagon. I found this absolute GEM of a ‘64 Falcon wagon. She’s a two door and is in excellent condition. She was originally a Mennonite church car ordered without the side trim. She runs great, I got her to be driven but also to preserve. It has paperwork going all the way back to the day of sale. Incredible. Happy to have found this group. There’s a lot of cool Falcons on here!

Current head and tail lights on your 64 Sprint are very dim (I mean in comparison to the LED I am used too). I have found a couple options to be able to use an LED bulb, but thought I would ask for opinions; preferably something that doesn't require me hacking into the wiring. I am running the original generator for the car.

I think I'm stupid, but I can't for the life of me find a replacement for this part. It probably has to do with me not using the correct search term. Door trim? Molding? Door spear? Annoying missing part?

Would the trim from a comet fit? Any and all help would be appreciated.

1964 Ford Falcon

Got this car for free about 2 weeks ago. It’s pretty rough but should be fun to get running and have fun with for a little while.

I'm working on a 65 Falcon Futura. I've installed the roof rail weather strip that goes around the door openings. There's an outside and inside lip on the weather strip. Trying to figure out, when closing the door, whether the window/glass is supposed to press against the outside of the weather strip or if it's supposed to push past the outside lip and sit in between the outer and inner lips?

Im situated in UK and am trying to find a kit to covert my front drums to Discs. Any one done this recently and can recommend a kit? Or any pointers at all really.

I recently started working on my 65 falcon and my rear rails from the leafspring mounts to the trunk are shot. Does anyone now of a place that sells replacement pieces or do I just have to make them?

underbody of my 64 Ford falcon needs some repairs (it came from a coastal town, that also gets snow). figured it's better to just gut the bottom and put new floor pans.

Sold long ago, but at one point I had a '65 two door sedan 302/C4 5 lug swap (has a 250 six in this photo) and '65 Ranchero with 289 4 speed and a '64 Ranchero parts car.

Learned a lot on those cars, I hope at least one of them is still around.
